The thing that I love about your channel the most is that when you review cases, you don't just look it over, talk about the features, give pro's and cons and be done with it. You actually do a build inside it as well. Every other channel I've seen that does a review on cases doesn't do this but it's so important. I don't think you can ever give an accurate review of a case without knowing what it's like to do a build in it so, thanks and keep up the awesome content.
Fractal Design, Lian Li, and Phanteks are my go-to choices for cases. Their designs run the gamut from mini-ITX, all the way up to full-tower. NZXT gets an 'honorable mention' here as well, but those are my top three.
Same. Also since you mentioned NZXT, I wish so much that they would go back to their roots and come out with a cool new style of case that's not just a plain black or white rectangle. They used to have such cool case designs back in the day! The Phantom series was my favorite.
Note that the top panel of the P500A wasn't riveted either. It had the same slews of screws to undo, in order to remove it. This comes in handy, as it allows one to install a hefty 420mm radiator in the front! Was able to install a massive Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm AIO in push / pull, which did a great job cooling an Intel Core i9-12900k. Glad they figured out that it is fully supported in the front with this model, hopefully making it a tad easier to install.
@milioval5217 i built that 1.5 years ago, and didn't take alot of pictures of the radiator installed. Looking at my build notes, i removed about a dozen screws from the top panel, then pulled it off. The front panel pulls right off. I also had to remove the front IO panel bracket, which was 3 or 4 screws. This frees up the cables, giving you room to fit the radiator. I was doing push / pull, so if you want the phanteks argb on front of case, you will need to move pre-installed arctic fans to other side of radiator in pull configuration, and re-route the cables. Do this outside of case, prior to install. Then take three phanteks 140mm fans from case, and mount them to front of radiator using the case radiator / fan mount bars. So order is fan bracket, then fan (in push configuration), then radiator. This will need to be done in the case, as the fan mount bar needs to be installed. Kind of complicated, so be patient! Also be careful with fan cables, so as not to nick them with a screw install! The top io cable assy will just fit, so you might need to push down on some cables. You can optionally install two 140mm fans in top exhaust. Then re-install top panel and all of its screws.
@@kptnix I ended up switching to an all white dual chamber build, but I've made sure a couple friends got this case too. We were all very happy with it. It was the most convenient case I've ever built in.
Fits even some of the biggest 4090's with ease. Not gonna lie as ridiculous as it is the GPU's are that big now...this is a selling point for me. Ordered one for exactly this reason.
Thank you for the review. I wanted a case with lots of airflow, plus support for many hard drives. I had been all set on the Meshify 2, but then I heard about the G500A. There's lots of info on the P500A but not much on the G500A yet. I decided to give the G500A a try.
A big reason for me picking this case IS the power supply Cutout. I have the ASUS Rog Thor Platinum II and for the price I paid for it I WANT to see the screen and RGB of that power supply. To each their own. A branded Phantek cover plate for the cutout so that those that don't care/need would be best for both types of consumers. Case is great!
Great case, only minus is lack of access to PSU, and hinged sidepanels that needs to swing 30° in order to remove so you need space on either side, or move the whole case to open.
I have the P500A myself and absolutely love it. While this new case does allow the 140mm fans up front to sit in front of the frame rather than behind and the additional case rgb up front, I would have concerns over the back panel being magnetic as I have a lot of cable in the back very possibly pushing it open all the time. (5 SATA SSD, and 2 rgb fan ecosystems plus AIO.)
I like the "showing what parts they are as text while to build is happening". Nice addition. I don't hate the PSU cutouts, but if someone really wanted to showoff there PSU for whatever reason, they could cut an opening for that PSU themselves.
If you look at the 360 aio he's installed, this is still going to be very hard to accommodate anything more than a 360 + 240 radiator custom setup. Although i am glad they made the front panel a bit deeper so we can actually put fans right behind the front panel without modifying it now. This still isn't something that's going to be too good at custom water cooling which is kind of a bummer, because I love their cases.
nice case. I guess it is easier to cover the panel cutout than it is for a person to cut it out . maybe install a small screen there with temps ect. for those that dont like it..
Looks like a great case for my next build. Hopefully some pricing drops on products but it otherwise looks pretty good. How reliable are Phanteks AIO's? My Corsair H110GTX is nearly 8 years with no issues.
great stuff as always Nick 🙂 love that a 360 fits in the top no problem, and that the fans are PWM. Actually I think if there were 2 audio ports at the front rather than that combo one, this would be just about perfect. And totally with you on the PSU - don't need to see that at all
I have to say this looks like probably one of the best cases to build in. Really thought out I like the back and the doors to hide cables and having the bottom totally open for cable. The top to come off. I really like the magnetic doors the hinges. How was it to build in? Meaning how easy?
100% w you on the PSU cutout. Not a fan. Not a fan of the sliding cable covers, either. Kinda wish they'd do the side exit like the G360a has instead. The rest of it looks really good tho. Tempting. Looking like this or the H9 Flow for my next build.
What adapter/connector did you use here to plug these fans into the motherboard? I’m planning on buying this case but I’d like to be able to control it with mobo instead of the case button.
What about noise, no noise dampening, pretty thin metal looking and very open in the front, not something to have next to your monitor while gaming I suppose?
Hello! Good video. I have a big question, If i will open side panel how much musst be open it before i can remove it? Because I have not so much space to open that glas side panel ^^. It is 2cm or 3 enough? 😅
I'm in. I love Phanteks cases. The P500A was a great case and this looks to improve a lot on that one. I just wish it could fit a 420 radiator up top. Beggars and choosers.
Your themes are always on point, especially with the balance of lights! that said I was torn between this and the Lian Li 216 but the 216 will go more of what I want also Phanteks still going with those plate slide panels didn't help win them over lol
Hi phanteks p500a synchronization with the motherboard does not work argb gigabate z690 aorus master When trying to synchronize, the colors either blink or not all light up… On the Internet they write that there is a frequent problem with this model of case. Are there solutions to the problem?
So, the cable management is waaaaay better than it has been in the P500A ... except it is identical to that case in that regard, aside from the cover panels being added :D Granted, you admit you do not really remember the P500A after you made that claim, but should you really put it out there in the first place than? The least that could be expected is two minutes of research. Pretty easy to catch up on the differences, they ain't that large. Questions regarding to those actual differences remain unanswered, too: The back panel is on hinges now and seems to be made of some pretty thin metal this time around. Can you confirm this? For the P500A it was rather thick. Also, a very relevant difference are the fans. The fans in P500A and a bunch of older Phanteks cases were downright rubbish. These M25 ones are supposed to be an improvement. Again: Can you confirm?
Good to see Phanteks come out with another “Phanteks-tic” product 🤣😂😅💪✊🤦🤦♀! They do have some really aesthetically pleasing designs and definitely have the quality to back it up 💪👍🥰. Thanks Nick & Klaire for this review my fellow Aussies 🇦🇺 🍻
Hello Sir, quick question. Do you have to open the side panels to 90° or more to ba able to unhinge? So basicly i need to know if i can take the door off at lets say 30°?
@@GearSeekers Thank you for getting back to me! You are not sure so it seems. In the video the door is opened to 90° or even more but its not clear if its absolutely necessary. Thing is, my case is on a stand but with an obstruction next to it. So that would mean i have to debranch everything if i need to change the smallest thing inside. So not sure to buy the case ...

