How long did it take bike time, I cycle on it daily by Liverpool on way home from work
That's one of the best videos I've seen. Thanks for that. I'm disabled and bedridden, I've not been out for two and a half years so that journey was brilliant for me. We'll done. Please do another
Check out a guy called Ed Pratt, he solo cycled around the world on a unicycle, well worth a watch
Hey Paul.....I don't know u but i wish u all the best for the future.
I enjoyed video too.
Here are two cycle channels you might like: Wheels to Wander, Louisa and Tobi. They both did/do world tours and have some fantastic, scenic shots, as well as being really nice couples.
Paul, if there is any glimmer of hope for you having any recovery, I sincerely wish you it.
Thanks Paul, glad you enjoyed this video, would love it if you checked out some of my other videos so you can see my adventures up in the mountains, its not cycling but some fantastic views and scenery!
4.56 is where me and the grandson fish the sarisens head how ever you spell it near ormskirk, used to go Wigan pier in the 80s in are late teens
If you plan to do more canal rides / camps get a waterway s key for water and toilet s . canal planner app is also good to plan your stops shows you what's about food wise and where the next water taps are . Iv done thousands on miles along UK water ways never had a problem camping or with locals . Weather wasn't kind to you . But hay you looked like you sort of enjoyed the trip. Well done .
donk donk donk hahahha wigan pier deffo , wow, love the video hahahah donk donk donk
Hahahaha love it mate
One of the best videos I’ve seen in a while. Absolutely nailed the use of music. Music disconnects you from what you are experiencing.
Well done for the effort!!
Wow thank you, kind words! Appreciate the comment.
Just found this channel while scrolling through. This guy is a legend, I love his honest and down to earth commentary he says it as it is. Fantastic content with entertaining and amusing commentary. Must be a true Yorkshireman😊
Having cycled that route solo, I know it is hard work and nice to actually watch it being done by someone else
So cool! I would love to do that backwards and then cruise the cut back home! Awesome trip
Brilliant mate.
Loved the reference to the club too. Been there on a few occasions myself.
Donk donk donk.......
Haha love it mate! Thanks for watching
Fantastic. Really enjoyed it. Wow!! What a fly tipping heap Blackburn is....Lol.
They need to make the LLC an off road properly surfaced part of the NCN.
Good call starting in Liverpool. Best bit is after Foulridge tunnel.
Love these videos arriving in my notifications! 😂👍🏻 another great video! Well done mate.
Appreciate the support mate!! Thanks for the comment
Well done Liam, great video. Keep em comin.😀
Thank you, will do!
Smashed it 👌🏻 it’s class hearing a fellow Bradford lads accent mush 😂
Brill mate, love the content. You could do anything and I'd find it entertaining 😅 keep em coming.
Haha love that bro! Feeling the support mate.. see you on the next 1
Love your channel, great videos. Having lived in Thailand for the last 14 years I'd forgotten how crappie the UK weather can be. Keep up the good work 😊
Respect mate its hard peddling an ebike with the motor off nevermind doing 70 plus miles.
Yeah pretty heavy to be using it without the motor!
Two friends and myself did this route in September ‘21. Great route, some pretty bumpy sections along the way.
Thats great, did you enjoy it ?
Yeah some sections are really bumpy!
Well done Liam! A Very entertaining Video! 👏🤘😎🤘
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it.
great little road trip.... more please
Loved this video. I am a Donny bloke living in Liverpool so I know those canal paths really well. Well done on the ride.
Great video, loved watching.❤❤
Thanks Alan, feeling the support mate!
That was really enjoyable, looked difficult in the heavy rain. Very stealthy camp ! Look forward to your next video
Yeah was raining quite a lot, especially on the second day! Glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏼
Well done bruv...my arse felt numb just watching 😂
Thanks mate!
Hardcore 🚴♀️💪 u know the score Liam! Great effort, great vid 👏🏻

Well done pal, great adventure. I did Bradford to Silsden and back … a few year ago and my arse still hasn’t recovered 😂😂
Haha yeah bikes are ruthless man, guess you just get used to it over time. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Great stuff, loved it! Cheers, Dave 👍
Thanks Dave, appreciate it 👍🏼
Most underestimated TH-camr I've seen for a long time. How are you on 5k subs, your vids are amazing!
Kind words I appreciate it 👌🏼 Slowly but surely with the subs. More than happy with where i’m at for now but hope to keep building them up as I continue with the vids. Thank you 😊
We need more videos like this...thoroughly enjoyed it. You're lucky to have such a level to ride, alongside canals. I'm in Bromley, Kent and have the Himiway Cruiser and have turned it into a cargo bike...mainly for my hammock stealth camps. This, I found inspirational. Well done mate, hope to see more like this.
