    It's not just about having certain players. It's about team chemistry and team spirit and it takes a good manager to do that. Immediately after Xavi took over he implemented policies to change the attitude and physical condition of the team..

      Exactly well said! The last manager had Messi and Griezmann and people talking about Auba, Adama and Torres.... Who all except maybe Torres was having decent success at the club he was with and the legend that is PEP, Yet he saw the project with Xavi and playing with his friend from the National team and being coached by the maestro himself and its been so marvellous to watch this team grown every game and we have not seen the limit of their growth as yet and i can tell you i have no enjoyed my team play this football in years the touches, the fire, the passion, the love on the pitch is all there and Xavi winning 4 and still pushing for more. We got a solid side with tactics and high intensity and high pressing more than any other barca before and the players are enjoying themselves out there and the results keep coming. Our Belief in ourselves is back we will not hang our heads low when going a goal down or if the rival fans boo and whistle us for the whole damn game. We are back!!!!

      Xavi has done similarly to what Arteta did at Arsenal when he first took charge. Changing attitude and dressing room management. The only difference between Barca and Arsenal is that the former has a better squad in terms of experience and individual ability.

      He doesn't work in Arteta's system of pressing and striker dropping back deep sometimes. Whereas in Barcelona, he is the focus point of the attack and has freedom. Worked out best for both parties, Arsenal can use the saved £27m for their next striker signing.

    As an arsenal fan and an Aubameyang fan I'm conflicted..grateful for the years we had him at the club but frustrated that he left under those circumstances. Blame can't lie with Arteta, it's clear this player wasn't putting any effort into his performances..the run he made for the first goal I actually can't remember the last time I seen him doing that in an arsenal shirt. Was supposed to lead by example with the array of young talent we now had coming through to the first team and it was actually embarrassing watching his performances toward the end

    • @JohnBlessed5
      @JohnBlessed5 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Maybe he was not happy... Remember clubs wanted him, Barça had interest in him before he signed a new contract with Arsenal. You all begged him to sign a new contract and can you be honest now you club was in a bad state and that can weigh on a top player like Auba. In my view putting him as captain was a mistakes, it was too much weight on his shoulders to carry a struggling club week in and week out... I believe he was not happy and wanted out and I do not know all the details but I did not like the way he was treated after all he did for Arsenal in the past seasons. I am just happy he is finally playing for a top club like Barça, he is happy again and playing his best football. It was a win win for Barça and Auba with the free transfer. I cannot see him it was a win for Arsenal other than getting his massive wages off their books to sign new players. But Arsenal failed to motivate Auba to be at his very best and so the story ended and his new journey began in La Liga.

    Ancelotti is a humble man, and he recognize that he lost the game tactically from the opening whistle. What he was trying to do was null Barça midfield and have Modric in the middle further up to dictate play and finish. For whatever reason it didn't work and Barça midfield still dominated. He should have kept shape and entrust Mariano or Jovic as striker. Or even try Hazard on the left with Vini in the middle. Yes Vini doesn't have the CF instinct but maybe he could have pushed Barça back or be more of a direct threat on counter. It was a total tactical loss by Ancelotti and he wont let it phase him because, it's is a moral lost in a Clasico, but it hasn't affected their title ambitions..... at least not yet.

    Both parties happy, its rival fans who cant wait to claim salt.
    It takes a completely different setup and ideology to compete week in, week out in the Premier League. That's why Arteta stuck with his system at the expense of starpower. No wonder he gets way more fight and bite from his squad now.
    An aging yet instinctive footballer who thrives on movement and chances was inevitably going to struggle in a constant pressing system, by the time he arrived in the box he'd be too waned out to finish simple tap-ins.
    Happy for Auba, he did his part, won his trophies, and moved on to a system far more suited to his strengths. Arsenal too played their cards right and have cleared the way for further progress.

    Aubameyang is NOT the key to Xavi's Barça. The key to Xavi's Barça is VERY SIMPLE.... effective, high intensity training and TEAM BUILDING & BONDING, working on positioning & movement with and without the ball. What Auba, Ferran & Adama brought to the team are players that naturally can execute the team dynamic. Aubameyang is the same he was at Arsenal just few months ago, but he did NOT have this type of system that gets the best out of him, like it gets the best out of ALL THE PLAYERS ON THE TEAM. Look at Busi, Alba, Pique, Ter Stegen AND SERGINO DEST who all their performances have significantly improved.

So, if they do not win La Liga they are not back to winning, they are not back to their true identity, they are not back to playing how the world know they play? Get out of media! PLUS, it was Koeman who wanted Memphis Depay! GET OUT OF MEDIA! Talking about Pedri is stupid, why? Koeman also had Frenkie De Jong and was not getting this type of performances from him. He knew nothing about man coaching, which is what Xavi has done to improve Frenkie's game as a Barça player PLUS to get even more out of Pedri. Pedri under Koeman would still be that yes best youth player but possibly would not have evolved his game the way he has under Xavi.
