@@bismix4 Here's a way to make the beginning of the game much more tolerable:
Before going down to Onett after you bring Pokey/Porky and Picky home, go back up the hill to visit Lier X. Agerate. Why? Because you'll encounter a few enemies going up and down the hill, giving you some experience/level ups and most importantly easy money for the equipment you can buy in Onett. Plus, seeing the Mani Mani Statue in Agerate's house is some nice foreshadowing!
After visiting Agerate's house and you're going down to Onett, make sure you visit that hidden treehouse and get the Mr. Baseball cap, then go out and buy the Tee ball bat and Cheap bracelet. In my experiences, that not only made the beginning fights with Frank's gang a breeze, it also made my friends' first playthroughs much easier.

Funny thing about the bike in the postgame; it produces a sound effect you only hear if you ride it in the swamp in Deep Darkness. Nowhere else. The bike is a big joke that way too many people don't understand.

In all fairness though, you can do just fine by only ever using magic with Poo, it's not even like he's gonna outshine Ness in physical
1 in 128 is not even a one percent drop rate.
@nekomajinc335 and it's even lower when there's more than one enemy in the mix. Usually you fight a gold starman alongside other enemies, so fighting a gold one and a silver one makes it 1/256 drop
Everytime Trent popped Up i couldn't help but laugh , All the Grinding was spot on. Also Riding the Bike was definitely hype

The Casey Bat is actually REALLY good.... IF you can get a sneak attack, because the auto-win system only tracks your parties basic damage stats, not your accuracy.
There is not enough people talking about the homesick bit. Ness seems to get homesick at genuinely the most inconvenient times known to man.

I’m glad you got to play one of my favorite SNES games! I grabbed it on Wii U almost a decade ago and I loved it even though it had a lot of rough edges to it. It must’ve taken enormous restraint not to make a full 3 minute waterfall joke lol. Big fan of the effort to go all the way to a beach near a road for the Dusty Dunes desert joke. Well done BisMix!

This video inspired me to pick up Earthbound. I only through the first town on my last attempt, so seeing the relatable bits in real time has been great!
I really appreciate the specificity of the reactions you have on this channel. Online people only tend to talk broad strokes about games so it was great having a visceral reaction to stuff like the complete devastation of the bike situation. And Black Entoid H gave me a good laugh (with some flashbacks).

I'm so glad you knew about being able to ride the bike home, not many people know about that! But then again, you gotta lug that thing through the entire final stretch, where the limited inventory space is already at a premium.

I remember i once used pray in an encounter in Belch's dungeon. Everyone started crying. 1 or 2 of my party members went down, but the enemies weren't strong enough to finish us all off. I couldn't finish them off because I couldn't land an attack, and i think they might have been able to call for reinforcements. I was stuck there for maybe an hour.

I was wondering when I got the Sword of Kings. So I looked it up, and I had already saved and defeated Stonehenge. So I never got to grind 😢

In monster hunter 6: You know, I could walk all the way back to camp with an egg. Or I could use a Farcaster alpha! (Basically a farcaster that is way better than the original, allowing you to go back to the beginning camp while carrying delivery items in your hands.)
