Some added info to go with the video. Generally speaking a house up to 3000sq ft I can shoot one of these with the Realtor in 1.5hrs, normally less. Confidence on camera is key for this and I only work with limited clients (TH-cam is my main job) Edit time is approximately 3-4hrs and normally I have alot more titles, motion graphics with tracking etc in the video. Pricing starts at $750+ USD for a video like this and its delivered within 48 hrs. That price is fully dependant on your market.

In my opinion you're charging too low
just starting out and had my first real estate shoot 3 days ago... it didn't go so smoothly: shot full auto WB and auto ISO :( editing was a headache. wish I would have watched this before, great video! do you also include photo in your package?
Is this a standard picture profile of LOG?
She's a natural in front of the camera! That's a big plus for an agent.

I am trying to figure out what I want to do. I started out filming live bands in bars in NYC, with a Canon Handycam. I am about to upgrade my gear and open up my service for other projects like filming real estate, weddings, or other things, as I said I'm still figuring out what I want to do and have to try it out first. Excellent video, I recently bought the Fulaim X5 wireless kit. Absolutely great for these realtor walk through videos. Just set the levels, hand it to the realtor to either clip it or use the magnet. No need to ever assist them running the risk of "getting handsy". Btw, this was HGTV quality and actually better in a lot of cases. I've seen some not so well shot episodes. You and your wife should have your own show, you 2 are that good! Finally, I shoot in 4K 30fps slowing it down to 24fps and its buttery smooth.
This is quite inspiring, I've learnt a lot from this video. Thank you so much for sharing. Please keep teaching us, I'm going to try this method.

Appreciate you watching. Yeh I often run with it as one take, in the edit it’s easy to just skim through and see where I’m at in the house. Just my method of doing it. Gimbal setup is pretty simple, just RS3 with Dual Grip handles

@@chrisbrockhurst Now my questions, Love the look you have with you log. Are you always at +2,0? what range of iso are you staying in. Cus I see you are staying ay F4 and one shot your iso was at like 1300 or so. Also, what are your auto focus settings with the V. Focus was killer all video

I just started looking into doing property tours and photography just got all my gear including the dji camera stabiliser which happens to be the same one ur using 😅. This video was very help ful for a beginner like me could you do a vid showing how to use the stabiliser

Thanks for taking your time to put this together. A good addition to the craft. I am curious about your comment on shutter speed and the occasional low light situation you sometimes hit in some homes. How do you compensate in situations like that?

Chris, great video (as always). Quick question: At 18:14 you talk about shooting for interiors and fixing the "little over exposed" windows in post in "SL3"? (Least that's what it sounds like you say). Can you explain that a little deeper? I shoot with a Sony A7iii and my biggest failure is having windows "blown out" when the interior is exposed properly. Love to learn some tips! Thanks.

I could suggest to shoot a host separately, different lenses periodically. Not the wide lense only.
I have learned so much from this about working with a gimbal. Thank you! I didn't think I can simulate slider movements with a gimbal and I probably can't yet at this point. Your footwork blew me away! How much of a difference does the double grip make on the gimbal?
ahhh this is amazing to hear, thankyou for sharing. The Dual grip makes me feel like i can grip the Gimbel in a way that just feels smoother to hold. A wider grip helps more than you realise. You dont necessarily need this exact one but something similar will help you!

Always the slowest and smoothest possible i can. Deadband should be set so you have to move it a fair amount before it reacts

Amazing video! A question for you on how you would edit this for social media clips. Would it be best to shoot videos in open gate (anamorphic) 4:3 to get a bit more height than the 16:9? Or what's your opinion on getting clips out of this video you shot here for 9:16 reels?

I do have a question as I watched through your video, if I try to avoid memorizing scripts as I move around the house showing the tour, is it a valid or feasible solution to somehow mount the telepromopter onto gimbal? Are there any challenge to do so? and do you have combination and gimbal and teleprompter to recommend that work really good together? Thanks heaps Chris!
Love the video bro, so just making sure I understand it... The B Roll and A Roll with your wife talking, was both shot in 60 fps? And you adjusted the SS depended on lighting??
This is amazing! What gimbal settings are you using? Are you always shooting the widest focal length on your lens?
Always slow and smooth with the deadband set so you have to move it a decent amount before it picks up movement (you can set this on the gimbal or in the ronin app)

24mm will be a bit tight for smaller spaces. 16mm is best!

Great question. In some editors they have a option for that, there’s also some plugins that’ll work. Matt whoismatt Johnson also has a great video on how to do it by adjusting frames

I’m looking at starting to create real estate walkthroughs and this video is incredibly helpful. I was intending to get the Nikon 14-13mm f4 lens. You say that you shoot with f1.8 at 14mm. Do you think f4 would be ok or do I really need the wider aperture?

I am in the Genesis of real estate photography 📸 and because of that I desire to offer my clientele packages that may include stills, and aerial shots in additional to interior video; how do you schedule your day in a way that you're not overwhelmed with appointments? 😊
For example: since no 2 days are exactly alike, how do you limit your workload without overdoing it?

For the most part it looks like he's simply using pan follow mode - and apart from the the importance is to have it properly balanced. You can adjust the follow speed and 'dead pan' settings to taste to get things looking smooth :)
