The channel has more than doubled in size since I did this series 6 months ago, so I wanted new subs to be able to watch it all in one place, with less adverts, and no sponsored segments. Another new video out SUNDAY - thank you all for your support lately, you’re absolute nutters the lot of you
I started on a bicycle I bought for £200. Worked hard and bought an e-bike for £1400, worked even harder, passed my CBT and bought a brand new 125cc scooter for £2650, now I'm working hard towards passing my full motorcycle license and then I'm buying a 330cc scooter for around £3500. You get out what you put in with this job, it's not the platforms job to hold your hand and make it "easy"
if you wanna get extra tips, tell the customer "I'm so sorry for being late, the restaurant forgot an item in your order and I had to go back to tell them to make it! sorry for the delay" this used to have an insane success rate good luck
Buzzing to see your channel starting to grow again! Been here for a while and you should be on such higher numbers. Most underrated creator on this platform 💯
Just watched this all the way through which I have never done on TH-cam for that length of time or even close . Main stream content here Ed keep it up . Great to see you and Ellis on your channel as that's where I came across your channel 😀
27:06 Literally a white British-looking guy "You're not from Leeds, innit?" That made me laugh :D They don't see a young white dude doing deliveries so often, they probably thought you're Polish :D

Ed, your bike handle bar skills is like watching a shitting dog in cold winter on frosted grass. Nervertheless, very enjoyable so far at 22 minutes in. Big channel soon.
Lad! Just came across your channel and loving the video's! THis one has been great so far! As I'm living in Shipley and quite often visit Leeds it's been great seeing you try this challenge in Leeds!
Brilliant series. I spent 2 weeks in Leeds for a training course last year, and it's weird to think I recognise pretty much all the city centre scenes 🤣
Great video pal,I never really comment on youtube but after watching this video is was pure class and an enjoyable watch. Look forward to watching your future content.
This is truly eye-opening, it's like slog your backside off, and we'll give you a couple of quid. And how come so few tips? Do these people have long pockets and short arms or what? I mean you just saved them a walk or drive to a food place ffs! Massive props for grinding away and telling an excellent story!
Most probably assume that the drivers actually get paid more than pennies and then there's others who just don't believe in tipping culture as it isn't really a thing here until you get to mid or high end restaurants with exceptional service
@@CraftyWitch1990 Yeah, I live in the UK too, but even then I'd still give someone a tip for braving the miserable weather we have most of the year, regardless of how much I thought they were paid 😁
Definitely would recommend an electric bike or alternatively rent one. You’ll have more success with your deliveries. I was searching for some motivation & money challenge & come by you. & your from my city too lol

Matthew 5:11-12 - "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad. '
Still watching, but Ed, get yourself some padded cycling shorts! They aren’t too expensive, but they’ll stop the painful bum / balls (!) & chafing. Many cyclists wear them whether they’re professional cyclists or regular commuters because of the very real pain you get from cycling, & trust me, as someone who grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere & my only form of transport was a bike for years… despite the fact I’m female, the pain is real my friend! And I’m not sure if you’re aware, but JustEat is far more successful & peoples go to when ordering, you can even have both apps open at the same time! You could’ve doubled your money! Worth mentioning! Ok back to the video 😁
Regarding shorter deliveries / ramps etc, remember the person you’re delivering to may be disabled, & disabilities come in many different forms :) And you can thank people like me, with failing disabled bodies, for ramps, at least you don’t need to carry your bike downstairs 😂😂
Try it again at aome point but invest in an electric bike like every rider uses 👍. I do it on a Saturday afternoon for a couple hours to earn enough to get a couple pints down the pub on my ebike🤣
im getting so annoyed by that front brake... one its a claw brake and 2 one side is hanging off. content is a bit ''weird'' in the sense that normally with these types of videos they last 30 to 40 minutes, and i have to pause do something else, play ect. but this is easy to watch, and you can do something on the side as well. you dont stray off with useless info like the others which makes it hard to do something else without being glued to the video. its just you trying out a shitty job that definitely should get a higher pay and its fun to see you struggle on a 90's mountain bike xD also very surprised you only have 28K subs. thnx for the great vid
Not a necessity at all. Most orders are short distances, so it's fine. Think about it, they go 15mph... you can do that on your push bike. If you're not fit (and I mean you have back injuries or something because you can build fitness easy if you're healthy) then like Sneekz said get an electric. But push bike is the best imo, you'd just be doing ubereats to pay off your electric bike when it's not necessary lmao. I get 2 mile orders done fine but ofc it can be tiring if you're not fit
And another thing, I always see electric bike riders having to fix their bikes. Like I see a lot of them trying to repair them on the road and I'm there with my single speed low maintenance af crap bike living life lmao
All the delivery, retail, cleaning, public service employees are doing this every single day for years and still keep a smile on. Just shows how undervalued and underpaid are the people making lives easier for others.
There's a reason all the delivery riders use electric bikes, but if your bike was set up better I think it would have been a lot easier. Saddle too low makes pedaling really hard. A set of hybrid/road tyres are better, or at least making sure the standard offroad tyres are very very pumped up. Also it looked like you were staying sitting down while going down curbs, if you stand up on the pedals while going down a curb you don't get haemorrhoids or infertile. love the vid.
I'm all for electric bikes but far too many of the ones used by cycle couriers are illegal overpowered ones. Something needs to be done about it as it's becoming the wild west out there. Both the delivery companies and the cycle couriers really should know better.
Uber eats pay so poorly for such a massive company. They pay the worst out of everyone and you can tell they're an American company as they seem to expect your pay to be boosted by customers tipping. The only way to make any money as a delivery rider is to have two or even three apps open at the same time such as uber and just eat or just eat and deliveroo. These companies make a huge amount of money yet pay pennies to fulfill the orders!
Watched this all the way through in one sitting. Outstanding! Can’t get enough of your content at the moment Ed! Great to see you’re finally getting the recognition you deserve! 👏🏻

