Lol unless your running a turbo , all you did was give your car less power … you want a muffler for N.A cars You get nice loud sound with just a test pipe or aftermarket less restrictive catalytic converter
Is that your fuel pump that makes those struggling sounds when you first turn on the key? Exhaust sounds decent, that initial sound seems like something about to fail though. Side Note: I had almost forgotten about this last generation of Eclipse. Well I guess it’s not the last since they now brought it back as a damn crossover, but i typically think of the 3rd gen as being the endgame Eclipse and never think about this body style. They don’t look bad IMO but I’m a function over form guy at heart so I’d take an awd 1G with a 4G63 and an auto to build up over any other Eclipse ever produced.

His is the inline 4. I don't have the eclipse, but I have an outlander with the same exact engine. Even with a cat and resonator the 4g69 sounds beautiful. I've noticed certain muffler tips changing the sound a decent amount, so try experimenting. Just don't straight pipe. If u do, it sounds like dog water when at idle/low rpm
It sounds nice I just have a muffler delete it’s quiet at idle and not loud enough that cops will pull you over but you can hear it I’m planning on getting a Paradox Hot Tamale Performance Muffler sometime down the line

My eclipse makes the exact same sound so i think its normal
