What a great machine and love Saab used to have a airflow Carlson 9000 nearly 30 years ago
saab engines so underated
Looks truly amazing buddy' love it and Saab technology
Balls up the intro 😱 epic as always
Yeah I certainly did Gareth🤦🏽♂️😆 glad you enjoyed it!
Loving this channel👍🏻
Thank you Charlie!
Fantastic 💪😎. Vans on the trend.
Thank you 😊
Trev got a cracking deal getting that off you. Always admired it. Lovely work
Yeah, he certainly did. But he appreciates it and I know he'll look after it.
@@Supershark1908 I agree with you there on both parts. It's good knowing its not going to get ruined and should more than probably be around for many years to come.
@@Supershark1908 Well....the MOT expired 3 months ago.
@@leonardgoldberg2879Trev (the bloke who bought it) has been upgrading the engine with cams and stronger head gasket for more boost so hasn't had chance to do it
That’s ace mark! Bet you go through some tyres 🤣
Beanie
Thanks buddy, yeah it does tend to light them up
Subscribed. My brother sent me a link to this video as he as a mk4 Astra van with Saab turbo engine. And you sound like your from my neck of the woods Barnsley/Doncaster 👌🏻😄
Hi Ryan, thanks for your comment and support!
Yes Barnsley where are you?
@@VannedUK originally Conisbrough/Goldthorpe/Thurnscoe mate but moved near Skeggy. All the best with the channel bud 👍🏻
You too pal. ✌🏻
That engine made by Scania is the best saab engine ever,
Had to subscribe just for your accent.
You should call this Peter key reviews 🤣
Thanks for your comment, glad you are enjoying the content and my accent 😀
I got swingo rs TURBO i will be putting a much bigger TURBO on the pocket rocket and get around 250bhp engine will be sort of standard just a uprated clutch my old 9000 was a real tool back in the day wish i still had it
👍👍👍💯
I’ve got a 250bhp 400 torque mk5 Astra van se being built at the moment
Hi Simon thanks for your comment.... we look forward to seeing it complete!
Do you have Instagram?
Vanned.uk on Instagram
Where you get that bit on bottom of window/top of bonnet from? I want one
I will ask Mark and come back to you
@@VannedUK yeah cheers 👍👍
@@Golly87 it's an irmscher bonnet extension. Genuine ones pop up now and then but are quite rare, however I've seen reps up for sale on ebay and the Facebook selling sites
3.2 or 2.3 Saab turbo engine..?
It's funny how this has the Opel grill, when here on main land (NL) people put the Vauxhall grill on their Opels.. 😄
Its a 2.3, dave just got confused
Yes it’s definitely a 2.3 😜 hold my hands up for that one ☝️
I was just wondering is this possible with any vauxhall car? Saab engine swap.
Thanks for your comment, I think it is with the older generation cars, newer stuff would work but maybe you would have to run a stand alone ecu.
@@VannedUK OK thanks
@@ibukid the older 9-3's were pretty much based on the same floor pan as the cav. Much of the saab/gm stuff is compatible. And most gm gearboxes will bolt to them so it's easier that way too. But they've been put in most vauxhalls
Is that a Saab 93 2.3 engine? And would anyone know if there’s a certain year what’s goes in the mk4?
It's out of a 9000, the later engines are no good for conversion.
@@Supershark1908 nice one mate 👍
Could use b204 from ng900 or og9-3 aswell
@@Sammyboyschnitzel I’ll have a look 👌 appreciate it
@@lewisodonnell234 any time m8
SAAB and OPEL VAUXALL have a lot of components common.
Hello buddy how mych to Finnish the car in total thanks
Hi mate. If I don't include the 1st paint job etc then cost was around £12/13k.
We're so you at the loom kit from
Hi Graham. Will ask Mark for you and let you know
I'm doing my vauxhall zafira you see I won't to were he got the loom and engine mount from what he number
I’m not much of a Vauxhall fan especially after owning a 2.0 CDTI insignia with the worst designed engine in the world lol but this is very nice and I like what’s been done with it.
What is the cost to build one of these
Thanks for the message. Full build 10-15k probably
@@VannedUK nice thanks mate
The Astra van is such a good platform for a daily and fun car. I will probably use the stock engine. But am planning to do a Z20let turbo swap
Your welcome
Agreed. So much scope with those engines. Good luck with your build 🙌🏼
Somebody want to tell me where your buying brand new morrettes from lol
Google morrette headlight shop, they still list them on their website. I didn't know either till someone told me to do the same.
@@Supershark1908 did you buy new?
Don't see a price listed, and when click - how to buy page doesn't load
www.morette.com/products/HEADLIGHTS/OPEL/ASTRA/ASTRA%20G-98%20et%20+/HLASTRAG.htm
@Meandrum, no I bought 2nd hand but checking the website it looks like you can still order them

Get it tuned on road mate make big change on even mpg Dino numbers mean bother in real life
You said 3.2 Saab engine at the start. You mean 2.3 😋
Yes. Sir well spotted.
@@VannedUK Still knew what you meant 😀 but for a second I thought "Oh a nice big V6 conversion" lol then I switched the numbers around and thought maybe just had those back to front. Great channel 🙂
Thanks man, that’s what filming long days in the middle of winter does for ya. Glad you enjoyed it
the b204 is a saab motor not a gm engien
Yes it’s a Saab powered astravan
I swear he’s just sold this?
You swear correctly sir
Haha 2.3 b234 not 3.2
Yes balls that up... 😂 did you enjoy the video
Great video saab lumps are animals
Thanks man ✌🏻
My bikes faster than my van
All the pops and back fireing on some cars sounds stupid i want a car that just goes put your foot on gas and awat you go
