Okay.Jizuke. get this man on more shows please! He is such a treat to listen to and having a laugh. He just seems genuinly happy and amused no matter if its about him performing or not, or whatever. Had a lot of fun watching this episode

FYI, casters can't be on costreams. Caedrel got actively told by Riot to get off Dom's costream last season when he was first starting as an official caster.
Its a pretty dumb rule as riot already has to allow the costream.
Doesn't Caedrel costream LCK?

Jizuke has always been one of my favourite players to watch. My fondest memory was when he was playing for Vitality and basically, he one v two Caps and I think Broxah while split pushing in his iconic Ryze. I liked how he just did not care who they were. I genuinely think he probably has the best Ryze in the west *in pro play*. (I am aware that's a lot to say given that he isn't even the best mid in NA, it's just I have yet to see anyone perform better on it, it's like Bjergsen's Zilean, Rekkles's Sivir)

Really? I thought it was amazing how out of touch it was. He even tried to pull out the argument that if it was just for "fun" (which it obviously was) , they should do it in spring and not summer since it is a less important split. Imagine thinking this is even an argument.

Riot is a lot like old ESPN for the casters. ESPN used to not allow their talent to do any other promotion other than what ESPN wanted them to do. That is the main reason Dan Patrick left ESPN. Y'all are spot on with RIOT has created a prison. Its just like the old ESPN.

Thank you so much for the LCK content. I only watch LCK and some LPL so I can't really keep up with this show. Also, I think Wolf is the best English LCK caster since Monte and Doa. He is very insightful during a match.
I feel thebausffs' showing is taken way to serious. As viewer I saw it as a one time guest appearance to give the broadcast some colour. I would love to have guest more often as an addition not a replacement of professional casters. It gives the pro's also something to bounce of of.
I think similar of this. If Thebaus would be a regular now I would take it with a grain of salt, but as one offs I think it's pretty normal to have these kind of guest appearances. I can also see how the casting was maybe a bit too much (for a main stream cast, having it on an alt stream woulda been better) and having him more on the desk woulda been better, but again it's not like he actually did take away a spot from a young caster. It was either this or a normal cast.

Monte's point on the potential of CaptainFlowers to enable former pros in an LCS cast does have me buying stocks in CF.
It definitely could work. If you watch LEC, look no further than Quickshot's first casts with Caedrel as his colour - he enabled him perfectly and created fantastic synergy.

LS was told he wasn't allowed to have LCS players and coaches on during the LCS broadcast which is why he stopped doing his own post game interviews. I'm assuming that also applies to riots staff.

The Bauffs made Inting Sion popular. It’s where you purposely die as Sion then use his passive where he stays alive to attack turret. The whole concept is you do it over and over it again because they can not match the split pushing power. Of course the pros hate it.

As a 35 y/o mom, i know i'm not LEC's target audience, but i was just not enjoying the broadcasts last week with the streamer. I didn't understand the inside jokes and as a Dutchy living in Sweden, that Swedish accent was just extremely painful to listen to.
I think most people who are "older" esports fans want more of the professional storytelling of a main broadcast rather than the inside jokes that individual streamers provide. This channel caters to that older fanbase, as over 70% of our viewers are 25+. Hope you're enjoying the content

As a Swede, I am almost positive his accent is part of a persona because no Swede of that age has such atrocious pronunciation. That is the kind of accent you make with the boys to banter about being nordic. Anyways, I don’t watch streams so I’ve never understood that culture and traction that can lead up to jobs like these. Disliked the broadcast as well.

Montecristo completely missed Azael's point. He was not salty about potential missed opportunity for himself. He was talking about other casters who put in years of work not getting the same shot. So I have no idea why he rant about Azael not making his own content because it has nothing to do with what he was saying. He already secured his casting position and he's in a good spot in his career.

Didn't expect the Porcupine Tree drop by Monte. Steven Wilson is a prog genius that's far too underrated in the States.
Baus is not an aspiring caster. He got brought in because caedrel knew him and thought it would bring fun memery to the broadcast. He didn't color cast, he joined in an existing broadcast duo. Caedrel invited him and was aware he'd have to balance the cast and keep it on track.