TH-cam has thousands of videos like this my guy..
@@iwearLingerie Most seem to be abroad though
Enjoyed thst mate.... i get a strong impression that you're simply being u and ur relaxed personality shines through making this a very enjoyable vid
Cracking video. Enjoyed that. Got the same trip planned next year, as I live near the canal in Liverpool. Planning on riding to Leeds on my gravel bike then back home the next day via the Trans Pennine Trail. Done similar in a day from Scarborough to the Albert Dock in 11 hours a few years ago
Thanks mate, you'l enjoy it, was a great trip.
Congratulations from Across The Pond. I really enjoyed the video AND your awkseent. We cheat over here with 350+ watt motors and Throttle Only mode. I'm thinkin': extend the handlebar stem a few inches and replace the seat with one of the more cushy ones to spare the bwoons. ;-) My 74-year-old neck and shoulders ain't low-vin' the normal riding position.
Well done mate, smashed it 👍🏻
Thanks Andy, appreciate it mate!
Hi mate what a brilliant video, you are great to watch and listen to what an epic ride 😊
Thank you mate, appreciate that 😊👍🏼
Great video, TH-cams algorithm provides again!! Rode right near where I work and right past where I live 😁
The good old TH-cam algorithm eh! Thanks for watching mate.
I enjoyed that. I used to run / row several stretches on that canal. I'd need more than two days now though...
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
Really enjoyed 😎this one bro 👌
Thanks bro, feeling the support mate 👌🏼
Enjoyed the video. Used to live in Leeds and cycled the Leeds Liverpool canal towpath in my youth, brought back great memories. Well done.😊
Thanks Roy, glad you enjoyed it!
My wife did the Leeds to Liverpool run a few years ago, on a normal bike. It took her three days. When she got home I made her take a shower immediately. A key is available from the canals trust to use the lockable toilets.
Did you do wild camping along the way ? would of loved to attempt it on a normal bike.
Fantastic video,as always, pleasure to watch
Well done. You made it seem like a short journey. Glad the video popped up in my tv. I was brought up near the Rishton to Church section and later had a girlfriend who lived near the Mile Tunnel at Foulridge. Beautiful mix of countryside and industrial heritage.
Glad you found the video and enjoyed it mate! Thanks for watching
Nice one mate I,m a Leeds lad living in Scotland now was nice to see the canal and spots I used to fish on was I was a young un …down on my to do list this. Deffo worth a sub fir that effort. Atb Coops 👍🏻🚴
Another cracking video 👍
Thank you Carol, glad you enjoyed it, something different.
Yeah man, smashed it ,need to get me sen a canal boat they look sick lol
Thanks bro
Crackin run ah kid😎👌🏼I’ve a cube acid E bike…..it’s a balance on distance when to kick in the battery….. you did well 💪🏼
Thanks mate! Appreciate it
If I knew you were coming to liverpool I would have done you a bowl of scouse! 👍
Great effort - enjoyed that one!
Thank you 👍🏼
Yes brother well done when I rode my ebikes from Sheffield to Chesterfield next yo the canal I stopped at two cafes on the way but you didn't pass one cafe along the canal man, so bad may because it was s proper bike bath next to the canal because they were parents kids elderly people all riding ebikes with the posh Bosch motor's at one bit a train pulled up next to the boats well i would call them Barges 😋
Great video and ride, well done
Thanks mate!
Yay! Well done! I can see my house at 11:32.
Love that 👌🏼 thanks for watching
Great video, it just popped up on my recommended so ive followed your channel to watch more. Ive cycled some of that, the 5 rise locks climb killed me 😂. Hello from a fellow Bratfordian 😁
Love that! Good to see a fellow ‘Bratfordian’ following the channel! Makes a change from the ‘What is that accent???’ Comments 🤣
Thanks for watching and subscribing 😊
I've got absolutely no interest in bikes but i enjoyed this video because of you mate! You crack me up 😆
FYI ive just been looking at ebikes on amazon 😅
Love the challenge . Next time your up for another trip and need company let me know I’ll be up for a trip 💪
Thanks for watching mate, glad you enjoyed the challenge.
I done the same route a few months ago on a normal bike. The spot @ 18:04 is where I put the hammock up, had to jump a few fences and was a bit noisy but I was out the way and I got a few hours so all good.
Awesome video btw.
Pedalling that far with the assistance turned off is impressive! I wonder how many miles you'd have needed to do without the battery if you'd put it on the lowest setting, given the motor doesn't assist above about 15mph. From a fair bit of cycling canal paths and old railway lines what strikes me is that because it's all on the flat you never get a break from pedalling, no freewheeling downhill apart from the odd lock. And in and close to towns there are lots of walkers and dogs to slow you down. I'm surprised this one isn't an official cycle route all the way. I did Dumbarton to Edinburgh a few years ago on the Forth & Clyde and Union Canals, stopped overnight in Linlithgow (I hate camping, I don't do it) and there are some spectacular viaducts, a great tunnel, and the Falkirk Wheel along the way. Good surface, it's all an NCN cycle route.
