This route goes past where I live. Always nice to see my local area from a different perspective. One thing I did notice is just how poor some of the signage is for dual purpose pavements. A few of the blue cycle/pedestrian signs are barely visible through shrubbery!
surprised that I didnt see myself in the video as I used to run from Millers Bridge to The RNLI place daily, sometimes twice. It is a really nice continuation of that route if you continue along the path after theRNLI (where you'd stopped) and carry on past the army barracks. when you get to the fields at the end there is a dirt track which takes you to cabin hill nature reserve and then (not really bike suitable) you have a straight run down formby beach to the squirrel reserve. I remember that mattress though - just before the freeport.
Great cycle ride but environment spoilt by the volume of rubbish along the route particularly in the Liverpool Council sections. Sefton a big improvement but who is responsible for collecting the rubbish in both sections
Very true derby rd section been cleaned up since I done this video but the regent rd part upto Miller's bridge is full of broken glass and other rubbish these bike routes are useless if not maintained thanks for watching
Loved the video, no inane chatting, just the polite thank yous. Derby Road is dirty when it's clean lol What speeds were you doing? seemed quite fast. Did you keep off the prom after the swimming baths because of the sand drifts? They can be quite thick
@@johnsmiths9682 hi the video is now 2 years old and derby rd is still filthy broken glass car parts u name it its there and I was going 14 to 15 mph and u carnt ride on the promenade till further down after the baths the sand is to bad plus if it gets into the Bearings of your bike it will destroy it and meny thanks for watching take care
Can you help support a local Liverpool author who is homeless. He's just published a book called Born to be king The seeds are sown by Philip j Lewis. He needs support

Nice video. Theres loads of opportunity there for lots more designated cycle paths, maybe the council should think about adding new road markings?
