Which brand is your absolute favorite?
Michelangelo's
Raos
Anything but Stouffer's
Homemade. Make it from scratch. If I had to choose from these, I would go with Amy's Kitchen and Stouffers.
Banquets
I'm single, hate to cook, and I've found the Kirkland/Costco lasagna to be great tasting and a great value. I divide what I don't eat right away into single portions and refreeze them. Works for me.
I am a kitchen cook but I like Kirkland beef and sausage lasagna! It is hard to cut right out of the oven so I let it sit for awhile be fore I serve it! Not home made but good! Sometime I add more mozzarella on top bc I like it cheesy!
THIS is crazy. I literally went grocery shopping tonight, found and bought a frozen lasagna... This was my dinner about an hour ago. It's a brand called Michael Angelo's. Basic ingredients, not expensive.
Definitely one of the better brands for Frozen Italian food. Their eggplant Parmesan is even better.
Yes, I’ve bought Michael Angelo’s before, and really liked their stuff. Unfortunately, for some reason, my local stores don’t carry them anymore!☹️
Try their baked ziti.
I have a few of their products. Pretty good for the price. It might not be a 1st place item but. It does the job. Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving
I've heard very positive remarks about Michael Angelo's from others as well.
I love Stouffer's been devouring it for. Years
I already discovered #1, however you need to tweak it, Rana is the best, however instead of the meat one, buy the 5 cheese one, then par-boil 2 sweet italian sausage, then deskin the sausage and crumble, 1/2 way through the cooking time, add the italian sausage, and then a light dash of parmesan cheese, finish cooking, YUM! I would compare to any good Italian restaurant.
it is so good, I took one to my second date with a lady, and prepared exactly as I described, plus had 2 candles for mood, lol, yes it really is this good, also did it again for date #5,
as for the meat I will rate it as very good, but the 5 cheese dressed up is to die for!
Stouffer’s is the Gold Standard. Throw it in the Microwave and eat it and you’re full.
Thank God for Stouffer's. Easy and tasty.
It's the worst! No taste at all.
The fact you stick your lasagna in the microwave invalidates your opinion. That is so gross. Zapping a lasagna is not the best way to eat or enjoy this dish. Gross
Bought Stouffers last week on a whim. Next store visit they were sold out except for the family size which was over $20. I likey.
Stouffer’s should rank a bit higher. It’s a classic in the frozen section. Let’s face it….NO frozen lasagna is going to be anywhere near as good as a home made fresh dish. But, in a pinch, Stouffer’s is very tasty, and it’s inexpensive.
I agree, I like Stouffer's Italian dishes in general, and I don't go for highly spicy foods, I like to taste the tomatoes and meat instead of the spices.
@@captainnerd6452 My wife recently bought the baked ziti. It was NOT good at all. Avoid. Very strange seasoning in it. I couldn’t put my finger on it. But we expected it to be as good as the lasagna.
Stoffer’s meat lasagna is awesome. Any other brand I’ve tried falls short. MUCH better than Lean Cuisine for f’s sake.
I need to disagree. Its rubbery and made with cottage cheese. Its really horrible!
The last Stouffer's Lasagna we had was not good at all. Prior to that, it was awesome.
Stouffer's lasagna is my favorite. I'm surprised at the critique. I think the seasoning is perfect.
I agree this is one of the best on the market other than when I make it myself. most families today don't have time to make your own lasagna. so Stouffers is the next best lasagna.
Stauffer's is great.
: less salt and fat than most; firm pasta and meaty sauce. Their stuffed great peppers are great too. Just add small salad, breath, and it's a meal.
Stouffers is nostalgic, cheap and easy. Texas toast, it's not the best lasagna I've ever had. But I do enjoy it.
Lasagna (like pizza & one other thing that people think of) when it's great it's really great, but even when it's only okay it's way better than nothing
You gotta let it rest for a bit so the sauce doesn’t run
That’s the trick. I like to make garlic bread while it’s cooking In between I’m munching on a prepackaged salad when it’s on sale. Thanks 😊
We love Stouffers! Hands down one of the best!
I like the Great Value lasagna. I have never tried Rana or Michael Angelo's , but I have had the MA Eggplant Parm and other Rana dishes. Both companies make really good products.
Frozen lasagna stumps me. When I make lasagna at home, I generally freeze a lot of it, because I live by myself, and don’t choose to eat lasagna for breakfast, lunch and dinner for days on end!
I’ve never had trouble with my frozen lasagna. It always tastes good even after being frozen. So why can’t a company find a way to do it well? It seems like it would be so simple. Maybe I’m missing something?
Because theirs has to survive frozen for MONTHS. Or LONGER!!
Michael Angelo’s slays every time. People think it is homemade. It my opinion, it is better than homemade. Sorry mom.
