Thank you, Ive had my eye on this route for a while. My first ever trip was the Kennet and Avon from Reading to Bath the on to Bristol. I cycle on my own as I want to stop to see the beauty around me. This year I’m planning the South Downs Way I wild camp so can stop when I am ready each day
It's a great route and it really does showcase the heart of England. Want to look at something closer to home in the south - will definitely look up South Downs Way. As for cycling on your own, couldn't agree more! Best way to see exactly what you want at your own pace..
Congratulations, you achieved something you have wanted to do in your own way and in your own time. I'm a general utilitarian and commuting cyclist when I'm not taking my car. I'm in Ireland and I have a little week long tour I'd like to do staying in b&b's or hotels somewhat similar to you. Maybe next year..........! I think it would have been better if you had recorded on your phone in landscape instead of portrait.
Thank you! I've visited Ireland many times to see my dad's family. I imagine a bike ride there is picturesque to say the least. Re: portrait vs landscape, will definitely go for the latter next time
What a great video, well done. Did you book your accommodation in advance? Also I noticed you had no paniers on the bike, apart from clothes what else did you carry with you ?
Thanks @johnsmiths9682. Booked the accommodation about 6 weeks in advance. Deliberately chose September as weather is (usually!) half decent and days longer, whilst being off peak hotel-wise. In terms of bringing things, I packed lightly. Brought a bike lock with me but hotels were very good about me bringing the bike up to the room overnight. Apart from that it was clothes for all weather scenarios, which I needed on the last day as you saw!

Well done, thanks for doing the VLOG
Thank you for your comment. Glad you enjoyed it!

Well done mate! 👍🔥
Good video, nice to see familiar sites. Are you going to do anymore?
Thank you. Looking at doing the Royal Canal in Ireland when I chance next. Dublin to Longford (around 90 miles)

You should have rejoined the canal at foulridge to Barnoldswick then to Skipton then leeds. You have missed most of it cheating.
Cheating? Missed most of it? You obviously didn't do very well in Maths at school.
