Nice work, Channel Awesome crew! I actually liked the next two Spider-Man movies. I feel like the second one "flopped" because people wanted it to fail so Spidey could join the MCU.
Easily the best part of the entire trilogy. And the reason why Sandman should've been the sole villain. If he was and the next movie was good we probably never would've gotten Garfield's mess.
And the flack it does get from the scientist acting rash and without caution can actually be explained away as well. It's quick to miss but the first white-coat says that "There's a change in the silicium mass.", meaning that they only measured the mass and supposidly density of the sand already present. If course they should still have installed cameras but the part they did do they got right.
@@voidjockey82 Yeah it's weird that he discounted human error. Humans fuck up all the damn time. Though the movie could've added in they were pressed for time or about to lose their funding if the experiment went wrong. It'd have been more understandable why they'd buck the rules a bit if they needed results fast.
This might be controversial but I honestly think Peter hitting Mary Jane was pure accident. Just think about. Peter was already in a fight with at least one bouncer and Mary Jane grabbed him from behind. So odds are Peter probably thought it was another bouncer grabbing him right then instead of Mary Jane. Also this doesn't take away from the impact of the scene either since if Peter hadn't given into his darker urges and worn the black suit then he wouldn't have acted like such an asshole so wouldn't have gotten into a bar fight and therefore Mary Jane would've never been hurt.
@@batshineman174 also due to the symbiote enhancing his powers but not trusting anyone due to not knowing anything about Earth, Peter's Spider Sense probably would've gone off (It pretty much is confirmed through all media that Peter's Spider Sense activates when something or someone he doesn't trust is near, it just doesnt work the way it's supposed to 100% of the time.)
Except the film got 50-60% critical and public scores: the definition of mixted. The joke is funny, but wrong in essence. The internet makes fun of the film, but the scenes that are good are often said to be so. This is not the first time Ive seen the sandman scene being praised.
The guy we barely saw across multiple movies was going to be a well-known Spider-Man villain? Sounds like it would have been awesome. Guess there was a Spider-Man Cinematic Universe (SCU) before the MCU.
Specifically Avi Arad, Producer of the film and one of Marvel's owners at the time. So because Venom was so popular in the comics Arad pressured Rami-who is clearly a Steve Ditko era SpiderFan-freaking Sandman looks like he jumped off of a comics page-into using him. If this movie had just been about Pete versus Sandman and New Goblin it would have been a hell of a lot better. Also N.C. really called it on how really invested the audience was in the Pete and MJ relationship. The audience I saw it with reacted the same way that his did. Uncle Ben gets shot to stone silence, MJ kisses Harry the entire audience gasps in shock...
It should've been 2 movies. More time for relationship stuff, more time for harry - peter rivalry, first movie with sandman & harry as villains. Then symbiote & eddie is introduced by the end. In the second movie peter gets infected by symbiote, his transformation, his realization, eddie gets symbiote, venom, their fight. And also more time to make eddie brock the anti hero & show his side. And no Gwen Stacy. If this had worked, we'd have got a vulture movie. And more memes.
If he was forced to include Venom, he could've at least done extra research to ensure he got him right. Even if he hated the character, he should've put the extra effort to make him as best as can be. I mean, for God's sake, he doesn't even make Venom/Brock say "We," instead of "I."
@@salarzx62090 I mean it's very easy to tell someone to put some extra effort being relaxed at home, than being in his position under pressure from dozens of producers and putting millions and millions of dollars at stake.
I hate Sam Raimi’s Spider Man films, but I would of liked to see #4. But we probably would have gotten a Mysterio, but we already got a perfect Mysterio with Jake Gyllenhaal.
I love how you tackled the whole Internet Debate. Just because a movie is divisive doesn't mean you can't enjoy it. It should be okay to enjoy the good parts and not be burned for it.
@@ChannelAwesome Tbh, 3 was actually my FAVORITE... I didn't know anything about Venom or Sandman, cuz I had never read a Spiderman comic or seen the cartoons. I therefore didn't give a shit about "what they did to their characters". All 3 movies were corny as hell, but 2 was both corny and depressing. It didn't help also being a struggling college student at the time trying to juggle responsibilities. I watched the movie as an escape from those problems, only to have them thrown in my face. 3 was entertaining (the fight between Harry and Peter at the beginning is still my fav, and I found Emo Peter hilarious). I genuinely had a good time watching it.
Someone made a hilarious theory that the Butler told Harry how his dad died so he could die in battle helping Peter and he would get the family's fortune
Things I genuinely like about Spider-Man 3: -The black symbiote suit was a killer. -Thomas Haden Church's performance. -The special effects were so good for its time especially the scene where Flint Marko turns into Sandman for the first time. That shit was beautiful. -Venom when separated from Eddie Brock looked like a terrifying creature straight out of a Tim Burton/Henry Selick animation. -The dance, yes, THAT. FUCKING. DANCE. -The part with J. Jonah Jameson and his pills is absolutely hilarious. -Stan Lee´s cameo. -The theme about forgiveness. Peter Parker learns to forgive his uncle's killer, Harry learns to forgive Spider-Man and Mary Jane forgives Peter. -When Peter and Harry team up to save MJ is one of the most satisfying scenes of the entire trilogy. -The song "Signal Fire" by Snow Patrol in the end credits after the final scene where MJ and Peter reconcile is so powerful and the best end credits song of the Raimi films. It makes me teary-eyed everytime I hear it knowing there won´t be more Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movies and the trilogy ended in such a bittersweet tone.
AH well, I was more annoyed at Venom's characterisation and small size. I also think ASME2 had some of best, but also some of cheesiest and worst, scenes, in the franchise.
Well since he is playing himself AND a character, I think the point is to make his characters look as different as possible from his normal look. It's all about distinction. Also I'd add, he looks a lot like J. Jonah from the comics.
Does symbiote Peter really suck ? Or does he act like what a ''nerd'' with to much power, would act? Going from the bottom to the topp, can change a person
Really? He would act like an emo Travolta from Staying Alive (not Saturday Night Fever Travolta, Staying Alive Travolta) Since when does confidence turn you into 1980s dork?
@@LegioXXI If you're talking about the Venom movie, I don't agree that this is better, but acknowledge that it sucks. Upgrade is a far better Venom movie.

