"And it only took 40 years." I'm sorry about the wait everyone, I've been fighting depression and burnout but I'm getting better. This might be my last fire emblem video for a while, I'd like to try and branch out. I took my sweet time playing through Genealogy and genuinely enjoyed it all the way to the end. My only hiccup was the damn sleep staff... I'm happy to have experienced this game and I'm sure it'll only get better on subsequent playthroughs. If you haven't played Fire Emblem you should check it out, it's a cool series.
It only took 40 years because that’s how long the average Genealogy map is.

Dew is actually safe on a Forest. if it was an animation; he'd be trolling every single one of them.

Finn never falls off. As long as you feed him all the gen 1 statbooster villages and don’t pair him and make sure his brave lance gets over 50 kills before gen 2 starts by having someone else pass it down and then sell it back to him.

IMO he actually just needs to promote (or get around Level 15) and he'll be fine in Chapter 7 when he shows up with the iron lance. The armor knights that he has to fight there aren't very strong at all.
Also a quick "tip" for that part of chap 7
If you give an armorslayer to ethylin Leif can almost one round all armor knights. You can also give a magic sword to fee and move her down to have one more unit to deal with the reinforcements. She can set ups kills for Leif, deal with the bandits or with the mages and help protecting Nanna
@@InigoTK eh the issue with that is just simply lief doesn't need the xp from them outside of an ltc so having him try grind of them is either tediously slow or just risks his life, instead you can just simply return staff him, have him arena, and then give him the shield sword to face down eldigans group
yeah this is what happened with my Finn
he probably killed the most enemies in my own playthrough and even killed the majority of the deadlords

I made that mistake on my second playthrough. Very mean of them to introduce the Valkyrie staff to incentivize using it immediately.

i was lucky as frick my first playthrough. i moved her in a slightly wrong direction; but kept moving her towards Claud all the while she was getting attacked by a merc. i never had so much stress de-dumbing myself from a situation, being that one mess up in FE4 tends to lead to alot of death of a unit on your side.
I just don't bother moving her as I've never been able to save her

I lost aideen on this very map the exact same way, forgot to move her out of the castle i put her in for "safety"

@@SyxxPunk Ayra and Jamke are recruitable units that you have to talk to with Sigurd (the main character) in order to get. Thing is, they start as enemies first and aggro immediately. Second thing is, they have REALLY fucking high offensive stats and skills so if you try to bait them in odds are they will absolutely murder anyone you tried it with.
Ishtar is a boss unit that not only has really high offensive stats and a really scary skillset like the 2 above, she also has a Holy Weapon (basically game breaking super weapons). If you try to enemy phase/bait her in, she will absolutely delete the unit you baited with out of existence. Her holy weapon is also magic tome, and this is a game where basically everyone has 0 res (magic defense).
The gasp is meant to capture the player's surprise when they thought they would survive the encounter.

As someone who only got halfway through chapter and just absorbed the rest of the game through random tweets, the part about enemy phasing Jamke is something i felt personally.

Oh. Oh dear God I felt that one. I haven't played FE4 in over 5 years but I still very clearly remember how hard Ares and Seliph carry the last chapter just because they are the only offensive units with more than like, 10 res.

@@jokx4409 yeah no seliph is inmune to sleep staves at base if he has the tyrfing equipped and ares gets enough res by the time he promotes to have above 21 res (the maximun any sleep staff user has) with mystletainn.

@@Evilriku13sorry for the late response but by yuck i mean oosawa is a gross creep to the point where she writes in, for no reason, Eldigan x Lachesis to a disturbing degree it ruins Eldigan's character completely. He falls in love with her when she was 12 🤮 and then the manga vilifies his wife as some jealous b**** as if its unreasonable to be upset.
Lastly if you though it was over after he dies... NOPE. Oosawa ships SeliphxJulia and makes Larcei in love with Shannan and upset he doesn't love her back even though Shannan brings up the fact that he raised her. Which is such wtf levels of disappointment seeing her character get reduced to that since this is right after Larcei and Ulster get such a good emotional arc when fighting Dannan(their father is lex). Also Sigurd walks in on Dierdre bathing naked and throws himself at her to prevent her from leaving like no oosawa this stuff is not as endearing as you think it is. Tried to redeem/sympathize villains even when they shouldn't be. She tries to throw this stuff in the manga any chance she gets(and she pushes it way too far everytime i am barely scratching the surface chapters 21-22 and 65 are a must skip). I would never recommend this to anyone who has been groomed or a victim of SA (especially by a family member).
you can always just skip to the best parts like battle of belhalla 52-55, the fight with Dannan 60-62, Dierdre taking over a castle in 14, Sigurd punching sandima in 7, 67-68 oifey electrocutes an entire army in a large puddle . Thracia arc 86-present chapters.
That “What do you mean he's leaving!?” part had me laughing my gut out for 5 straight minutes 😂

