      Lol he's being negative but I'd still buy one. I'll never understand some people.

      Yes this reviewer likes a stiff ride lol. Does he not realize he is driving a 6000 lb. truck not a sports car lol.

    The irony that he's complaining about the Navigator not being "modern enough", yet it holds up way better, and way more reliably as compared to a lot of its European rivals that not only fall apart with their "latest and greatest" technology, but also costing an absolute fortune to fix, not to mention the hell you have to go through with the dealership and manufacturer to take responsibility for their shit job. I'd rather have Navigator any day

      You are correct most reviewers have a agenda that they are paid to push .I watch for a good laugh once in a while.

    you're supposed to step ON the running boards not "around" them.

    • @doug9066
      @doug9066 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol yep that's right, step on them not around them which is why they are there.

    Even with the negative review I like this Lincoln Navigator.

      I buy autos based on reviewers not likening them that way i know i will love them. Just like media in general they live in their own reality and are so out of touch with regular people and reality in general.

    i kinda understand this guy a little bit. ford needs to treat this brand as a separate luxury brand so that customers will have a reason to buy a Lincoln instead of a fully loaded ford.

    You are supposed to step on them. They are nice and wide which is precisely why they will NOT mess up your shoes because they only come in contact with the bottoms which you can't say the same for most skinny fixed running boards that are too narrow , reduce ground clearance and get muddy. What's great about this truck is that it is so easy to live with the great ride and visibility and room. Yes, it has older style but BETTER functionality in an SUV. You are really reaching with many of your criticisms. I have an L and it is a lot of truck for the money and probably the best truck to carry whole family in comfort, all your luggage and tow boat or airstream. Not many can compete room and overall comfort and pickup trucks don't ride as nice. Newer designs are not as spacious or easy to live with due to being cramped inside with poor visibility.

    why does a luxury vehicle have to have a loud sporty exhaust

    • @doug9066
      @doug9066 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree.

    • @chonasimpson6487
      @chonasimpson6487 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does not and should not have a loud exhast. When you try to build a vehicle to please everyone you compromise on everything leaving you with a shit product. Manufactures building a luxury SUV should focus on on thing luxury period. These reviews tend to like hard riding European autos that try to change the definition of what a luxury vehicle is to Americans. To me a luxury vehicle has to be large in charge with a fall asleep buttery smooth ride and quite as a bank vault with leather and wood trim and lots of chrome with a solid door closing thunk sound. .These guys and girls are partly responsible for the extinction of great old Cadillac's and Chryslers being replaced by alphabet soup cars from both companies riding harsh and looking like shit. They also believe luxury is about lots of gimmicky shit half you will not use and screens all over the place. Mine is about quality of parts quality of engine transmission and total isolation from the road!! Rolls Royce seems to still understand this though they are out of my pay cap lol. If i could i would by a Rolls Royce Ghost over any Mercedes in a heart beat. That is what my definition of luxury is.

    I sat in the third row, and found more legroom than some second rows in other cars and SUVs. I'm 5'11", and my knees never touched the second row seat. And I had good head room. I feel that's the only thing it's got over the Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon..

    • @toyota420xp
      @toyota420xp 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +TheLanard besides better acceleration and a softer ride andn higher towing capacity

      @@toyota420xp People who buy new Caddy's today love gimmicks screens and nanny assistants doing everything for them. Us old school folks do not like electronic nannies

    if you live in vermont you dont want a hard sporty ride. every road has pot holes if paved and if not itsa dirt road

    • @chonasimpson6487
      @chonasimpson6487 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only want a sporty ride if i buy a sports car. Lincoln and sporty ride do not belong in the same sentence. People who buy the navigator need a lot of room towing ability with a smooth ride that eats up highway miles period.

    Stepping out of this vehicle over the running boards is a ridiculous statement. Only 7 footers would be tempted to do that. These power running boards are AWESOME for both vehicle ingress and egress.

    This guy must be a GM guy reviewing a Ford product. Even with any technology the GM siblings get, I'd still buy this Lincoln instead because it's easy more comfortable in every row. Especially in the third row seats! The GM clones, also how that grandma's shift lever on the steering wheel column!

    Spot on with your observations! Additionally, the door catches are exposed with lithium grease on them. Not a classy move - especially if you or a guest were to brush against them; ruining clothing in the process.

      My husband and I have owned 3 Lincoln Navigators and Have Loved every one of them . I wear full length mink ,lynx ,etc coats, long silk dresses never in my life have I ever had a problem with greasy catches . At the cost of my clothing I am careful getting in and out of any vehicle

    While would he say 1978 town car with such dismay .Unlike auto reviews we hate the new ride stiff cars and trucks of today where you feel every imperfection in the road and enjoy a soft cushy ride of the town cars of old. You can keep your stiff ride and shove it lol.

  • @k.ryanhasse8047

    Some of us WANT a vehicle to float like a 1978 Town Car. Too bad most automotive journalists slam a car for having a soft, cushy ride (I like soft body motions!), plush seats without restrictive side bolsters (I don't want a snug fitting seat in my SUV that tows my 8500 lbs boat!), and -God Forbid(!), small wheels with big rubber sidewall tires (I don't want 22 inchers that dent the rims, wear out in 7000 miles, and make the vehicle useless in snow! I switched the 22's on my Navigator back to 18's from an Expedition, with high quality Michelin LTX's that are quiet, great in snow, won't allow the rims to dent, and will last me 50k miles!). These snobbish, biased journalists use the "float" description as a derogatory, with a look of disapproval and disgust (as opposed to simply accepting that some cars suit people who prioritize comfort over sportiness). This is supported by a simple analysis of the top sellling vehicles (Camry, Accord, F150, Silverado, Ram, etc) which all ride relatively well (vs, say, an M3 or other "sports cars" or sport editions of cars). In fact, the sports editions of most vehicles generally sell poorly compared to the comfort editions (in most cases).
    We don't all want a car tested on the 'Ring (James May!!)! Thus, these journalists are not objective analysts of cars. Instead, they simply apply their own biases (usually towards sports cars) to cars that aren't intended to appeal to their bias. My Two Cents :-) (I have a sports car, fyi, towards which this journalist's biases apply)