You could always buy a small boat, and taxi people across the channel for a grand per person 😂😂 you even get a free escort rescue boat following you, to keep you safe 👍
I was a delivery rider full time for about a year and it was absolute hell. Aside from the shit pay I also got assaulted several times, got spat on, had rocks, food, drinks thrown at me, had my e bike stolen. Also the restaurants frequently talk to you like you're a piece of dirt on their shoe, even though you're delivering their food. Barely any tips, long waits, and a LOT of rain. I could go on. Tip your riders, even if its just a small amount of change you have lying around, if a few people tip a day that could buy them their dinner.
You make too many breaks during that delivery job. Why you go out in a Park, far away from the restaurants to eat a sandwich? Why you don't stay in a sport near the restaurants, have a bite to eat and when there is a new order you can interrupt your break and earn money. Taxi drivers also don't drive home after every second tour. I did a bit similar job in a hospital where we get called to bring someone to anywhere with the bed or a push chair. We could have a break and eat and dring when we had nothing to do, but we had to be always on standby. If they called we had to stop what we are doing and do the job. But we got fixed payment per Hour.
Wow, never thought I would watch such a long video! Enjoyed watching this a lot as I am currently thinking of becoming a delivery rider. Without an E-bike, this is pure torture, but a decent E-bike that can be used for the distance you need, are pretty expensive, so you either already have one, or basically just pay one to make the money back. i have one that can do around 50-70km (~31-43miles). It did cost me around 650€ (~570£/670$). so if i could deliever food, it would take quiet the time to make even this back, especially as i live in a pretty rural area
Interesting so see this. I work at Just Eat in the Netherlands, and it's so different. We get paid by the hour (Just 1 euro above minimum wage so it's still shit) with a few bonusses depending on the city you work in. The work itself is mostly the same, getting orders from different places and delivering to the customer by bike. Difference is the bike infrastructure. We Dutch aren't great cyclists, you Brits that cycle are, cus you have to dodge way more shit and watch out for a lot of traffic and pedestrians. All in all, great video, keep it up

cant stress how much easier this job is on a moped, just filter everywhere. Easily smash £100 a day, if not well over 200 most of the time
Bro, I'm in Leeds. I'm loving your channel, just watched all of this video and been howling and comiserating. Been through tonnes of PT jobs to survive and been tempted by delivery but I'm not tough enough. Hats off to you our lad!
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this! 😂
Haha cheers!
This was the most British thing I’ve ever watched, I bloody love it 😂
*English

Only found this channel a week ago and all I can say is you're a top bloke 👍 keep the content coming!
Cheers David!
New to the channel. For some reason I got hooked on watching this from the start right till the end, even if you were completely unknown to me before this. I really wonder how you haven't "blown up" yet. It'll definitely happen any day now. Keep up the good work! Greetings from Finland.
Welcome to the channel! Really glad you enjoyed the video, appreciate the kind words from Finland 😊
It would have to be peddle-assisted though. The police checking the bikes were looking for the non peddle-assisted ebikes.
@@tams805 the "moped" bikes are the "illegal" ones. They still have pedal assistant but and/or "auto" drive
Caught this channel by accident glad I found it definitely gonna explode :)
Fair play mate... hard work by the looks of it 💪
Interesting so see this. All in all, great video, keep it up
Omg love this series I’ve missed since 6 months ago nice to see it back keep it up Ed u deserve it ❤