Fun fact: Sony imposed that scene to be made and added because they thought audiences were too dumb to realise Harry changed his mind on his own (the original, deleted version has Harry look at a picture of him with Peter and MJ, then we see him deep in thought. Harry isn't seen again until his heroic entrance to the final battle. This deleted version of the scene is restored in the official Editor's Cut, which removes Sony's reshoot with Bernard)
Because everyone on the internet hates this movie. NOBODY likes ANYTHING about it. There has NEVER been ANYTHING positive said about this movie and Critic is STUNNING and BRAVE for sharing this view that NOBODY has. Subtle.
I heard a theory that while Venom corrupts people's minds they are still technically the same person. So this is basically what a dorky person thinks as dark.
It's not a theory. Doc Connors in the movies says it out loud. The symbiote make a person's toxic traits stronger. It doesn't create them. So when Peter is dancing like a dork, he's acting like his definition of cool and hyp
It's not a theory. The symbiote enhances the traits of it's host in particular the more negative aspects like aggression. Those traits of Peter that had him dancing at the club and in the streets? Those already existed. The symbiote just magnified them and turned it up to 11. Peter is a uncool nerd so this is what he THINKS being cool is like. That's why it's perfect. It's totally in character for this version of Peter.
@@Webshooters1 I agree. But like Doug I'm confused by the crowd's reaction: at first you see people cringe around him but after a minute women are suddenly smiling at him so it's unclear to me if it's something he's imagining or not. The fact that it's shot from a POV angle confuses me even more...
I think one of the low-key laziest parts of this movie is how the butler knows that Norman Osborne's death was self-inflicted. Loyal butler, world's best coroner.
Sony imposed that scene to be made and added because they thought audiences were too dumb to realise Harry changed his mind on his own (the original, deleted version has Harry look at a picture of him with Peter and MJ, then we see him deep in thought. @@mrmacross The Editor's Cut also restores a scene that makes Sandman wanting to kill Spider-Man more believable. After Sandman's return and before he meets Venom, he visits his daughter who is at the beach with her mother, as a giant sand castle. After she leaves he promises "I won't let him stop me again".
Evil Peter Parker was perfect though. It was suppose to be cringing and uncomfortable, because the Symbiote amplies the evil within a person. So a dorky nerd like Peter would think that being a playboy douche that dances badly and doesn't care, is his inner evil. He's not an insane murderer, he's a hero, and his inner evil reflects that. That even when he's evil Peter, he's not an insane killer.