The fact you were able to comment on most of what you wanted and the entire 50-70 hour game in a four minute video takes some real grit and chops! Well done Bismix! So many of the call outs are true tho, Pavise is actually dumb in this game and FE5 lol. The enemy phase jokes and enemy canto/no choke point joke is soooo different than any other FE. Looking forward to whatever comes out next from ya, but take as long as ya need obviously. Here’s hoping life gives ya some real upturns in the future.

And that is how i beat the scion of darkness with my lvl 3 stat screwed julia. Huddled all my healers and dermott next to her, so that she can fight julius on both phases and be at top health.
I just realized that at 2:52 the second the next generation is mentioned, Bis gets a haircut and that's just amazing.

God i started a playthrough of my own like a year ago and stopped playing at chapter 2 after recruiting Beowolf and Lewyn and had to hurry back to the main castle AND get back to the chokepoints to dwfend against all those damn knights.

I make a joke about Bis taking so long to emulate the timeskip in a stream recently and he is like "Gotta get the timeskip design right". Then I watch this and realize he actually has his hair shorter for Gen 2, Emulating how Seliph's hair is more tame than Sigurd. That's dedication.

1:29 No one though Pavise was a great idea, it's been messed up in every game its been in lol. In FE 4,5,9, and 10 it's literally haha luck% BS bingo time and then in FE 8 they decided to make it even more messed up by making it enemy level dependent LMAO. So example, Lvl 20 Amelia vs Lvl 1 Bandit = 1% Great Shield proc. These games were coded worse than Melee.
Wait; it was ENEMY LEVEL based? wow. i'm actually glad all the time i fought enemy generals i had a low level unit dunk on them for EXP.
It's well coded, it's just that the formula/skill is bad

Fun fact: Balmung!Larcei can force Julius down to 0 hit with the following combinations
3x Charm (requires Laylea), lover, Seliph leadership, Sibling, Speed Ring and cap and at least 27 Lck (17 if Seliph has 3rd star from not resetting).
Of course, getting her with Balmung requires a specific set of pairings and a complex glitch, so most will never be able to try this sadly.
How do you even get Larcei to use Balmung? Doesn't she need major whatever blood?
@@Posby95 Pair Ayra and Holyn to get her major Od blood, get Shannon killed after he obtains Balmung, then use a reset glitch when you revive him with the Valkyrie staff to make Balmung appear in the pawn shop, allowing Larcei and Skatach to buy it. It's complex and definitely not worth it since Shannon with Balmung is still great and the twins can just use a Brave Sword or other A rank sword to perform as well as they need to.
@@Posby95 you can break balmung then sell the broken weapon and buy it with larcei then repair it if she has major odo blood from holyn

Just finished this game the other day and I can confirm that this video pretty much sums up the entire FE4 experience (rest in Forsetti never forgetti)
I swore to myself that Genealogy would be the only FE I'd never play, but that all changed, when the Bismix nation attacked.

This game is fun on a first playthrough, but the ones after are so fun to optimize and experiment with, especially gen 2. Glad you had fun and you're taking care of yourself!

Welcome back Bismix. Though I... REALLY hate fe4 for a lot of reasons, I'll look forward to seeing what you have in store in the future.
FE4s biggest strength is it’s gameplay integrated storytelling and epic scale.
It’s biggest flaw is how brutally difficult it is, and how unreasonably tight certain side objectives are (seriously even IF you know how to do it, it’s often random chance or very very specific how you do it). There’s secret, and then there’s just cryptic. There’s challenging and then there’s nonsense that makes most players quit a few chapters in. Kind of a shared flaw with Thracia which itself also shares strengths.
@@ramenbomberdeluxe4958 fair enough. Though personally I'm really not a fan of games that in my eyes, the gameplay and story integration goes to far. I'm fine with it in small amounts but fe4 went WAY overboard for me.

I don't know anything about Genealogy so I'm sure there were some massive spoilers if I actually remember them when I get to play it. But that just proves you don't need to be familiar with the game to enjoy these videos. It's a shame this channel doesn't have like a million subs, everyone needs more Mix. Always entertaining.
