    CORRECTION* : the P600s does indeed support E-ATX motherboards (up to 280mm width) and so my Zenith Extreme Alpha (277mm) should fit no problem :) yay ... sorry about such a noob mistake. Apparently i can't read spec sheets.

      well no need to rip that P600s system apart yet.
      well my first choice would be CL Magnum TH10A, but due to TT and DJT CaseLab is no more
      Wendell made a Threadripper system in a Deepcool Quadstellar, but it is big and long term case
      PC-D888WX 8Pack Edition ATX Cube but it is big and long term case
      so you could do PC-O11 Dynamic
      or go Nuts and try to squeeze it into Lian-Li O7S

    I've been using this case since December 2019 and I can attest to it's ability to efficiently collect and hold the dust. I 'almost' switched to the NV7 recently but this case is still unbeaten for me. Currently in the middle of a deep clean before installing my latest build and it really does wash up as good as new, the nylon mesh has held firm after years and the only thing that broke was a tiny bit of glue from the corner of the front dust filter, and that was only due to me being too heavy handed one day. A spot of hot glue sorted it no problem.
    Your footage shows perfectly how easy it is to access the top radiator with the bracket. Maintenance is so easy with this case. I live in a dusty environment so It's high on my priority list to be able to clean the thing regularly. It easily houses a 4090 with a 360 AIO in the top. This case may be a few years old now but it STILL ticks all of my boxes.
    I really like this case, as if you couldn't already guess!👍

    My apartment is pretty tidy but when I clean my PC (4 times a year) I find huge quantities of dust in the filters and a layer of finer particles on the components inside. There's no such thing as a perfect dust-proof PC case.

    I try to clean mine out every couple of weeks or so, but I've found that with the custom loop in place, I don't have to run the fans as high and this has meant far less dust than when I was using an AIO to cool my CPU. It just doesn't build up as much as it used to, even with animal fur flying around this room frequently. Nice video as always.

    Lot of people are saying Meshify S2 but I'll say the regular S2. It's got that sleek looking front which would fit your overall minimalistic space. Dust filtration on my S2 is great, and so is the noise profile. I run with left and right side TG panels and still can keep my overclocked 8700k and 1080ti near silent at full load.

    Fractal design Meshify C, Lian li O11 dynamic, Be quiet! Dark base pro rev2 all have really good airflow and mesh systems. Any one of those would be worth a shot. Stay away from the ovens otherwise known as cooler master cases (some of the recent versions at least).
    Maybe also try and mess around with your push/pull config. Some cases are a bit cooler with rad as an intake. Worth a shot

  • @file1man
    @file1man 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I always bring filtered, cooler room air in the top, cooler filtered room air in the front, 1 rear fan exhausting air. Positive pressure, more in than out. Lets less dust thru open spaces, less radiator clog. Yes, hot air rises, but much is expelled before it reaches the top. And the rad always is cooled by cooler room air vs the hot air in the case.

    • @noahnoscope1823
      @noahnoscope1823 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The natural rising of hot air is no where near powerful enough to create much difference in airflow with basically any fans, unless your stuff runs at temperatures hot enough to melt the plastic of your fans.

  • @SaltedSlug85

    Clean your filter more often. Then you won't have to clean inside the case that often. When the filter is clogged up, you get vacuum, sucking in air through anything with an opening.

    Have it about the same time as you and yeah, the dust behind the front mesh was rather significant. Nothing a short clean up won´t fix and here we go again. Love this case anyway.

  • @JasonMohammed
    @JasonMohammed 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi everyone. If you are cleaning your radiator, please absolutely do not use a vac near your rad. The rads fins are extremely fragile and even a finger press can bend them. Can of compressed air is less than ok , but it will only get off the surface layer of dust. If you have more dust than shown, then some dust may be trapping moisture, which will be stuck on your rad. So if you can find an air blower, like compressed air used for air spray paint, or an air blower metro vac then this is more ideal. .

    I’m an avid fan of water-cooling. I have a lian li O11 dynamic with top and bottom 360 rads, and 3 side intake fans. This setup is nice as it allows me to keep the 9 EK Vardar fans at a low 600rpm with the system in idle. Not only does this reduce the amount of dust collection but the system runs nearly silent.

    I have a Corsair Air540.. and its nowhere near as sealed as that case.. but I see the same amount of dust. I've really gotta keep onto of my front filter. Plus I live near a SteelWorks in and older house (windows open in summer no ac, all the doors/windows.. floor boards even, let in air and prob dust too)
    Originally I used to run 2x140 intake, and 1x140 exhaust, plus 2x120 on the rad/top exhaust, and it was super dusty inside the case.. it was obviously drawing in air (and dust) from everywhere it could, the pcie/rear grills where the big culprits.
    I noticed a significant difference once I swapped to 3x120 intake, 1x120 exhaust, plus the 2x120 rad/top exhaust.
    AND I'll say, changing the rad to a pull config, much better... the dust is spread evenly and less caked up. Plus the fans don't get as caked either. Making the cleaning process MUCH easier.

It's an air540 with phanteks ph-tc14pe and 3 fans front with gu cooled with g12 and mand just cleaning it was a huge difference. I used a prtable vaccum cleaner that can also blow out air and is super effective and it worked. Temps on cpu droped about 5-10C. I'm going to try fitting in a msi x570 creation board in next week, 280mm across exactly, but then there's a bunch of 90-degree pin configs to deal with. I called Phanteks awesome tech support to see what they thought and got a hopeful maybe? Looking at the mounting plate though seems like I could do some light cutting on that 45 degree angle and make a custom fit for the cable management... looking into options.

    The best tool to clean a PC is an air compressor. Obviously not everybody has one, and I wouldn't recommend buying one if you only need it to clean your PC once in a while. If you already have one you can use it no problem, just dial back the pressure a bit and don't get too close to the motherboard, otherwise you might rip off some of the components.

    Dust accumulation depends on how you keep your environment! No way about it. My pc doesn't get that dirty in 4 months... it would take maybe 2 years to get there. So I guess... it boils down to the environment keeping. It's a consequence, not a cause.

    im surprised you used the NF-A12x25 as case fan instead of replacing those corsair fans.

    With that amount of dust in your radiator does that mean that you are running negative airflow? That is, 2 intakes and 3 exhausts resulting in your case sucking in additional air through openings that aren't filtered and pushing it through the exhaust fan and radiator fans. I run an air cooler with two intakes and 1 exhaust (positive airflow) and CPU cooler stays very clean (which was my goal since I don't like cleaning the fins on that thing)

    barely seeing this but just a hint for cleaning the glass. Use crumpled up newpaper for any glass and you'll get the best streak/lint free clean you've ever seen. I use newspaper for mirrors and windows in my house as well as all glass on my car! lol cloth like you use may be ok streak wise but tend to leave lint :(

    the lian li pc 0-11 DXL. the xtra large version. thats what you should put the threadripper system in. i feel like the clean glass aesthetic would fit your space nicely as well. just get a white one

    I have this P600s case too ,but only since 2month . I was worried about the mesh fabric , but its completely clean . Inside only a little dust ,but i have 3x140 intake and only 2x140 lower rpm exhaust , so positie pressure , while you have 2x12 in 3x12 out.

    Put the Threadripper system in a Fractal case, maybe the Meshify S2 or the Define S2

  • @frankglasgow

    Do not use a vacuum, you can have a static discharge. Use compressed air. And hold the fans as they can be a generator and make more voltage than what your mobo can handle.
