For some variety, check out "Man in the Middle" with Maurice singing and "Spirits Having Flown" with their younger brother, Andy (another Gibb brother who had his own career and hits); this was filmed at their Miami home. Sadly, Andy has passed as well. I don't know if you have the brothers mixed up; Maurice is actually the clown of the trio. Check out Robin singing: "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and Barry singing "You Win Again" and "Lonely Days".

    Lyrics:
I know your eyes in the mornin' sun
I feel you touch me in the pourin' rain
And the moment that you wander far from me
I wanna feel you in my arms again
And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show
    How deep is your love?
How deep is your love? How deep is your love?
    I really mean to learn
'Cause we're livin' in a world of fools
    Breakin' us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me
    I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest, darkest hour
You're my saviour when I fall
And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do
And it's me you need to show
    How deep is your love?
How deep is your love? How deep is your love?
    I really mean to learn
'Cause we're livin' in a world of fools
    Breakin' us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me
And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show
    How deep is your love?
How deep is your love? How deep is your love?
I really mean to learn (I really mean to learn)
'Cause we're livin' in a world of fools
    Breakin' us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me
    (Na-na-na-na-na)
How deep is your love? How deep is your love?
    I really mean to learn

One more Bee Gees-related recommendation and then I'll stop: I always liked Barbra Streisand's 'Woman in Love' where she was accompanied by Barry Gibb (Barry and Robin Gibb wrote the song). Check that one out some time. Some of the so-called HQ videos for it have a tinny sound, but this one is better.

They had been singing together since they were children. They can never be replaced, only remembered now. Their harmonies were so natural. Their mother told a story of hearing singing, and thinking the boys had the radio on, but they were in their room singing. She knew they had talent. They have given us so much beautiful music over the years.

Barry described them as two lead singers and a master harmonizer. Barry had the giant vibrato and great falsetto while Robin had a higher chest voice with an amazing vibrato. Maurice had an amazing range also and was a gifted keys, bass, and guitar player. For me, it’s that tone and harmony that you only find with siblings and their song writing. Check out one of their later songs, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”.

The Bee Gees wrote this song but many other artists have recorded it. Barry says that this is one of his favorite songs. In the many documentaries that have been made, Maurice tells us all that Robin & Barry sing together on the second part of the verse. However Robin alone has an ethereal vibrato that will melt your heart! Your reaction is so genuine. Check out a late 90's song called "Alone" and a classic "Massachusetts" Both were hits.

Robin’s classic solo spotlight song was I STARTED A JOKE. For comparison, you may want to react to the promo video from the 1960’s and then the 1989 Live performance. Barry’s solo spotlight is WORDS. For contrast maybe the Ed Sullivan 60’s performance and 1989 Live!!! My favorite for Maurice is JIVE TALKIN, even though it’s not for his vocals:) For vocals, it would probably be WALKING ON AIR.

RR, I've been listening to these brothers for over 50 yrs. And I agree with you about Robin being a unsung (pun) hero of the group. Watching them on video and in concert, Robin's scale more matched Berry's, so to give richness to the vocals they sang in unison. Also, if you closely observe, their diction and timing were the best ever, which almost gave the impression of a single voice with multiple overtones. I know this was something that they feverishly focused on.
Next should be: "Staying Alive", "You Should be Dancing", "Tragedy", just to start. The BeeGees is a very deep rabbit hole and could keep you in content for months. You also have them (especially Berry) in duets with several other big singing stars.

What ambivalence watching her discover the BeeGees. For many of us it is like hearing her say she is discovering air and water. The music of the BeeGees was ubiquitious for anyone over a certain age. They were a part of the fabric of society. To hear somebody say they think they may have heard "How Deep Is Your Love" but aren't certain is deeply puzzling. It is saddening to know that such a basic part of our common experience is no longer common. And of course it is uplifting to watch her respond to their magic -- just as everyone did long ago.

All 3 brothers are Amazing singers but I don't understand why Barry sung in 99% of their songs. Especially with a voice like Robin's and also let's not forget Maurice (Morris) has a great voice too. One of my favorite songs with Robin taking the lead in "I Can't See Nobody", "Massachusetts",

On most parts of this song, Barry uses his "normal" chestvoice. Some falsettos in chorus. To hear him both of his voice-abilities, check out 'Be Who You Are' and I'll tellya, this song will melt your heart! Robin at his best is to hear on 'I Can't See Nobody' and Maurice on leadvocals on 'Man In The Middle'. But yaknow, they wrote more that 1000 songs from 1961 up to 2001.

The expression of romantic tenderness is sadly lacking in most love songs in popular music nowadays.

The magic of the Bee Gees is not only their singing but that they write all of their songs. Plus hundreds more for other artists. True geniuses... all three of them.

I have loved The Bee Gees for many, many years… they had a sound all their own! They have so many great songs! Saturday Night Fever was a popular movie back in the ‘70s. It was a big one for John Travolta! I saw it when it came out in ‘77… it changed the musical world with disco music!!🕺 ❤️

I also hate musicals but I can assure you that Saturday night fever isn't really a musical as it isn't music all the time but it's an amazing movie.

You can check out Robin on lead vocals on the likes of 'I Started a Joke' - a more tremulous but emotive voice even than his big brother. At their peak in the late 1970s they were actually ripe for satire, with the UK DJ/Comedian Kenny Everett infamously sending them up on his TV show: th-cam.com/video/kJtBWJS0v7s/w-d-xo.html.

Here's a super disco live song with little brother Andy joining them! th-cam.com/video/xI68A-rntIk/w-d-xo.html He was a smaller Barry clone. Looked like him and his voice most closely matched Barry's. Even Barry said so. He had a solo career and was tremendously popular. Tragically, he died quite young.

I share this wonderful song with (Barry Gibb) the last one that remains of the 4 brothers of the Bee Gees my favorite band forever ... because it is just beautiful and to say that
this year the (in 1975) Andy Gibb was still only 17 years old, and what a magnificent way he already had, unfortunately when we touch drugs its fatal and he left us too quickly on March 10, 1988 ...
His mother, who had joined him a few days earlier, will say of him: "Andy never grew up, he was like Peter Pan, he was a little boy all his life, he remained a baby all his life ( brittle) ". A "baby" that she and her brothers will have tried in vain to save for years, especially in the fight against her addictions to cocaine and alcohol ... is only 30 years old when he had everything to be a very big stars ... his last song a hit .. @RogueRxyce if you would like to hear Robin, listen to "I started a Joke" or "I Gotta Get a message to you." If you would like to hear Maurice singing, "Hold Her in Your Hand." So sad that Barry is the only one left. Andy Died 8 days before my 19th Birthday (March 10, 1988), Maurice passed away in 2003, and Robin passed away in 2012. :(

I'm so glad I grew up with this music. Saturday Night Fever is one of my favorite movies because of this soundtrack. We definitely had the best music!! No autotune, just great artists. I tell my daughters that we had ARTISTS in my Era and they just have PERFORMERS. Most don't even write their own music these days. Sad.
