The DLC was contained on the Mario Kart Double Dash Bonus Disk and it gave the player a lot of weapons and stat boosters and a silver card

In fact that led into me persuading my parents to buy one. I also then emulated Gold version in Japanese, before fan translations, and before it was released in the west. Pretty sure I'd only have been 11 or so. That was the beginning of a wonderful world of classics -and degeneracy- .

Yeah, Lyn is trash. She doubles a lot, but she hits like a limp noodle. Eliwood is like that, except slower, but eventually he gets a horse. Hector is probably the one that's decent, but his movement is bad.

@@Adam-tu1lk I mean, that's great, but low movement is always annoying. Hector has 5 to the other two's 7 each.
Adam Samir stats mean nothing if your guy’s not there to kill stuff before your other units are. Hector’s stats are really nice but he’s stuck with 5 move the whole game and gets swords of all things after promotion. Besides, bosses aren’t the only things you’ll ever need to kill and Hector’s mediocre speed can make it tough to double on HHM, which is the generally assumed mode for talking about units.
As long as you keep Lyn decently leveled (and by that I mean she should be at least level 10 by the end of her quest) and you give her the energy ring in chapter 10, she should be one of the best characters in the game. It shouldn't really matter that her defense and resistance are so low because nothing ever hits her anyway. Plus she has super low support barriers with some really great characters.

It's an escort quest, but the challenge is making sure your charge doesn't kill everyone.
also, nothing like needing alot of EXP to get to the gaiden stage, but who you're trying to protect doesn't need protecting and just kills everybody.

Never, not even in modern FE games, have I ever had a Pegasus Knight be as murderous as Florina. My own Florina wrecked more than a third of the last few Lyn's Tale maps, she was that good

Reminds me of the time i had a blessed Florina that capped Str, Speed, Skill, Res, and HP - she capped Str at lvl 35. I basicly didnt had to think anymore and just send her in. Arrows jsut tickled her 22 Defense. Still did only 8 Damage to the Dragon with Rex Hasta. Cant make that shit up

Seriously, the biggest challenge IMHO in that chapter is to prevent Pent from killing too many enemies, so you'll be able to get to Genesis... if you dare.

FE7 is still one of my favorites in the series, and "THAT Paralogue" had a lot to do with it. I really loved how they incorporated the hidden paralogues that not only served as extra little challenges, but also gave a ton of depth to the story. I kinda miss those days...

@@_Stormfather Paralogues unlock with specific conditions, and in Hector mode, there are three you need to unlock to get a bit more of the story. You can get one of them in Eliwood's mode too, but it's mostly Hector's.

@@MyVanir Berserk Staff causes your units to attack nearest unit regardless of friend or foe. Jaffar, as an Assassin, has high crit %, usually has a Killing Edge or 3, and has hidden 1-Hit-Kill ability that ignores everything, AND he has low Res.

@@joeyharrington1863 Not really. You give him bosskills and a speedwing and he can solo the game. The longer the game goes on the better the marcus exp/others exp becomes. If promotes were a waste of experience you wouldnt have HHM strats like 15/1 sain at the end of LHM going into HHM. Because that sain is, essentially, mini marcus or marcus #2.

You can't comperhend the true form of Canas attack
it's great when it's on genesis enemies and a bad roll basically means none of your units survives.
The funny thing is, Canas died in the same chapter I recruited him in, so I never got to experience having dark magic users until the endgame.

@@sincalo Letting my troops die? More like my weaker units and/or healers getting curbstomped by reinforcements out of nowhere because I haven't played the game 20 times to memorize their spawns.
In all seriousness, I still like older FE games, especially Blazing Sword, but I'd rather have casual mode. Between random reinforcements, fog of war, 1% crits, and - admittedly - my lack of foresight (I suck, especially at long term unit building and planning, though again that's partially due to a lack of memorization of where to get what), I find permadeath to be more of an annoyance than a feature.

@@DoctorFalchion Yeah reinforcements are dumb, and being unlucky sucks, but I find permadeath actually does this thing, where it punishes you for fucking up, rather than giving a minor inconvinience at best. The only thing Casual Mode can give as an actual punishment is _maybe_ making it harder to complete that chapter, depending on who dies. But let's be real, if you're playing casual, you probably like to give your units exp, and if a unit you like dies in a chapter, chances are you're probably gonna wanna reset anyways to give them the exp, so if resetting is gonna happen anyways I fail to see the difference. But of course, that depends on the player. If you just wanna get through the game, by all means, but there's a reason it feels cheap for a lot of players.

Oh damn! I never thought you’d make one on FE7 (and actually mention Eliwood in a semi-positive light). This was an amazing vid! Hilarious too. Always remember to C H E E S E I T U P
On a side note, my first playthough of FE7 I literally just brought every cav in the game thinking they were the best class + The three lords. The paladín class blew my mind back then when I found out about promotions.
Then I later gave Eliwood boots to catch up with his frendos, not knowing when he’d promote, only to turn into a Cav that can zoom across time and space. (9 spaces of movement lmao)
I then proceeded to call Eliwood “King of the Cavs” and he had dummy thicc stats on my first playthough.
Oh, and Lyn would always get RNG screwed in combat while Hector choked points. I probably played the game wrong, but it was fun.
