Question: Was the wind from the right or the left? I guess that the wind hold was inverted due to the mirror.
@@medwynvermin8772 buddy, I made a mistake when stating the wind direction on that long shot, and I forgot to add a subtitle when editing 😄 I wonder if other people have noticed this too. That being said, the wind is almost always strong where I live and at that permission the drafts are very hard to predict with all those round tall structures.

About to order Orion scope cam. What caliber are you shooting on the fence between a rig like yours and the Fx wildcat sniper in 700mm can’t decide

Great shooting once again!, seeing as you often have to deal with heavy winds, have you tried shooting with slugs instead of pellets? Upon inspection of other videos you have shot with them, hmmm i thought the wind wouldn't be an issue then. Well my bad.
Thanks, bud 🙂 Turns out the wind is a problem with slugs too... After all, airgun slugs are far lighter than their firearm counterparts and we shoot at much lower velocities. In some instances when the wind is very strong and is at a 90 degree angle, you do need to hold for wind when shooting long distance. And it's always windy here, mate. Even more so at the silos with all those tall constructions and the ever-changing drafts around them.

Hey, Chris 🙂 I know you record through your scope too, and let me tell you, if you haven't tried Orion's kit, do so, you won't regret it. Looking through it the image is way clearer than what I'm used to with the SS. Being in the States, it will be easy for you to get one of those. For me and Erlis it became a small nightmare, with all the customs tariffs, taxes and whatnot (mostly due to the authorities in my country)...
@Air Rifle Activities yes I'm going to get one eventually but I'm still trying to get my gun back working correctly I had it working then all of a sudden psssssss freaking leak front reg again a second time already so I installed a delete kit from saber tactical I'm waiting on some parts for my gun as well but I still have 3 other guns I can shoot that are just as accurate ty Alex it does look very clear with Orion scope system he makes some great accessories ... I can just imagine what you had to go through just to get your scope cam system from here to there

Thanks for great videos. Can you or someone else please tell me. If you are shooting upwards at an angle of, say 40 degrees and you miss, what happens to the pellet if you miss? What is its velocity as it reaches the ground?

Pellets are designed in such manner so that they get easily stabilized at lower velocities which leads to them losing speed relatively quickly. They have the effect of a badminton shuttlecocks. Calculating their velocity at the end of their flight is difficult and depends on a number of factors. Low velocity or not, you should always aim in a safe direction, with a backstop or with no one in the way and nothing that can sustain damage.

Alex which airgun do you prefer the Prophet or Edgun Lieshy....right now I've got a gamo urban 22 .. it's a great little gun for what I do mostly annoying sparrows
Glen, they are way too different in their design... I'd even say they're meant for slightly different shooting scenarios. It depends on what you prefer and you use it for.

I used H&N Slugs HP 27 gr .217 at 905 fps. In the rest of my videos I do too, and if I forget to mention them, usually you can find them in the description of the video.
I love Orion's Valdada too - not that I've seen it, I love the image. Hard to get here by me, as I'm in Europe and to the best of my knowledge, they're being made for the US market. Not impossible to procure one, but it will cost me a lot.

will it work with my bushnell 4500 scope the lens you look through has a size of 38.1 MM and the scope tube is 30mm the objective lens is 50mm and also what gopro should I use?
Yes, it will, regardless of the eyepiece's diameter - when you order it, you give the seller its diameter and he'll create a holder of the adequate size. I recommend GoPro Hero 7 Black. And be advised that I haven't tried this thing on an LPVO scope, so if your Bushnell 4500 id the LPVO of the series, I can't tell what image you'll be getting. Contact Orion on the link in the description, he'll know.

as put off a bit now going for airmaks instead I live in the UK so sub 12lbs I'm afraid
Hey, Darren. I've seen one such complaint myself, here, in the comments section to a video of mine. There's been no issue with my Prophet 2 whatsoever, not so far. It's been 8 or 9 months already and I've put a lot of pellets and slugs through this gun, testing mostly ;) But no, nothing so far, I'm really pleased with my gun. I guess with any brand and model there are some units which may malfunction.

Thanks, George. The gun is highly adjustable and can give you different power levels. Like I said at the video start, in this one I was shooting 27 grain slugs at 905 fps.

Switching from the Side Shot to the Orion felt like progressing a whole tier in equipment quality. Guess now you have a distant secondary backup mount that will do the job in an emergency, because now it's yesterday's news.
Too bad about the wood pigeon. I'd have loved to see it on a grill or skillet. 😟
EDIT: Now it seems your next investment should be a proper bipod. It's definitely the weak link in your setup.

I think you got a double on the first shot! I hear your accent and I’m thinking Poland or Chechnya🤷♂️ You are 100% correct about Orion products. Erlis is very good at what he does and is a really good person as well. Products made by an avid airgunner for our community means a lot to me. His magazines for FX airguns IMHO are better than OEM. I am still curious about the accent and what country. You don’t have to say if your concerned about snowflakes and doing pest control. I get it and it’s okay. I do understand. Can’t trust a lot of people in this misinformed world today led around by their emotions and not facts. Stay blessed my friend.

Lovely shooting Master 👏 6:45 that is 1 tough pigeon being shot twice by slugs 😨 I always shoot them upper half when possible to get their heart/lungs, also from their lower back to their neck when behind and below them works great 🎂 Nothing like bricking these Flying Sh#t Sacks 🤗 Nice wood pigeon 13:10 I love shooting these big fat pigeons just so satisfying 👏

Hey, Lee. It depends on what see as "close by". There's another place about a couple of miles away as the sky rat flies 😉 Then another silo complex six miles away. Both are heavily infested. Then another one six or seven miles away in a different direction, which is also covered with feral pigeons and their excrements. But it's worse at a nearby harbour. I included some footage from that place ina video of mine a couple of years ago, it's absolutely crazy there -th-cam.com/video/ezKKb_wNsmM/w-d-xo.html. Go to 09:50 in that video if you don't want to watch it all, and let me know if you believe your eyes. I've asked all if they'd let me solve their problem - they refused. Their loss, if you ask me. And spoiler alert - there's a sunflower seed processing facility relatively close, where you'd see more pigeons than seeds. They can't make up their mind at this point... They want the birds gone, but at the same time they're suspicious of me and think I'll destroy the entire area shooting an RPG, or something 😄 Sorry for the rant, mate...

Perhaps, you could assure them you won't be asking for £ money and the pigeon infestations are only liable to get worse [as they already have]. At the end of the day, surely crop hygiene must feature? ATvB 🙄

If you have the RTI proprietary barrel that was released with the Prophet 2 in .22 cal, then I suggest you try H&N slugs .217 - the weight is up to you, it shoots well 23, 25, 27 grains, and even heavier ones. You can also try ZAN slugs 25.5 grain.
If your Prophet 1 has the long range pellet barrel, don't shoot slugs with it at all.

Well, I wish I could upload one every day, mate 🙂 Unfortunately, I don't get the chance to go out shooting every day...
I used to eat some of the birds, I used to give many to friends; that was back in the days when there were a lot of pigeons at that place. But we removed them. Now I shoot about 10-15 per outing and the cats snatch almost all of them. Cheers 👍
