Before The Railroad - How We Make Our Maple Syrup & SOO Line 730 Update!

Hello everyone! In between getting equipment hauled out here to the railroad we recently finished making our maple syrup for the year. Due to the recent unfavorable weather conditions we decided to go ahead and share another cherished tradition out here with you all, and try to explain why it is so important to us. Though it doesn't tie in to the railroad directly per say, it is one of the most important chapters in our history that led us to where we are today. We hope you enjoy this story from our past and we look forward to sharing more progress on the railroad with you all within the next few uploads!

My father makes maple syrup as an early spring hobby. It's a fun thing to help with and once you have had real maple syrup, you really cannot go back to the artificial stuff.

Now you could make a few rail cars that would hold the sap and bring it back to the shack with the locomotive

That is in the works. I am planning on putting a siding into the sap shack.
