Got it done.. took 11 hours. Did it on a single speed gravel bike. Not the right bike tbh. Need a hard tail for the rocky and muddy sections. Other issue was not starting till half 8 so last hour was in the dark but that was actually quite good fun! Cheers
Nice, I did it around 12 years ago in 9hrs 29mins, then the year after a guy on Strava beat me by just 13 minutes. I was gutted, but never got around to trying to get it back.
Nice, that’s an awesome time. I’m tempted to do it again but just get to Liverpool early without the hotel stay. Actually it would be interesting to know the ‘record’ of it done on a bike, 9:29 is impressive mate.
If ya can cycle 10 miles then you can do 100 miles on flat.. just beware there are a lot of boggy grass parts if it’s in wet season. It saps the energy ..
I'd say around 50/60m, haven't really done anything this crazy just thought i'd see if i could do it really. the tow-path wasn't all smooth/flat either which made it hard work and my bike was stuck in a high gear from the start unfortunately so that didn't help either, are u thinking of building up your stamina and having a go at it next year :D
Nice work man
I’m going to try this next week. Useful to see what to expect so thank you.
@@andrews6228 let me know if u do it !

@@MizMatteoIt was mid week, and I only stopped for nature breaks and once got lost near Chorley where there was a branch to a dead end.
@@JohnClimber nice, good effort that. Yes, I know the section that you mean!
Hell of an achievement

@@Lorneplumber yeah, very nice section!
Apart from the bit just after rolls Royce which is shocking if you’re not on an mtb 🙄😀