Maybe they were going for a “what regular people see vs. what peter sees”. So when the people are just looking at him like he’s insane is real life, and when people love what he’s doing it’s all in his head. I mean the symbiote can mess with his head
Wow that could be true. If it is though then they should've made it clearer. And if it isn't true then it should've been, that would've been a cool idea.
That was the plan. But this movie was a victim of huge studio interference that forced Venom into it or Sam Raimi wouldn't be allowed to direct it. He did the best he could, but well...brought to you by the same studio that reboots a franchise still fresh in people's minds.
CovahDX that would’ve made so much more sense than him being one of the main villains. And it would’ve technically been Sam Raimi putting venom in the movie. Damn Sam missed his chance to make the movie better
12:33 Wanna know something that's gonna make you depressed about this joke? After losing a court case revolving around a Sexual assault case that was later proven false, Stan Lee's last words in public were "I think I'll go to bed and die." In his later years, the love of his fans were the only thing keeping him happy along with those occasional projects he was involved with like Super 7 and that Super humans of his. His agent was exploiting him, his daughter blamed and hated him for all her relationship problems (She said that a lot of men were dating her for a shot at some of that Marvel money), a nurse trie to take him to court with a sham accusation, and the people he thought were fans were not only bashing this man, but also celebrating his death. He was at his lowest point in life after that trial, and died thniking the people he worked for hated him. At least now he's with Kirby, Moebius, and Ditko making some more great comics in Heaven.
@@l0sts0ul89 And I agree those Twit-brains didn't know a thing about Mr. Stanley Lieber to begin with. They called a Jewish WW2 Veteran who fought for the Allies a "Nazi," and called one half of the duo that made X-Men "Racist."
I love when Gwen realizes that she's being used as a third wheel for Mary Jane and apologizes for embarassing her. This, Spetacular, Amazing 1 & 2 and Verse made Gwen one my favorite characters.
Yeah, Gwen Stacy is pretty great and it's no wonder why she's so popular. I can totally see why people prefer her to MJ for Peter (even though people also ship her with Miles as well). Also, if you're into comics, Spider-Gwen is great as well.
My favorite detail in this movie is that sandman keeps falling apart, until he sees the locket with his daughters picture. That's what drives him to pull himself together and keep moving.
My thoughts on the Peter kissing Bryce on stage is that, well, MJ is an actress, if she had to kiss someone on stage I'd expect Peter to be comfortable with it, but the fact that he does the upside down kiss, that's pretty hard to defend.
“My name is Peter Parker. I was bitten by a radioactive spider. And for a couple years, I’ve been the one and only spider-man. I’m sure you know the rest. I save the city, fell in love, saved the city again maybe more than I should. Saved thousands of lives. Oh and I did this....” Cue 24:30- 24:50 “But we don’t talk about this... at all. Look I had movie trilogy, several acclaimed animated shows, I was part of a cinematic universe, and i had an animated movie featuring thousands different interpretations of me. It even gave me an Oscar. I even sold well in video games and toys. But despite all things I been put through, the one thing that’s keeping New York from oblivion is me and I love protecting it. There’s only one true face of Marvel and You’re looking at him.”
You failed to mention MJ brushing off Peter trying to support her after the bad reviews and her not telling him she was fired. She's just as bad in the relationship as he is.
I think there's actually a theory that Bruce Campbell's character is actually Mysterio since all of his jobs in the trilogy had something to do with show business in some way and Mysterio always wanted to become an actor in the comics. Also in the concept art for Spider-Man 4 there's a scene where Mysterio gets captured and unmasked and he looks a lot like Bruce Campbell.
Am I the only one who actually liked this movie and thought that the ending was pretty good? Just, having Peter forgive Sand Man for being misunderstood in his uncles’ death felt like a surprising and kind of satisfying ending.
I don't think he knows that happened. Like, she gave the astronaut a note but I doubt it said "hey I'm leaving you for your dad's freelance photographer, Peter Parker. See ya byeee" We as the audience know she left him for Peter, not the characters. Also, JJ's first reaction after his son was dumped was something like "I wonder if we can get the deposit back" or something about getting food. He hardly cares

