Yeah, 855fps with 34 grains = a nice big hello!! The one on the railing at 7:20, I was expecting a 'Texas enema' but he lucked out. Been testing the 13 and 16 grain.177 slugs in my Prophet Preformance Compact and with the same settings that push the .22 18,13grain jsb heavy at about 285m/s the 13grain .177 slug moves at 275m/s, can't recall what speed the 16 grains got, be interesting to continue experimenting. 🙂 I think it is time to do the Lelya 2.0 to Leshiy 2 swap done soon, dreamt that I met with Francisco in my garaget somehow so I could show him what excellent condition Lelya is in. 😄. Hi Alex from a cool, damp East Yorkshire. Another enjoyable vid of shooting the winged rats, whilst I'm cooking dinner. My garden shooting is on hold for a few weeks, as my wife has had a big operation on her ankle/foot, so she cannot put her foot down for about six weeks. Unfortunately she can see my target area from our bedroom, and doesn't like the the pigeons being shot.

Thank you, friend 🙂 I'm not sure where they take them... I think it's on the far end of that complex, a place that's not easily accessible. Apparently those cats are a bit on the wild side (that's why they still won't let me get too close), and wild animals like to eat their food in private.

I have gor a Nova Vista Leviation 5.5mm , i have not put any slugs through it as yet , i use JSB 18.13 grain pellets and have put down a couple of game birds (guinea fowls) with it . Will get mesome slugs to be able to do some longer shots of them . I have a place here where i do some sky rat pest controll as well , one afternoon session in 40min i put down 74 of them rats . Keep up the good work .
74 in less than an hour, of that's not impressive, I don't know what is! Well done, bud! To answer your question - I zero at 50 meters, but, as you know, with the incline that changes a lot. Good luck with the slug tests, it could be a very cumbersome task sometimes.

Thanks, Brendan. The hammer spring plays a secondary role with the Prophet 2 - due to the new pressure assisted valve design. The hammer needs to be adjusted so much that it opens the valve. From that point you regulate the velocity only by setting the reg working pressure.

Awesome! I wonder how these will do in my 120fpe rifle. I thinking pretty much like a good hollow point 22lr (this does 125fpe). Same caliber but airgun leads usually a tiny bit more softer so better expansion. Is this same soft lead like jsb pellet?
120 fpe gun?? That's more like a FLAK cannon, bud 😅 I'm sure they'll perform great out of such a powerful rifle. IMO the alloy H&N use is harder than the one of the JSBs. Thanks, brother.

Great shooting but would like to see how much the slugs deform as if not they go right through and not release the energy, so a lighter slug might be better, any ways great shooting and that cat is well fed.
You're right, Stephen. But sometimes heavier projectiles mushroom well at a lower velocity - if you get them to be accurate at said velocity that is ;) Those slugs deform in the bird but then exit - there was an exit wound on all of them... So nothing to show, I'm afraid... To be completely honest with you, I'd rather not dissect them, with all the parasites they have and all. Perhaps I'll do it some point anyway ;)

To shoot 34g I think it is ideal to set the regulator at 175-180bar, and install an extra plenum. Great video as always!

the 34gn are a bit heavy for me, though the zan 23gn ensure a quick despatch at 60 yards keep them rats under control
Thank you, Mike, and you're right, I just wanted to see if the Prophet could handle those heavy chunks of lead. I think 23 and 25 grainers are more than enough for the job.
The upside is, with the higher grainage they're not quite as affected by the wind.

That is the sound of a small inlet valve that's installed before the main valve of the gun (where the hammer hits).

Awsome shooting the sky rats i use the 28g h&n slugs in my prophet 2 .25 cal and there damm good on the rabbits etc
I'm sure they're, buddy, I used to shoot 28 grain slugs myself with my Prophet Gen 1 in its .25 cal configuration :) Straight shooting and thanks!

Great shooting but would like to see how much the slugs deform as if not they go right through and not release the energy, so a lighter slug might be better, any ways great shooting and that cat is well fed.
You're right, Stephen. But sometimes heavier projectiles mushroom well at a lower velocity - if you get them to be accurate at said velocity that is ;)
Those slugs deform in the bird but then exit - there was an exit wound on all of them... So nothing to show, I'm afraid... To be completely honest with you, I'd rather not dissect them, with all the parasites they have and all. Perhaps I'll do it some point anyway ;)
