This route goes past where I live. Always nice to see my local area from a different perspective. One thing I did notice is just how poor some of the signage is for dual purpose pavements. A few of the blue cycle/pedestrian signs are barely visible through shrubbery!

Nice video. Theres loads of opportunity there for lots more designated cycle paths, maybe the council should think about adding new road markings?

Great video, hadn't realised they had sorted the dock road, used to be a nightmare with the pot-holes. Only part I was bothered about a bit was keeping on the pavement alongside Potters Barn park heading to the coastal path, no reason not to use the wide road in my opinion. Did you carry on along up to Hightown or Formby?

surprised that I didnt see myself in the video as I used to run from Millers Bridge to The RNLI place daily, sometimes twice. It is a really nice continuation of that route if you continue along the path after theRNLI (where you'd stopped) and carry on past the army barracks. when you get to the fields at the end there is a dirt track which takes you to cabin hill nature reserve and then (not really bike suitable) you have a straight run down formby beach to the squirrel reserve.
I remember that mattress though - just before the freeport.

Great cycle ride but environment spoilt by the volume of rubbish along the route particularly in the Liverpool Council sections. Sefton a big improvement but who is responsible for collecting the rubbish in both sections

Can you help support a local Liverpool author who is homeless. He's just published a book called Born to be king The seeds are sown by Philip j Lewis. He needs support
