How to impress Greg with a Case: 1: Airflow 2: White 3: Nylon (Kink?) 4: Rubber (Kink ×2?) 5: Room for "activities" in the back 6: Provide lots of tiedowns (TripleKink) 7: Look like a stormtrooper
I just got one of these in the white. Absolutely gorgeous, easy to build in and best airflow I've seen, even when the panels are closed. I 100% recommend this case.
@@alexandrubalaban5266 Fractal compromises on innovation instead, though. At least as of late, they have not done ANYTHING new (Iook at the Vector RS).
That is a sexy case. I think I might need to pick me one up. I love my S340 Elite but airflow is not the greatest and now that I am getting into custom loop cooling I need more room and more options for mounting hardware.
Was able to fit an E-Atx board in the P600S but it required cutting off the metal struts on the right side. There are three of them and the fact they are ramped do not allow an eatx board to sit down level. After cutting notice only slight flex on the tray but not bad at all and still functional. Easy mod.
I have my PC mounted on a Black Eclipse P600s (without tempered glass), since I was looking for a case with good airflow and, at the same time, that offered good acoustic insulation (it's on a stand by the table on the floor, so I don't care if I see the inside)... And I couldn't be happier. I only have one drawback, the fans it comes with are infernally loud, as most fans are, except the Be Quiet!, which are a perfect complement and the PC does not rise above 15 dB at full power.
Love the channel and seriously man could the hairbut be any more spot on? Slick af I really liked the P400S, but the airflow was so bad that I constantly had to take the front cover off and was forced to buy a magnetic mesh to place over the front during the summers. I love Phanteks ( one of my favorite companies) has reworked this case with airflow in mind. I definitely plan on buying one soon.
I think what this case doesn't get enough praise on is that its one of the cheapest, if not the cheapest, cases for a dual pc in one case setup. Sure, temps are gonna be very questionable, but still... the fact that Phanteks is allowing you to do this, even if you add in the costs for the add-ons, its nice.
I just built in a Lian Li PC-011 dynamic, so I'm not looking to buy a case anytime soon, but I love your build style and reviews... So here I am, watching a case review 😀
I picked this case for my build - and I LOVE it. The doors do come off if you need them to. The ONLY downside that I could note - was that with a standard PSU - it is hard to slot in another cable, without extracting the entire PSU first... UNLESS you get a PSU where the cables plug into the side.
Just in case you run into one of these in your current cleaning series. Yes, the panels do come off, but like a cooler on an AMD chip it is best to give them a wee bit of "wiggling" or light upward taps first.
Had this case since it first shipped (white and black like the one in this review), and overall I like it. The space in the basement can be an issue, depending on your configuration. If you only use 2.5" SSD's or M.2 drives no problem. On the other hand four 3.5" drives will not work in the basement with medium to large PSUs, like the 750W EVGA Supernova G+. Okay, it did but I had to use a massive amount of force to get the PSU in the case, and the modular cables were so compressed between the PSU and the drive caddies that I was sure they would brake if left in that configuration. Likely wouldn't be an issue with a smaller G2 or G3 EVGA PSU (cannot speak for other brands, haven't used them).
Definitely switching my pc over to this case. My Fractal meshify c is good I just need more room because its not big enough to vertically mount a triple fan card with the cable mod kit.
GPU temps literally went unchanged between the front panel being ON and OFF. I highly doubt stuffing a tiny, loud fan at the rear will improve GPU temps by anything substantial - at which point, if you're actually serious about cooling and OCing your GPU, you should probably just hop into the liquid cooling boat.
@@GregSalazar it was less a critique of this case specifically and more one for case manufacturers in general. I'm not sure why this reply seems quite confrontational. With open shroud cards being the standard these days would you really suggest direct extraction could not noticeably affect temps considering the effect of seemingly small changes like a single extra slot of difference from a TG panel? And that's before considering changes in case airflow dynamics, for example if more of the front airflow where drawn to the gpu by the exhaust fan making a lower pressure by the gpu as opposed to the major updraw created by 2 and 3 fan CPU AIO's - the differences between that and the Meshify s2 are negligible from a 1st glance and the GPU temp advantages Gamers Nexus saw for this over the the S2 With GPU boost any viewer of your content knows that a few degrees can make the difference between reaching a better clock frequency. As for the point on the fan being loud, a counterpoint to that would be that there is currently no reason for the premium fan manufacturers to create a quieter small fan and that skews perception on if the idea is viable, simply the differences from Noctua and Be quiet versus cheap case fans illustrate the differences that can exist with effort.
Ok this is my favorite case right now. Now if they make mini version of this with more tinted glass side panel, I will surely use it for my next build.
Also a happy owner of that case. There isn't much that needs changing. Maybe an updated mechanism for attaching the glass panel as it can drop when you release that 4th screw. If they could release a new front that removes the DVD drive and adds space for a third 140mm fan along with a full mesh front, that'd be just about perfect. I have 2 Halos in the front of mine and would love to add another one.
I love my phanteks cases. Have a few of them now, the shift and the enthoo evolv from a few years ago. I ordered the rosewill cullinan from Amazon, but being that Amazon delivery went to crap, I ordered this case from Newegg instead. Looking forward to another phanteks in the mix.
good review and choice of comparison. but can you show us the noise rating (with same[not stock] fans. :) can you fill in the details in the description please?
Every guest I have is asking me about this case, I don’t have rgb, all the fans are noctua chromax, only the rear fan is a red led corsair ml 140 and the case is the black version with tg.
Great looking case. But I'm pretty sure they didn't use white nylon as it would completely change colour after collecting dust lol Do you think this is better than the Evolv X?
I have this case and it is really nice. However, the sound my pc makes is like the black, interrogator robot with needles from Star Wars IV, where Vader was trying to get information out of Leia. "Woowoowoowooowowowowo" The person who put my computer together made it so my fan hub is not connected and controlled on my motherboard. However, I can't figure out how to make it work because I feel like I'm missing some fan pin cables. I need to find a how-to video because I know this case is great if properly installed.
A Nylon Mesh Front Panel? Was that made by Bethesda? Just kidding. Jokes aside that is a very nice looking case with lots of room for components and good considerations towards cooling. I always look for mesh front panels but not too many cases have that. I had to take off my cooler master acrylic front panel because the system overheated and shut down even though it had 3 fans and was running at stock settings. Not sure what's going on there. Probably need better fans but I can't afford that right now. This is a very cool case and I'd love to see more case reviews!
Tossing up between this and the CM H500M... love the look of this. Big deciding factor though, can it fit 2x 360 rads? Top and front? Thats my biggest issue right now, getting a good airflow case that can support both and look good. How does it compare airflow wise to the h500m?
PC Part Picker was bitchin at me about my graphics card covering hard drive slots. If I just have the motherboard SSDs does that even matter? I mean I could always just install the other disks first before the card right?
So, do the colors of the case make a difference in how far the front panel opens? Mine opens about half as much as yours and is now bent at the bottom. Did yours do this?

Nylon can be mostly transparent. Here is hoping a transparent front is coming

Hope you're taking care of it..
I think white nylon would get discolored by dust bunnies. Better black so the mesh stays fresh looking

Im glad they fixed the airflow issue that the p400s struggled with and honestly 3x140mm fans is a really nice bonus
I love the extra height and width. This is so AIO/custom loop friendly plus 3 x 140's. This is what the next Fractal Arc Midi should try to match.
