    I think I like the pro series the most. It provides the bite and throat, but without causing half the neighborhood to hate your guts. I find it suits my taste the most, as it provides a clean sound, without an overbearing sense of power.

    Big 3" single. Flowmaster 2 into 1 merge, Flowmaster
    Pro straight thru muffler, with a Flowmaster Super 10 as a resonator.
    88-95 GM TBI cars and trucks respond real well to delete Y pipe and period cat. Replace cat with modern hiflow or not. This mods good for + 10 to 20 whp at any rpm and +1 to 1.5mpg at the pump. Sounds great!

    ive got a stock 4.7 in my jeep. ive got the super 44 on it. sounds really awesome. i just went here on youtube and typed in my type of engine and vehicle as close as possible. and listened to all different brands and models. i doubt that you could go wrong with a super 44.

    Had a SUPER 44 installed on my 2018 TAHOE 5.3......Sounds F*****G SWEET!!!!! The 8-4 cut in used to just activate on the freeway in 6th gear....after the STOCK crap removed and the new pipes installed, the 8-4 activates in town now as well. The engine likes the change!

      Ed White but it still sounds amazing right because I am deciding if I want to purchase them because right now I have the outlaw but they are obnoxious with the drone levels

    • @FlowmasterInc
      @FlowmasterInc  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Outlaw Race Muffler is our most aggressive replacement muffler, originally designed as a muffler for the track. You can try adding a resonator into the system to help lessen the drone. But, as aggressive as the Outlaw is you may want to consider going down a bit to the Super 44 or even the Super 40. You can always ring us at 707-544-4761 for more muffler recommendations.

    I have a new 2015 Dodge Charger RT and installed the Delta Flow 40 series w resonator delete. Sounds awesome for a Father with 3 kids. Aggressive sound on startup, low idle and heavy gas, but very, very mellow when cruising at street or hwy speeds. No drone when cruising, highly recommend for someone that wants muscle sound, but no drone when cruising.

    Original 40 series is loud. I have a ram 1500 hemi 2013 and that thing loud. Not crazy but perfect. No noise in the cabin, but a nice low end beefy sound in low RPMS and the. Calms down in the high Rpms on the freeway. Get the 40 if you need it louder remove the resonator

    This was great to get an idea on the differences. I still can't make up my mind between the super 10 and the super 44. I want volume outside, but less drone inside at highway speeds, so it's probably looking like the super 44. But the sound of the 10, it's actually better than just straight pipe. So hard to choose.

    I had a set of Purple Horny mufflers on my slightly modified 390 FE block in my 72 Ford pickup, and they were pretty damned loud.

    Why did they skip the decibel readings as they got into the 40's? Also, why not show the decibel reading at wide open throttle? I have a 98 db limit at my track, so knowing the difference between the various mufflers at WOT would have been helpful.

    i drive a 1975 chevy luv with the original 1.8 motor. i have custom dual exhaust side pipes and it roars, let me tell ya. its fun when i drive to school but it absolutely sucks when i drive long distance. the noise will kill ya and you can't listen to the radio. in all honesty, i think everyone should keep the quiet stock exhaust but get whats called exhaust cutouts. that way you can be loud when you want and quiet when you want.

    went crazy trying to figure out what to put on my 2014 mustang GT. had it for over a year with factory mufflers. got tired of it being too quiet. finally went with the super 44. has a lot of interior drone at 70 mph. i had to get used to turning my stereo up but im good now. a friend that i didnt tell i put flowmasters on it heard me leave when he was outside one day. when i came back he told me how good it sounded and he didnt realize the factory mufflers sounded like that lol. i told him i put the super 44's on it. he was impressed. told me dont change a thing. i have the factory duals on it and since he said that ill leave it dual and not put an H-pipe on it. save the money lol.

    I have been going back and forth on which muffler to get for a while. Either the Super 44 or the Original 40 both single in and dual out for my 2014 F-150. I have saw two different comparisons from flowmaster inc I believe that conflict. When running this on my 5.0 F-150, which is truly louder? I get louder isn’t always better but I just like being able to hear the rumble when started a ways away. I want to hear it rumble while it’s outside warming up haha.