I think its fine, that the bausffs was on a single LEC Stream. Its like when Ex Pros/Pros/Celebrity come to an traditional Sports Cast. He was not an Expert, but just a funny well known guy.

Monte seems like he can't give credit to a really inconsistent T1 for winning a series against a team they've been trying to beat for a while.
Im assuming they got thebausffs in,cause he was perceived as entertaining on his stream and might be a fitting personality - i rarely watch the streams anymore,but the "solobolo" section was kinda entertaining,for like 5 seconds,wich is more than the 0 seconds i was interested in before^^
I disagree on the first topic with bringing popular streamers on the broadcast - if it stays like it currently is in context of LEC. Currently its something rare and they are just there to bring something fresh and to some funny remarks. (If they are able to bring real analysis thats even better of course but Im not expecting it) LEC is generally wildly rotating in casters and guests so it didnt feel out of place to me.
The cast was also basically just a normal duocast from Caedrel and Drakos and and it seemed like they gave Baus a signal/cue when it was his time to speak. Was handled pretty well imo.
It should never happen in a playoffs series though.
Porcupine Tree are legends but have you ventured deeper into the metal hole. Classics such as Scenes from a Memory by Dream Theater or the new prog metal guard of Haken and Leprous. Highly recommend. (Coming from a Pink Floyd, Crimson, Genesis, Supertramp, ELO aficionado) Concept albums are the way to go.

Thorins roast of breaking bad is extremely cathartic to listen to. A few good moments spread out over a disgusting amount of padding.

What Monte talks about at the end with sports merging with esports, I don't think that is actually what ppl want (certainly not what I'd prefer). The whole advantage of esports is you don't need physical traits (besides hand eyed coordination) to be competitive. The moment a game is changed by your real life height, strength, etc. it is no longer a video game. Also, you know how impractical and tiring it would be to lift a fake gun and point it around your room to play an fps game? I don't want to get a physical work out playing video games, if I wanted to I'd just play a real sport lol.
To his point though, there might be a new, sort of in between genre of physical esports where everyone puts on the body suit and headset or whatever and has to run around to move their in game characters. That would be cool, but if anything that would just replace ball sports and we'd see all the athletes jump ship, not the gamers.
Its funny how since bausff made that joke on promisq, that from now on all people will remember and cite is that joke. Not his casting or his analysis work but a meme. Feels like baus played himself.

Well tbh TheBauffs 1 time LEC appearance did bring in a lot of traction (views....clips....this), much more than some random caster who wants to cast for a living. If riot wanted casters or veterans they would get them, this looks like a one time meme that brought laughs and views.

You can't say that people like doublelift don't know the scene. Pro players are people that have been inside the system in and out. They obviously know the scene very well, and likly have deeper perspectives. I feel like even if thorin has been to 60 CSGO tournaments (league only has 2 tournaments a year which already invalidates his point), he is still simply a spectator and relies on narratives to carry the broadcast.
On the Bauss topic...I think he was a bad addition to the cast, but he was decent on the shows in between

Only problem I had in the day THebausffs was in LEC is that he added nothing. They spent the time talking about his character on stream and the terms he uses. Instead they should have focused more in taking from him champions that are underrated, knowledge, the evolution from the patches, current meta. Instead it was just a cringe fest.

Sucks that LCK and LPL fans can’t watch this and understand the industry better. That way blaming only coach or players or system only. It’s a quite complicated issue that things are connected and need some better systems overall. Fair to players but also to coach and director. Fans easily go for players and coaches become the victim most of the case. Faker is one and only player who isn’t just a player but also, coach, director, team itself, and industry. ironically his perfect fading-away and stable system landing spontaneously would be the best scenario. Yet without story and hero, league doesn’t give you any fun nor excitement. Whoever leading the league must consider all of this. Or league will be a league for small group of nerds.
Caedral streams with Baus and basically chaperoned his guest spot. I am pretty sure Caedral would know if Baus is qualified to analyze pro games. They probably pitched Baus as an alternative POV to win games as he plays off meta lane losing champs in top and wins through cheese and macro.
Baus was also a sub on the same 2019 G2 team Promisq filled in for Mikyx on, so I would not take their beef too seriously.
