Just bought two of these for 210 each before tax. Setup is so quickly, im super happy with how the monitor stand snaps in with a satisfying "click" and the base feels good. Checked for dead pixels or screen bleed and both looked problem free. Can't wait to complete my game setup!
Best monitor I've bought so far. The stand and base isnt extremely fat taking up desk space. Screen is nice. Overall build quality is nice. Doesn't feel cheap.

I was hella worried that my monitor was already messing up but I guess it was just a slight issue that hasn’t occurred again so far. Other than that, no problems at all. Runs smooth with my PS5 and Series S

Little late but I got this monitor recently. Also have the Dell S2721DGF and they are incredibly similar. I mainly play shooters and prefer the S2522HG as it's just easier for me to track enemies on the smaller screen. Really an incredible monitor for it's price. Got mine for $209 off of Amazon.

Can someone recommend the best settings on this for gaming to achieve bright and most vivid colors? I just got this monitor and the colors don't seem to pop as much as my 7 year old Asus vg248QE which makes no sense.

why do people keep referring to it as a budget monitor lol. 329 dollars is expensive for a 1080p monitor. it has a legit LG IPS panel, 240hz (surpassing 60 on an IPS panel was unheard of not too long ago), nice stands, beautiful performance. budget compared to many 27 inch 1440p monitors sure, and ofc compared to literal 4k 30+ inch TVs. but these monitors are generally desired by competitive gamers. 300+ dollars is high end in this case
I know I’m late. But to answer your question. yes you can. You press the knob on the back, then go down to “personalize”. Then you’ll see “downlight” and you turn it off.
Thing is, and I don't know why. All Dell IPS panels have the heaviest backlight bleed somewhere or other. You can't get one without it being heavy on it somewhere and other IPS monitors generally have this at a tolerable level but Dell/Alienware models are horrendous for this and considering they offer their "premium panel guarantee" I feel like It's really bad.
IPS monitors don't get backlight bleed nearly as much as people make them out to. if that happens its a factory defect due to pressure on the monitor and should be returned. most of the time theyre mistaking ips glow for 'bleed'. you're thinking of IPS burn or glow which is a normal non-issue that resolves itself (tho i will say that with two of these monitors often running for 12+ hours at a time ive only had ips burn once on one of them and it was gone by morning)
it depends on the quality of the screen used in the monitor. i had a 800 dollar cer predador monitor and it was hideous with hazy corners and bad backlight bleed and it broke within year of use. today i am using a cheap $150 24 inch 144hz gaming monitor and has none of those issues. i also have a dell 4k office monitor and has perfect backlight as there is 0 bleed or haziness.

Im Very Very senzitive to input delay and ghosting and response time, and the GSync on this monitor make a huge pleasent smoothnesh, i m afraid to change the msi monitor i wish i get 1440p or higher but IT won t be the same as smooth
It is a standard LED monitor unless you buy an OLED Monitor then there will be a differences. Other than that the blackness will light up but it won't be noticeable.

Because i am looking for a dual monitor setup and want 2x of the same monitors.. this happily fits in the budget more than the Dell 27" 1440p WQHD 165Hz 1ms GTG IPS LED FreeSync Gaming Monitor (S2721DGF) that i am looking at.. even tho all the videos i seen on that monitor is great and especially for gaming/productivity. super consistent and awesome colors.. which is currently 300$ off and 500$ at bestbuy for me.. I think ill go an order 2x of these monitors after this video and from Bijan Jamshidi video on it.. hes a fps god lol
@@salomon34e Not true. HDMI 2.0 can run 1080p 240hz If the option doesn't show up its either the cable or your motherboards HDMI port that aren't compatible.. All those things need to be at least HDMI 2.0.

Dell seems way better in terms of quality compared to other brands. Just look at the box and packaging alone. For now on I'm going with Dell monitors.