THANK GOD they fixed the front fan install method, no more Howling intake fans from obstructed blades.
Your review sold me on this case. I've never bought Phanteks before and I'm loving the temps/amenities. Thanks man!
Are you happy with the case? Considering pulling the trigger on it here :D

*Solid Review & Solid Presentation*
*I just brought this case today, over 3 hours drive to buy this case then a another over 3 hour drive back*
Thanks for covering this !
PSU cut-out is beautiful
As an American, I chuckle at every "Bob's your uncle" haha
From the first time I watch your videos I was hook on the phanteks cases nice work fam keep up the good job sry you couldn't add daisy chain fans.
how do u make a video like this without showing the noise of the pc?
we want to know how silent the pc/case is
The noise is not a valid metric and subjective
i love the power supply cut out /shrug
Lian li, Phanteks and NZXT are my favorites brands for Pc cases.
Ha ha.....could have swore these was a scene from The Shining in that video 🤣
White on White. Really love your case reviews 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Something really Australian…. Like “good onya mate” 😅
I'm halfway threw with the Hyte y60 build for my sons Christmas present now his mother wants one and this just case just might be it
Great video as per usual. Digging the new format where the parts are listed as the build is done. Subtle yet brilliant. Keep up the good work.
currently using the p400a, ngl very happy with it
Thanks for the video! I think I'm gonna get this case for my 4090 build!
Kinda dig the PSU cutout. It could show my trusty Rosewill 450w. 😅
I hope they give us an updated Evolv X with a bit more space inside. Great vid as always!!
100% agree on the psu shroud cut out. Can’t stand it!
The case might be a refresh to accommodate the 40 series cards since they're lengthy. Though this is what the p500a should've been like from the start
The G500A Performance might well make it to the best case of the year title.
Nice job mate! Always love the white builds. They show RGB lighting so well. Keep up the great content ❤
Currently looking at cases for my family's computers so seeing this is awesome. Thanks for the video!
Great video. Just got this case. Love your RGB power cables, where can I get them? Do you have a link?
Why now 420mm Radiator support on top though? It can fit 3 fans , aren't the radiator screws on the same positions?
Please build it every day... I am addicted LOL

2x360s will fit easily
@@GearSeekers ahh ok, actually watching the montage again and you're right. I still wish this had a bit more rad room inside though.
Been waiting on this one. Thank you
Great case, EXCEPT....it's only flaw is it doesn't allow the mounting of two fans at the bottom that can blow up at the GPU
Phanteks Ftw.
nice case. I guess it is easier to cover the panel cutout than it is for a person to cut it out . maybe install a small screen there with temps ect. for those that dont like it..

Where do you get that cool neon case wiring?!
I love your videos and builds and I always wanted to know what sort of RGB software you use? Open RGB or similar? Thank you!
"You can then put it in another hole which is right next to it..." That's good to know.

Are there some dust filters on front and top? i can see only mesh without dust filter, Fractal has nice dust filters for example.
Nope(
I am not a fan of having a power supply window either, it never fails and you end up with upside down badging lol
load in the rear
hi love your videos e song mixes, i would like to ask the argb cable extensions are from what brand ? best regards
What about noise, no noise dampening, pretty thin metal looking and very open in the front, not something to have next to your monitor while gaming I suppose?
A case with good airflow allows cooler temps and therefore less fan noise. It actually ends up being quieter in most cases.

Another amazing build
What about a third radiator? Can it fit?
wow 9:53 I see you.
Bnager of a video and another banger case from Phanteks. Keep up the hard work fams
I got a question, you used a 1000w psu, what’s an 850 also good for this build ?
Where do you get those RGB cables?
Do those glowy power cables going into the video card come with the PSU, or are they purchased separately?
those are lian li strimer cables. sold separately but attach to your psu
Please do a custom loop build...it's been enough time!

Fully agree on the PSU cutout, they make any case look cheap. Without it, this would be close to a perfect case imo.