How random is that !!
I've only just discovered your channel tonight I live in Rishton .
Think I'm going to do the Leeds Liverpool ride my self this summer best thing about it I can kip in my own bed at the halfway point .
Wigan pier eh had a few nights out there myself when the tunes where oldskool before the music turned to donk .
New subscriber here 😊
Fab video! I've done multi day rides here in Wales on my Trek Powerfly. I recently bought a second battery which goes in my saddle bag. So two day routes are much easier.
Yeah a second battery would be ideal for the multiday trips! Thanks for watching.
Picked a rough spot there pal in Rishton 😂. Good vid pal 👍
😂😂 i’d never heard of it until I did this trip but yeah few people have mentioned its pretty dodgy hahaha
Brilliant, very entertaining sir 👍
8:00 that moment when you find a Style....Zoinks 😂 Arnie can i borrow yer biceps 😉
Well done pal , always wanted to do leeds to Liverpool on bike, you did well on first day to smash off what you did 😊
Thanks pal
Amazing! Can’t believe that you did that. I’d be a corpse...
Wasn’t easy mate , don’t think i’ve sat on a bike since and this was filmed weeks ago 🤣
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors LOL 😆
🙌🏻
Your a rock star good lad 😎
Legend 👌🏼
Quality mate 👍
Thanks 👍
Great vid mate I think I stick to my car though 😂😂😂
You and me both mate 😅 Thanks for watching
Well done Liam hats off to ya peddling most the way no e bike assist the weight of the bike plus camping kits ive been wanting to do liverpool to leeds myself but on a normal mountain bike so it's made me more interested now loved the wigan pier bit 😂
Yeah In hindsight i’d of probs just done it on a normal bike and saved 10kg on the weight!
Get it done mate 👌🏼
Well done interesting video journey some very trying manual cycling
Thank you 👍🏼
Just come across your channel. Well worth a watch. Been to Leeds a canny few times and did wonder what this stretch of the cannal looked like.
Thanks mate welcome to the channel!
Excellent!! What a great ride!
Thanks mate!! Glad you enjoyed it.
Such a brilliant video and a brilliant adventure
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
Greg video. I own an Himiway “Big Dog” and you have inspired me to get out more. Thank you.
Love that! Thanks for watching.
I watched this wondering as an e-bike user if you would have any trouble recharging your battery etc. Obs not.😂 It makes me realize that lands end to John O’groats is very much achievable. I just won’t turn the bike on till 40 miles to go😂😂
Lmao thats it ! You’ve cracked it. The unlimited e-bike is the 1 that you never turn on 😅 thanks for watching 👍🏼
Nice one well done , went to low moor a while back to do the spen vally greenway .
Thanks mate! Yeah I did the spen valley greenway a few times to prepare for this trip 👍🏼
Dreams can become reality love the video
Go on son 🙌
Brilliant ❤
Great effort
.well done
Thanks David

What an adventure!Brilliant 11th hour wild camp.
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
well done pal 😊
Thanks Pal 👍🏼
Wow, for someone who does not bike much, this is quite a distance....congratz

Well played lad
Nice 1 bruvva
Great achievement. well done
Thank you for watching 👍🏼🚴🏼
Brave lad, camping out in Rishton!
😅😅 is it ‘rough ? ‘
@@GoodBlokeOutdoors Yep, Inbreds.. I wouldnt sleep there!
Well done mate...
Thanks bro
What a Guy, reminds me why some people climb Everest? It’s so the rest of us don’t have too😂. Epically inspiring ! Top man!!
Good effort! Im shocked that you rode the first day without the motor! A top of the range ebike is still a pig to ride just a few yards with the motor switched off 😮
Yeah it was so tempting!
orange choc nibbles did it for me, Subbed lol
Hahaha thank you👍🏼👍🏼 legend
What a great adventure 👍 how many days until your arse was back to normal ?😂 127 miles fuelled by junk food, that might catch on mate😂 well done Liam, another success 💪 God bless you mate 🙏🙏🙂
Took a few days mate not gonna lie! Thanks for watching 😊
Perhaps a bit of forward thinking and looking at a map to identify the up hill bits (contor lines) to make use of the power at the haed points of need. Other than that, really enjoyed watching your journey. Thanks for posting it.
Yeah that makes sense mate and would certainly get the most out of the motor!
Top lad💪💪😊
Thanks bro 👊🏽
My battery would have been turned on after the first mile so your doing well mate 👍🏼
Thanks Ash mate!