When I saw this movie the audience cheered when Spidey blew up Harry, they clapped as if to say "yeah, that was bad ass" and that fight really was good!
19:16 Sam Raimi never wanted Venom in the film, the studio forced him. So in turn, he sabotaged Venom and the black suits inclusion. Which is why he hated the film to begin with.
I don't think he sabotaged it as much as he simply hadn't thought anything for that role, and in turn devalued everything else, which is why the Sandman conclusion was so oddly done. Even before a story/script is written, you have a compound of ideas and hopes of what you want your characters to accomplish and how to do it, even if rewriting changes some structure, you still have a goal. He's ready to film, it's the 11th hour, and the studio tells him "Venom or nothing". He was doomed.
@@shindean He went on record saying he didn't want to put Venom in the film and he "gave them what they wanted". Then he distanced himself from the film. He had other plans that Sony didn't care for
Huh, interesting... Makes a lot of sense if that's the case.. From the way Venom and Eddie were introduced it's clear they were not well thought out. The climax of the movie seemed forced, as well as sandman's conclusion feeling out of place because of it... And cutting venom out, would make it a solid movie... Hell, I kinda wanna see a re-cut version now.
In my opinion, he should have sacrificed Sandman and cut him out of the movie to focus on Harry and Venom. To quote Doc Ock, "Sometimes, to do what's right we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most"
Spider-man 3 is the first time as a child that I realized not all films are good. It was my very first disappointment. It was sad to see this realization started off with one of my favourite franchises.
@@prezwatts2278 When you reach 18 you'll realize how wayward you were. Or if you've reached adulthood, the only remaining plausible explanation is you're blinded by childhood bias. There are plenty of films which are objectively horrible that I first watched as a kid and loved.
The most unbelievable part of this entire movie is when Peter uses that little mini pocket in his jeans to hold the ring. No one has EVER used those pockets.
The scientist thing reminded me of How Spider-Man 3 Should Have Ended. "Eh, it's probably a bird." "Well why don't you look out the window and make sure before we mutate the hell out of something!"
Oh thank you! Harry's death moved me to ugly crying as a kid! So did Sandman telling his side of the story, and Peter forgiving him. It really got to me.
I cried at the end of Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame.
Cinemawins had an explanation for Peter kissing Gwen. He said that if people knew that Spider-Man had a loved one, people would go after them so the kiss was to make people think he didn’t
That's just a fan theory not an explanation. An explanation can only come from those who worked on the movie like the writers, directors, producers. Not some random dude with a youtube channel that just copied another channel's format but with a positive twist.
Scientist 1: "There's a change in silicon mass." Scientist 2: "It's probably just a bird, it'll fly away when we fire it up." Scientist 3: "Here's a bright idea, why don't you make sure it's a bird before you mutate the crap out of something just because you were too lazy to run this nighttime sand mutation experiment safely?" Scientist 2: "Ugh, fine. (looks out the lab window) Huh, that's a big bird down there." Scientist 1: "Hey, wait a minute. That's not a bird, that's a man."
Saverio Panaccione I was 11 when this film came out and I enjoyed it as much as the previous ones. Years later, it definitely has very obvious flaws, but I can’t help but have a soft spot for it. Not everything in 3 was shit. The birth of Sand Man is still one of my favorite scenes.
"The Internet is Colorblind." Ain't that the truth. Everything's either good or bad, black or white. But I like this review for saying this movie, and most movies, do have some good qualities to them and just because they aren't perfect doesn't mean you have to hate them and call them the worst thing ever to exist
Exactly. There are some things that I absolutely love but will admit they have some flaws (or can acknowledge they're just not for everybody), and there are some things I hate but will admit their good points. Not sure what's so hard about doing that. I don't think I've ever seen a negative review that I've taken personally to the point of going off on someone; if I disagree with their opinion I either respectfully point out why *I* like the thing or I move on, simple as that. As for responding to negative tweets, I don't do that either because I just stay the hell away from Twitter (as should ALL people who want to reduce the stress in their lives by 98%).
I've been saying this for years as well. I'm so tired of everything having to be boiled down to either being the worst thing ever, or the best thing ever. Kinda like when discussing characters in a game. Like take something like League of Legends, if a champion in there might be slightly suboptimal, suddenly they get touted as being fucking unplayable and garbage, when in fact, they might just be a bit niche and hard to play properly.
I think it would’ve been better if Harry acted like he had amnesia and was pulling the strings the whole time with . Leading to the house fight . Damn this movie should’ve focused on Peter , MJ , and Harry . With a sprinkle of Sandman ..... I’ll let myself out .
I would have preferred if they did Venom suit Spidey and Green Goblin, and make the ending be a teaser for the fourth film where we get Eddie Brock and Sandman. Basically splitting it into two movies to give the everyone more screen time.
