    Appreciated Yamato’s comments on his coaching approach. Would be nice if some of our LCS coaches would operate in a similar way. Also, I 100% agree that DIG overperformed in Spring, and it boggles my mind why they would try to fix something that was not broken.

    2:40:53 "[Travis] will only call people out when it something that is going to financially affect him." How was the potential removal of the import rule something that would financially affect him?

    • @sleepyyam5391

    • @revesbystation8630
      @revesbystation8630 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      This discussion was something that Travis manifested out of nothing and then became a talking point in the community. He was then able to create content around it and interview teams about it. I'm not saying that the import rule removal wasn't being talked about before Travis brought it up but it was waaaaay less material before he did.

    At the end of this year we need a tribunal to judge these front offices for their moves. TL & C9 torpedoing their own synergy. And the #1 offender DIG who not only downgraded their own midlane development project but tilted their own star player off the face of the earth. Truly DIG is gonna get away with the Dardoch fiasco because he’s Dardoch but I swear to god if I thought the front office was sabotaging my own chance at winning I would flip a bitch too. Get the fucking guillotine. Heads should roll.

    I swear everytime thorin says something along the lines of "the "fans" or the "community" thinks X" I am like wait what, I don't think that and neither does anybody I talk to. I feel like most fans don't post on reddit or socials about the game and their opinions on it, it's just the fucked up ones and then these people have this fucked up and skewed view of what the "community" thinks. In reality most people don't actually give enough of a fuck to comment/tweet/post shit online, it's just the loudest, most extreme people who just spam twitch chat with pogchamp or whatever garbage that give fans a bad rep.

    NALCS is actually poor in every regard to the minute you tune in. Poor production, casters who are company yes men, level of play, personalities, style, format, politics of the environment etc. all compile into a heap of mess. There is no content that NALCS excels at except for spicy drama. I am watching a drama show. I would describe NALCS as the most generic esports category when beginners drop by the stream.

    • @juggmkj
      @juggmkj 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sucks because NALCS, years ago, used to be pretty good as far as production and casters...but they never improved and progressively got worse. It's just a bad ad for the game that doesn't get many viewers at this point.

    LMAO @ Monte claiming the term "Battle Royal(e)" was coined by the movie.
    That movie is from 2000, the term has been in games since before then, and even in Wrestling it has been used for decades already.

  • @Sitarman345
    @Sitarman345 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know you're reading this thoorin so please tell me since you care so much about narratives which make sense, if the problem was entirely Jatt and the solution was to get rid of Jatt, then why is Jatt gone and Alphari is still taking a break? Is the problem Steve now because he lied in the press conference? To me that seems to be a much more egregiously illogical passage of events rather than, "if Jatt wasn't the problem then why is he gone?"

    • @allangibson7028
      @allangibson7028 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's assuming that Jatt was the only problem and that the solution was as simple as remove Jatt, you can still have lasting consequences after the fact and it I'd also possible that Alphati did have personal issues that only compounded with the Jatt situation

    • @martijnvnloon
      @martijnvnloon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The break was probably sanctioned by the org as well so they would have to uphold it to maintain the hierarchy somewhat.

    • @Sitarman345
      @Sitarman345 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@allangibson7028 Thorin is claiming this is "the biggest W" and I would say for that to be true he would have to be vindicated in his opinion that the personal issues are a fabrication, presumably to protect Jatt or the org. He pointed out alphari deleted the tweet backing up the decision by the org to mandate he take a break as an indication that he denied it and in this video he is ridiculing fans for believing the team liquid press conference.
      Thorin is even ridiculing Liquid fans who think this is a bad direction for the team, since he believes Jatt was the problem. If Liquid continues to collapse and Alphari does not come back then I dont see in any way how this is a "W" for him in any way aside from it driving up his traffic.
      Not to mention thorin is rejecting out of hand the, I believe, perfectly legitimate idea that tensions within the organization and backlash from the community, which Thorin should definitely be aware exists considering he essentially chose to lead it, would lead to Jatt no longer wishing to be the coach.

    • @Dardobul
      @Dardobul 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd also just suggest: if Alphari's "much needed personal break" comes to an end as soon as the coach allegedly pissing him off is fired, the whole narrative falls apart and TL has to FESS up. If they keep him off on full pay a few weeks, it's much easier to explain to the fans

    • @Sitarman345
      @Sitarman345 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @mcchickenz Thorin seems to reject that narrative which the TL organization is pushing.
