We're back to work on the railroad! - The real reason why we are building this🚂 🛤

- Hello everyone! Today we are sharing with you the very first steps we took to break into railroading season. It's been a long time coming and we're super excited to finally be back to work on the railroad! We know many of you are anxiously waiting for us to start laying down some track and run the train, and we are happy to announce that we will indeed be firing the locomotive within the next 2-3 weeks. Until then, the ground is still a little to soft to start laying down track. So, until we can do that, we are going to tackle the other important projects that directly impact our ability to continue building the railroad.
Also, we will attempt to catch everyone up to speed on why we are even taking on this massive project. To our newcomers, thank you for hopping on board with us! For those who have been here from the beginning, we can't express enough just how much your support means to us. You're all a part of this journey with us. Stay tuned as the next few weeks will entail a few other ventures we have been up to during the off season. Hey dude, i just wanna say your a amazing father for doing such a thing for your son. He is always gonna look out for you guys whenever your riding the train from above and really hope you get lots of people to come and see. You should maybe consider allowing your steam locomotive to visit other 2 foot railroads to help contribute to helping show awareness of your progress to your railroad to expand. I know Edaville Railroad is setup a lot like how your railroad is being a loop railroad they just got some nice rolling stock from Africa to help their efforts. Seriously wish you guys the best of luck with making something everyone can enjoy. I hope you never give up on your dreams and keep strong for Neo is always there for you even in the darkness of times. So sorry for your loss man.

The railway loop Paul Bunyan wants under his Christmas tree . OR - You could set the steamer on 'slow', hop off and join your wife on the bench and enjoy watching it go around your giant trainset.

My nephew drowned at 2 years , it was hell, I honestly dont know how you feel nor do i want to experience it or wish it upon anyone, thats horrible suffering. May your son rest well now. Everything you've said and are doing in this video has put a big smile one my face and it should everyone else's too. I can't think of how else you could have presented it in any other way. Life is hard, very, very hard at times. I wish you, your family and your railroad the most happiness and great success in the future. It looks like it is going to be a such wonderful place, a happy place, if you will... that many will come to love and enjoy to visit.

I found your channel through TH-cam analytics, but I believe it was fate. My wife and I lost our son at 17. You are absolutely correct. Losing a child is the hardest thing anyone could ever experience. Parents should never have to bury their child. I would love to say that it will get easier, but, it doesn't. Daniel has been gone for 17 years. I think of him every second of every day. I though my wife would never smile again, but we have adapted. You never forget, you just learn to accept what has happened and move on. I hope to someday visit your little railroad. My wife's family is involved with railroad maintenance and repair here in Ohio and across the country. I think it would nice to see a railroad that is used make someone smile.
Thanks for sharing a little of your story. Last year, we did 2 events for parents who have lost children. And we are planning one for the near future. We hope to hear from you again. P.S. I'm so glad you adopted. We are not ready for that yet.

Sadly I never got to really meet Neo I would see him around but I never got the chance to talk to him, but I do remember being in the schools shop and overhearing him talking about how yall were going out on a trip to get a locomotive, and I thought that was the coolest thing. Now getting to actually watch what you have been doing to make the railroad happen is probably my top 3 things that are happening in the area. Keep up the great work, and I cant wait to see the progression.
It is our hope that through these videos and the construction of the railway that those who didn't get to know him while he was here will still get to know the kind of young man he was. Despite him not being here anymore he is still with us and he is still touching many peoples lives on a daily basis. We're excited to look back on this project as we go further. It'll never be an easy thing to discuss and there will never be a "good time" for it, but if our story can help somebody else through a difficult time we can't keep it to ourselves. We too look forward to all the fun things we have planned out here. It sure feels good to be working on the railroad again.

I have a great idea for your railroad. After you get the new train station, build up. Why you and your wife in memory of your son use his name in it. My heart and prayers 🙏 go out to you 🙏 guys. Maybe down the rail, make a tunnel with mineing dump little car on the side. So it helps you tell the store of the steam engine from my home state. I wish 🤞 you all good luck. I am so sorry 😢for your loss. Our family knows about loosening a child.
Thank you ❤️ Believe it or not we are currently planning how to accomplish just that. We recently started hauling dirt on the grade once again, and after that stage is finished we'll have to prioritize some spots on the railroad first. We'll have an update video for everybody here within the next week 👍
I have lost my grandparents who I lived with my grandfather was the reason why I'm into trains and I've helped with firing a h.k.porter 0-6-0t s100 as well building track both of witch my late grandfather got to see in person he was proud of me I miss him every day

Dear Paul, what happened to your son Neo that cost him his life? Being honest about facing your grief and honoring your son's memory are indeed very positive and constructive ways to cope with such a heartbreaking loss, especially knowing what your son Neo would have wanted you to do after he was gone. Whatever it was that happened to Neo, I sense that he and you, his parents, knew in advance that he didn't have long to live, and that the three of you had time to process this terrible news and talk about it. I hope you all had that chance anyway. I completely feel your sadness - there's no way around it - at the same time all we humans facing such loss can do is get back on our feet and live our lives as best we can. Surely Neo wants that for you!

Came to the U.P. to visit your farm and there are NO TRESPASSING SIGNS, PRIVATE PROPERTY and says Think Twice Owner plans to protect. Very Confused....you invite people to look you up WHY?? Not the warm & fuzzy like your videos make it out to be. Disappointed ☹️
So sorry you fell this way. We are not open for business yet, but I would have loved to give you a tour!!! Please let me know in advance to make sure I'm available. We can't have people running around freely on the property with all the construction. I hope you understand.