It’s funny because knowing that Raimi doesn’t even like Venom and really just wanted Sandman and Harry as his villains made me realize just how much more passionate the Sandman scenes are, the way they’re shot, the time spent on them, etc. Venom was lazily written in and I can see the lack of that passion since Raimi was forced by Sony to include him.
victoria martines At least they were accurate in the internet refusing to admit its wrong and only thinking its right. If they had him be offended by everything Critic said that would be so accurate we could confuse him as the internet.
Spider man 3 was the first movie that got me to love and forgive and understand the villain. And kinda gave me chills for how relatable "I like being bad. It makes me happy" line.
Well, TO BE FAIR, as shitty as Jameson can be, he’s actually one of the few people in the comics who has pride and respect for his profession. He actually gives a shit about journalistic integrity and is the first one to call out bullshit when he sees it. If Jameson claims something is true, then he probably means it and has the evidence to back it up. He may hate Spider-Man, but not even that is enough to want to tarnish his reputation if he didn’t actually commit any crimes.
@@gothicMCRgirl Depends on who's writing him. @@Hobie02425 nothing really, because Sam Raimi didn't liked the black costume saga, or rather he never read it. He was forced to put it so he pulled a "Now dig on this"
@@Hobie02425 Actually it does and why it's brilliant. Peter has since the start of this trilogy been CONSTANTLY shit on by life but now when he's finally getting some recognition that what Spider-Man does is helping people it starts to go to his head and inflate his ego which is why he's so dismissive of MJ's problems then once he gets the black suit that ego is turned up to 11 and since Peter has always been an awkward, anti-social nerd this IS what he thinks being cool and confident is like. The suit is corrupting him and bringing out his worst aspects. Petty, vengeful, vanity, etc capping off when he hits MJ. If I wanted a more comic-book depiction of the black suit I'd watch the Alien Costume three-parter from Spider-Man TAS.
Oddly enough this is very Venom Like in the movie Eddie is a lil dorky and awkward I can actually imagine a scene in the film where Eddie and Venom enter a club and Eddie starts awkwardly dancing badly and everybody including Venom thinks its bad so Venom takes control of his body to give some super awesome dance moves
IMHO, the film should have focused on: Harry's arc Peter and MJ's relationship Eddie Brock/Venom Gwen Stacy, her dad, and Sandman add little to nothing to the film when I really think about it. Sandman's story just ends, and the Stacys just fade into the background once Venom hits the scene.
Raimi didn't want to do Venom so soon, he saved that concept for the 4th or 5th movie, Sony said, fuck that, this is the last film and it needs Venom, Raimi wanted Sandman for the third, and we got too many plotlines happening. I agree though, a lack of Gwen Stacy would've helped, but I think Venom should've been shelved as well over Sandman.
No, t should have focused on Sandman, not Venom. As Motodog242 said, Venom was something that the series was still building to. Cramming him into this movie ruined it. Without him here, most likely, we would have gotten more set up with JJ's son, and he'd most likely have been tied into how Venom reaches Earth (astronaut, alien life form). But without time to develop that, we get this mess. And you'll notice too that the Sandman stuff is the better done stuff, because that's what Riami was invested in, what he had prepared for.
A few people have pointed this out, so I'll try and say something new. Venom was forced into the movie by Sony against Raimi's wishes. I think focusing on Sandman would make for a far more focused story, leaving room for Peter and Mary Jane's relationship and Harry's story. This way we wouldn't have cringe worthy dance scenes and the romantic could be more developed. Other than that I agree with Critic in removing the amnesia storyline and making Harry more of a scheming villain, and I agree that the Stacy's should have been removed. Something I would've done is have Peter tell Harry about his father's death (like he was trying to do after Mary Jane's Broadway show). It would make more sense then the butler doing it.
I would understand throwing Gwen and Eddie in 3 to set him up as Venom in the 4th. We know Raimi didn’t want Venom in 3 but Sony did, I’m surprised they didn’t bite to pump out more movies
I feel like Sam Raimi was playing a game of chicken with Avi Arad: "I'll make the Venom storyline so awful, he'll make me cut it from the film!" Unfortunately, nobody blinked.
Honestly, I agree with pretty much all of Doug’s opinions in this film. This is basically how I would do a review on this film. The film’s not perfect, but it has plenty of great moments. Every Spider-Man movie has something great even if it’s not the best.
When you talked about bruce Campbell's cameo characters all being the same dude it made me laugh because that was actually sam raimis intention. His cameos are actually as Quentin beck, who would be the main villain, mysterio in spiderman 4
Fan theory: every Bruce Campbell character in these movies is Ash from Evil Dead1,2/Army of Darkness after he gets fired from S-Mart and just keeps getting fired from different jobs until Value Stop in Ash vs. Evil Dead. He just loves to screw with customers' heads like Peter.
So Ash regrew his hand, became a wrestling anouncer that met the human spider, got fired, became a ticket usher at a broadway show where he meets Peter. Turns him away and causes his emotional arch, got fired and learned terrible french, and got a job where he helps Parker try to propose. Wow that is a stretch. Groovy.