      The Super 10 is our most aggressive street muffler. If you want the loudest, then the Outlaw Race Muffler would be the way to go. Both options are very aggressive for a daily driven vehicle, but if this is your weekend toy then Outlaw all the way. You can also give us a call at 707-544-4761 for part numbers and pricing info.

    would it be possible to have somewhat of a "double muffler" system with a quieter one for day by day, but being able to switch on on the fly to the super 10 when I want my neighbours to hate me?

    • @FlowmasterInc
      @FlowmasterInc  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it is. Try doing a Google search for "exhaust cut-outs". These are open on the fly systems that allow the user to open up the exhaust system and "dump" the exhaust noise and gases out prior to reaching the muffler. You can also have an exhaust professional mount a more aggressive muffler to the cut-out, rather than running straight to the atmosphere. If you have additional questions please give us a call at 707-544-4761.

      The Super 44 will make a great addition to your Chrysler 300 if you're looking for loud. The Super 44 has a refined, deep, bassy note and is considered aggressive in it's exterior tone. Give us a call at 707-544-4761 and ask to speak with one of our Support Staff about your exhaust options.

    The muffler was rusted out on my 04 chevy trailblazer with the 4.2 inline 6. So reading around a lot of people recommended the super 44 (some trailblazer and some with other brand vehicles). I got one and had it welded in with the stock can resonator in the back and it was not loud at all. So I cut the resonator off and put a piece of straight pipe in place and that fucker is loud! Not annoying loud but just louder than I wanted. A lot of people said this muffler was quiet. Now I wish I went 50 series. But the muffler sounds good on the big inline 6 and has a low tone to it for it not being a v8. I will definitely buy another flowmaster muffler.

      what kind of resonator was on your car? Was it a box style or like a straight through? I personally got a super 44 and its very quite. Think of the sound of a stock grand prix. Very quiet. I was gonna remove my resonator in a couple days.

      shak541 The Chevy Trailblazer has a huge mid section muffler and a little can style resonator at the back. My huge mid section muffler needed replaced to I had a super 44 put in place. With the resonator still on in the back it was a little quiet so I cut it off and welded in a piece of straight pipe and that made it excessively loud but I'll deal with it and I am growing more fond of the sound. Hope this helps with your grand prix.

    What do you recommend for 1951 Cadillac with AT and 331 V8? It is original car, it won't go fast, but I want deep, "burbling" sound.

    Which muffler would be best for a 5.3 L suburban Z71 2008? Daily driven but mostly concerned about interior noise on the highway.

    MoparKrazy: I have a 12 Dodge Ram with a HEMi 5.7L, bone stock and am looking to install an after market exhaust system with increase of horsepower, torque, and overall the high-flo of gases exiting out of dual 3 &1/2 pipes, or possibly 4"s. I am planning on adding a throttle body spacer with an K&N Air Intake System, and my ECU reprogrammed for increasing the horsies even higher. I want to add bolt on's for now, but am planning in the future to cam it as well....continued

    So if u have a 4 cylinder, go for the agressive muffler to even hear your engine.. and if you have a 500hp muscle car, go for the most silent one.. :P

    Trying to decide which mufflers would sound best on my 2014 Ford Taurus SHO with 3.5 twin turbo - has LMS tune so it's past 450 HP and 450 Torque. Has 2.5 inch exhaust.

    • @FlowmasterInc
      @FlowmasterInc  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We offer a few mufflers that are specifically designed for 4 and 6 cylinder applications. The dBX Series and the 60 Series may be good options for your Taurus. The biggest factor that comes in to play is how loud of an exhaust note are you looking for? Because your vehicle is turbocharged my recommendation is to check out the Pro Series line of mufflers. The Pro Series is a moderately aggressive, "straight-through" style muffler, built from 409S stainless steel with a lifetime, limited warranty. The Pro Series is available in 16-inch or 12-inch case lengths, the 12-inch being slightly louder. The inlet and outlets are only available in 3 inches or larger options, however, an increase to 3-inch piping may help your engine exhale a little easier. If a switch to larger piping is not an option, your installer can flare the current piping to accommodate the larger diameter inlet and outlet on the Pro Series. As you can see there's a number of exhaust options available. Please give us a call at 707-544-4761 to discuss which mufflers may be best for your ride.