It's Excellent❤
"Once again, my life has been saved by the miracle of lasagna." - Garfield (Jim Davis). 😋🥘🍝
Personally, I really like Stouffer's Meat Lovers lasagna.🤪
I couldn’t agree more
Totally agree. I can't believe they rated Stouffer's so low.
It's my favorite, and I've had Raos and thought it sucked ass especially for the price tag. Pretty sure this is a bought review lol
Stouffer's is my absolute favorite...
Great Value and Stouffer's are definitely and totally one of the Best Lasagna Brands There Is!
Stouffer’s is definitely bomb! 💣👍🏽
i agree im aacfualy eating a walmart lasagna tonite
@@davidmazza8714 Ain't that the truth there dude! 👍😉
@@paulsimonon7944 Awesome! Me too!
Absolutely Stouffer's,!
People who complain about lasagna should allow it to sit for a while. Any lasagna right out of the oven or microwave will be "loose"..I guess we're just not going to talk about wholesome ingredients, wholesome ingredients are what make the meal a pleasure after eating it..
I'm actually having Michael Angelo's tonight. My fave.
Thay have good taste products.. happy holidays to you 🙏
looks irresistible😋😋😋
I keep Stouffer's Lasagna with meat and sauce in my freezer always...just saying
Great Value lasagna is so good! It tastes much better than the other ones!!!
I usually make my lasagna homemade but Stouffer's has been to he only one I've tried. From all the comments I guess I need to try Great Value.
Give it a try. Much better than Stouffers to me.
TY Mash
I found Rana lasagna recently, it's actually pretty good. It's in my fridge right now. I've had Stouffers, it's not so bad, but it can be hit or miss, depending on package.
Stouffers the best, no doubt in my opinion,I’ve tried them all over years
The giant trays of Store Brand Lasagna are the absolute best value out there to feed a family without a lot of fuss. Not gourmet or anything, but very satisfying especially with salad and bread. Can feed a solid size family for about $20.
I got a couple Wal-Mart (Great Value) Lasagna’s. I thought it was horrible. I am not a picky eater, but didn’t end up eating the second one I bought. I just can’t imagine that there were lasagna’s on this list that were worse. That is scary.
Marie calendar’s 7. Stouffer 7.5 .Lean Cuisine 4 .Great value 5.5 Amy’s Vegan 7 .cali flour 7.5 . Michael A . 7 . Rana .9.
Great ranking.
Please stop citing reviewers on various websites. They all simply want to be noticed, so they will say the most outrageous thing that can think of. Saying any lasagna tastes like Little Caesar’s pizza is just angling for clicks. I’ve never had Great Value lasagna, but I can’t imagine why you would place it two spots ahead of Stouffer’s, and then proceed to trash it using amateurish online reviews from people who probably just want to get noticed.
STOUFFER'S IS THE BEST MY ITALIAN FRIENDS USE THIS
Rao’s too runny? Mine was rather dry. Their pasta sauce and soups are amazing tho
I love Rao’s frozen meatballs an Chicken parm, but I agree that their lasagna is way to runny.
Glad that you reviewed Kirkland (Costco) brand. Very good, reasonably priced, and you get two containers.
So... It might be an idea to look at the ingredients before you buy
Costco and great value are very good
Stouffer's is my favorite, i tried Michael Angelo's twice and the meat had gristle in it.. never again.
The Great Value lasagna is pretty good, I add a little extra cheese
Rana's Is my choice and is my only go to. I have tried others like Stouffers but they usually add way too much salt.
This was confusing to me. Ranking meat and veggie lasagna together gets confusing. How about ranking them as separate dishes which is what they are? Many of us could care less about veggie lasagna so include it in a different video or rank it without mixing it all together.
Traders Joes is my favorite
I make my lasagna with a pound of part skim mozzarella, a pound of 93% lean ground beef, and a pound and a half of 1% milkfat cottage cheese. (I put the cottage cheese in the blender to give it the consistency of ricotta.) I use a one pound box of noodles.
I did the math:
calories 335
fat 10 gms
carbs 28.5
protein 32.6 gms
I use either canned marinara or homemade with home grown tomatoes and seasonings, which is where the flavor lurks
I have not found a lasagna that matches the nutritional quality of what I can make myself.
I wish this video compared nutritional values
Haven't had a lot of these lasagnas because they aren't available in our area but ,I must say, I think your ranking of Stouffers is not high enough. I've had both and I love 'em. They have great flavor and spices sre perfect.
Stouffers #1
The only one I have had is the Kirkland and while not nearly as good a home made it isn’t bad. It definitely lacks ricotta cheese, but otherwise it tastes good.
Stouffer's went down hill a long time ago. Moral 101 make your own so you won't get disappointed.
