    Thanks for sharing this tutorial. Its impressive that youre showing from step to step . They were really usefull especially for beginners like me. I have one simple question, I m already draw my dimpled pipe (hollowed) from catia. how i want to set the inlet and the outlet?

    • @AnsysTutor

      you need to fill the inside of the pipe with another part in CATIA for the fluid profile, then only you can define the Inlet and outlet.

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Every problem dont have a convergence. It depends on the residuals vs iteration plot. If the graph lines are moving downwards then there is a chance of convergence, but if its a constant horizontal line after certain iterations then its not required to run the iterations for several times.

    Thank you a lot for this nice video, in my opinion, I saw some mistakes of you based on my experiences in using Ansys-Fluent: at first, is there necessary to put all the part inside a single part as FORM NEW PART? And the second is about determining BCs for the wall and shadow wall since you inputted two different temperature ie 320 and 310 K, however, in the Fluent manual it has been asserted that considered wall and its shadow must have the same properties and values as well? and the final question for me what is the main differences between local and global temperature distributions in the CFD post you mentioned. I would be appreciated if you could crystallize these points for me. Thanks alot.

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Javad for your question. The reason behind making all the bodies to one part is to create a conformal mesh between all the parts so that there would not be any contact faces , second thing about the shadow wall, yes you are right, the wall and shadow can't be have different tempt it's my mistake, sorry for that, after assigning the shadow tempr as 310k the wall tempr that I had put 320K might be changed to 310k automatically,
      In CFD post, global setting means it will consider the maximum & minimum temperature of the total domain which is selected in the analysis, but if you select local , you would get the variation of result on that selected face or region only.

      @javadahmadi1723 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AnsysTutor Thank you so much for all of the points you mentioned here. However, I actually, I want to be sure, the best method of defining interfaces in which we could catch the heat transfer between solid and fluid domains. As you mentioned using FORM NEW PART just makes the meshes be conformal between the mutual boundaries, but we must have contact regions in order to define MESH INTERFACES in the FLUENT which causes us to have a dominant control in the solution process! This section i.e. the correct definition of the interfaces made me a little bit confused now! I would be appreciated if you could give more information about this issue. And thanks again for taking the time to the questions.
      Sincerely,
      Javad

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Mesh interfaces are important ,but not in all the cases , you can watch our tutorial on single moving reference frame and multiple moving reference frame in which I had shown how mesh interface plays important role in mesh motion, apart from this there are also some cases in which we want non conformal meshing for better meshing to a single part with out disturbing other part's mesh. Mesh interfaces modeling is an important work if anyone skip this step it might give a totally wrong result. That's why for beginners I always suggest them to make these as one part to get the result.

      @@AnsysTutor Thank you for your response. And could you please put the link of the mentioned videos that I could directly have access to them. I am now actually working on the modeling of a NATURALLY VENTILATED DOUBLE SKIN FACADE and now have faced plenty of issues in order to solve the problem. At first, I thought maybe because of the undecent method of defining interfaces my results are not getting closer to the experiments but I saw that was not the problem, so I need some critical help about solving the regarded problem.. If there are videos about the natural ventilation with conjugative heat transfer that consider air as fluid and a transparent solid please inform me. And I am solving in 2D and 3D as well.

    • @javadahmadi1723
      @javadahmadi1723 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, the main problem consists of a cavity with 2 layers of glasses that separated each other by 55 cm distances. In the modeling techniques, I have tried to model just the inside of the cavity as a fluid domain and the constraints are the glasses with thicknesses that I also meshed them. There are 2 openings in the bottom and top of this cavity that air can ingress and egress of it. for the thermal boundary condition, I have considered two types of heat sources for one case by using constant heat flux (714 w/m2) and for the second case I have used DO radiation model and input 715 w/m2 as the heat adding from radiation tap (the tap next to the thermal boundary condition in the FLUENT). At first, I need to know what is best way of defining heat source for this types of problems (i.e catching greenhouse effect inside the cavity especially in 2D environment) I mean order to define a heat source that comes from the sun and increases the cavity air temperature which method is very efficient and more accurate? Thank you so much if you could just give some tips or give your opinion about my utilized strategy.
      Bests,
      Javad