The guy we barely saw across multiple movies was going to be a well-known Spider-Man villain? Sounds like it would have been awesome. Guess there was a Spider-Man Cinematic Universe (SCU) before the MCU.
Sam Raimi didn't want to include Venom, he admitted he didn't know how to do venom, he was forced to by the execs.
That explains so much🕸
If he was forced to include Venom, he could've at least done extra research to ensure he got him right. Even if he hated the character, he should've put the extra effort to make him as best as can be. I mean, for God's sake, he doesn't even make Venom/Brock say "We," instead of "I."

Things I genuinely like about Spider-Man 3:
-The black symbiote suit was a killer.

You'd think that he would've checked w/ Mary Jane first before immediately kissing somebody else.
That's just a fan theory not an explanation. An explanation can only come from those who worked on the movie like the writers, directors, producers. Not some random dude with a youtube channel that just copied another channel's format but with a positive twist.

I was shocked Doug didn't hate it
To be fair, as a movie on it's own, it wasn't that bad... just incredibly flawed and a disappointment. They did Venom wrong.
That's not exactly how colorblindness works.
The irony on his sponsor ad is amazing
I think it would’ve been better if Harry acted like he had amnesia and was pulling the strings the whole time with . Leading to the house fight . Damn this movie should’ve focused on Peter , MJ , and Harry .

Ohh hi harry
I like how for years people have told me that Venom should've been the only villain...
While i always thought that Sandman was good enough on his own
I always thought it should have been Sandman and New Goblin working together instead.
I would have preferred if they did Venom suit Spidey and Green Goblin, and make the ending be a teaser for the fourth film where we get Eddie Brock and Sandman. Basically splitting it into two movies to give the everyone more screen time.
Ivan Cerecer apparently venom wasn’t supposed to be in the film at all. Producers forced Sam to add him in against his will.
Fun fact: Harry's Butler is Bill Paxton's father

1:39 “if I said it, it must be true”
That’s the most J Jonah Jameson line I’ve ever heard
Well, TO BE FAIR, as shitty as Jameson can be, he’s actually one of the few people in the comics who has pride and respect for his profession. He actually gives a shit about journalistic integrity and is the first one to call out bullshit when he sees it. If Jameson claims something is true, then he probably means it and has the evidence to back it up. He may hate Spider-Man, but not even that is enough to want to tarnish his reputation if he didn’t actually commit any crimes.
And will protect employees.
@@gothicMCRgirl Depends on who's writing him. Marvel Comics nowadays is ditching continuity and established character development for being topical, and JJJ can perfectly represent everything wrong with the media. I think back during "Dark Reign", he sang the praises of Norman Osborne, Director of H.A.M.M.E.R. ANd when he was Mayor of NYC, he extended his grudge against Spider-Man to ALL the Avengers. And you watched the end credit stinger to Far From Home, right?

LMAO!!!!!! I distantly remember people walking out of Spider-Man 3 right after the club dance scene.
I honestly like the "emo Peter Parker" scene and its cringe. Cause Peter, this Peter, is an awkward nerd who has no clue what cool is. So all of this is exactly how someone like that would act if they were suddenly über confident
Oddly enough this is very Venom
Like in the movie Eddie is a lil dorky and awkward
I can actually imagine a scene in the film where Eddie and Venom enter a club and Eddie starts awkwardly dancing badly and everybody including Venom thinks its bad so Venom takes control of his body to give some super awesome dance moves

Doug’s playing as J.K Simmons playing J Jonah Jameson is just as good as J.K Simmons playing J Jonah Jameson.
4:33 This is the best depiction of a part of the internet ever.
IMHO, the film should have focused on:
Harry's arc
Peter and MJ's relationship
Eddie Brock/Venom
Gwen Stacy, her dad, and Sandman add little to nothing to the film when I really think about it.
I say harry + mj struggles with the black suit then tease Eddie Brock at the end setting up venom as the villain in movie 4

That's not true. Bruce Campbell was interviewed recently and said it was all BS. BC is just Sam's buddy and the concept art was just art.
Groovy.