Don’t talk about my stouffers like that lol, Stouffers always has and always will be my gold standard for frozen lasagna
We might be able to try the Kirkland lasagna at our house, IF we go to a Costco that's relatively close. What about the house-brand frozen lasagna at Aldi, though? That didn't appear in this video at all, and it's a lot more accessible to me that Costco products (and just as accessible as frozen lasagna from Walmart, since the 2 nearest Aldi stores to me are next to the 2 nearest Walmarts).
The Kirkland lasagna is OK. Not the best out there, but we buy it, we eat ot and we enjoy it. My biggest problem with frozen lasagna (pretty much across the board) is cook time. But it's tasty, and it's reasonably priced.
I'm Italian .....I have to make my own!!😘
I shop at Shop Rite their make fresh lasagna daily I get them and freeze a couple plus stuff shells and manicotti
Costco makes a good lasagna.
Lean Cuisine lasagna hard to find.
My husband has gout. No cauliflower at all.
Stay away from the Stouffer's and you will be pretty much OK with most of these
Stouffer's has been my go-to for decades. Do not like Amy's at all--can get mushy. No Trader Joe's anywhere near me.
I love Basilies best chicken lasagna.
Ever try Simek’s
This lasagna isn't nearly as bad as this womans voice.
Stouffers is the best of the typical grocery store lasagnas. Most everything else has liquid in the tray after it's heated, wlhich is awful.
Hmm, lasagna. I just had some last night, but mine was from a local Italian restaurant that makes their own lasagna. I do like Kirkland Signature's sausage and beef lasagna, but making it homemade is honestly much better. I made Tasty's lasagna from Tasty 101, and it was absolutely amazing! But it is very time consuming, so I might have to try Giovanna Rana's sometime.
I haven't seen their recipe, but when making lasagna at home, I don't pre cook the pasta. (I use the boxed kind) cuts down on the prep time. So delicious.
Bottom line is make your own and freeze portions.
I bought the Stouffers chicken tamales…..it has NO chicken at all, period. I wasn’t happy, when I contacted them, they never got back to me.
Stoufers is best but a noodles are too thick
Ray O's?
I go to mom's for pasta.i phone in my order like ordering pizza. what ever I wanted.baked ziti is my favorite meatballs too.yum yum.
How about Anglo Micheall Italian lasagna
best frozen lasagne was stouffers vegetable. used to have single or double portions, now just super large family portion. other than that the rest rest suck
I agree! But I think the flavor of the family size is better than the small size.
I just looked on Walmart's website and reviewers gave Rana's a 3.5/5.0 rating. Not a ringing endorsement imo.
you missed the veggie lazona
Stouffers meat lovers is 💯btw a vegan lasagna has no room on this list this just threw your rankings out the window
Stouffer's vegetable is my favorite. I'm Italian. None of them taste like mine.
I agree about Amy's--they are the best of the bunch, but have become way too expensive for the portion provided.
With no boil noodles it’s almost just as easy to make your own lasagna
Stouffers does taste like Chef Boy Ardee!
Stouffers is the shizzzzz
Worst to best frozen lasagna??? I make homemade every time and never had it frozen and never will.
I prefer Costco's!
The best lasagna I've ever tasted is my own..
Lol just keep adding your own sauces
I favor costo kirkland meat lasagna not italian sausage version..
Best Lasagna ever Rana meat Lasagna
Strangely, it wasn't mentioned, but the On Cor one is both cheap & fills a guy up. I'll stick with that one. Their Veggie one was terrific, if they even make it anymore. 🍝
When we were young, my mom bought it a lot. I love it. For me, it's nostalgic. They sell it at my local Food 4 Less.
Stouffer's Meat Lovers.
Note: Campbell’s bought RAO’s brand of grocery goods in 2023….here in 2024….so far we haven’t seen a reduction of quality in their lasagna, nor their excellent pizzas. Avoid the RAO’s frozen chicken parm, whoever is producing it!!💕
Copyright infringement?????
This is a sponsered lost so NOT UN BIASED
I make my own :
I use my kitchenaid and its gadgets and it turns out perfect
COLEY FOLEY ENDORSES: FUCKIN "RAO'S"... (ALMOST AS GOOD AS HOMEMADE...)
And this is why im not subbed. The best you suggested was a califlower fake meat thing Please.....
Well these reviewers need to check their taste buds, the best one out is stoffers the family size one, hands down the best. Have not tried kirkland and there is no Rana out here.
🍝
Great content but her vocal fry at the end of every sentence was like nails on a chalkboard. 😖
I found Rana horrible. Threw it out.
Rana is fresh, not frozen.
This lady is wrong in so many ways in my opinion. Try some of these brands as I have. What does she expect
It's a frozen product. It's not from a Italian family's kitchen
This little girl speaking who must be all of 8 years old according to the tone and attitude is highly annoying.
