@@MechaGaikotsu I'll save you some time. You simply can't. I'm but a small blip on the Gunpla TH-cam world and Bandai, Sunrise, and everything else is on top of nearly everything. They will region lock your content and it won't be accessible to everyone.
I began this hobby back in July 2021 and have completely immersed myself in every gundam anime and I have probably spent an unwise amount of money scrounging for kits I want. I really hope that this hobby gets back to its more thriving state soon so some kits just aren't impossible to get or paying triple the retail price. I love your videos mecha they have proved an invaluable asset on this journey that I see myself on for a long time thank you!
I've just finished building my RG Hi-nu and the hype is definitely real! Can't wait for the next RG line. I really hope Bandai release more RGs this year. It's my perfect type of gunpla line.
@@scrotor189 yea the only real downside of RG is the size unfortunately. But I kinda like small-sized gunpla tho. It gives the illusion of more intricate details, especially with the Real Grade decals :D
the theme for this year was quality over quantity.. designing and making plans for the kits as well as the problems you mentioned IRL probably compounded the number of kits released but with an actual mountain of backlog I'm not complaining.. looking forward to another great year from the channel Mecha G!
Bandai could take it slow on Gunpla nowadays because they have so many other lines to work with, like FRS Kamen Rider/Digimon/Dragon Ball, Shokugan Model Project, etc. Gunpla isn't the only one that could make money, so they don't have to push the quantity and could focus to increase the quality
I've had a HGCE Strike Freedom sitting on my storage for nearly three years. Always procrastinating on buying nippers, sanding paper, and other tools. Now after finishing the Strike Freedom and posing it I'm in love and have been tracking the best Gunpla I can get to finally start my Gunpla collection. Already ordered my very first Master Grade Freedom v2.0 and was so captivated by your review of the MG Wing Zero EW Ver Ka that also ordered that as well. After seeing this.....dear God. This has been such a crazy year for me! I renewed my absolute love for GunPla, and I build so many Kits last year! Also, build my first ever CUSTOM! Made a 30MM Kit look like SEPHIROTH!! Made it for a contest build, TOOK SECOND PLACE!! Also build my #1, the Wing Zero Custom Ver.Ka!! And this year will be crazy for me as well!! My second Custom Build, and another MG that was in my list that I’m going to build soon. MY LOVE FOR MECHA IS STILL ALIVE!!!
look man. I gotta agree with you on the RG Hi Nu. Every time I look at it. I feel a sense of satisfaction that I can’t quite get with my other kits that I own. Its not a Model kit. Its an experience worth every penny, every second spent putting it together. even posing it made me smile in ways I thought wasn’t possible til after the pose was finalized. I love this thing
Try the MG MK V. I got the same feeling building it. It is absolutely my favorite kit of the year and I’m surprised he didn’t mention it. Maybe because it was a PBandai release

Being relatively new to the hobby, after a few RG kits, it's already steadily becoming my favorite line. And with all of the improvements the line has been seeing over the years, it only makes me more and more excited for each new announcement. RG God is my first model kit preorder, and I couldn't be more excited about it.
Real Grade is not affordable at all, a good RG would cost a regular MG size gunpla, and in terms of size and weight, Mg is definitely more worth a penny for the spend than RG. but RG just beat MG in terms of mechanical design and higher articulation than MG can have in nowadays. MG is going simpler and simpler while RG is getting better. Bandai had switched their core business to 1/144 size
Oh you resolved it? MG Virtue is nice for last year...but then the zeong and hi-v rg are also good...but if you asked me what's overall best plamo from Bandai including non-gundam from last year, I'd say it's the 30ms and trychaser 2000
Dude, that outro really got me. I had a rough 2021, probably the roughest year of my life. Our family business was wrecked by the pandemic so I was broke for most of the year and I also lost a family member. Things are thankfully turning around since last month and you're right, it looks like 2022 will be a breakout year me. Lot of big plans ahead financially and personally. Thanks, man. I've got my RG hi nu on the way and I can't wait to build it, the details on it look absolutely amazing. That being said, despite shortages, the rollout of kits in 2021 has been small but the builds and suits they chose have been great, the hg xi is gorgeous, mg virtue is amazing and the rg TV wing was a nostalgic build for me being the first gundam I ever saw and the RG does it so much more justice over the MG, looking forward to what 2022 will bring
What I love about the rg hi nu is that it really captures the bulkyness of the original novel design and with the colors of the later redesign and I think combined makes the best looking hi nu I ever seen.
Joined the Gunpla crazy train in December and immediately became entranced. Built through my first MG and 2 HGs but when I saw the HiNu I desperately wanted it and somehow found and bought it for $55 for on GameStops website the day after Christmas. I’m waiting until I get a better nipper before I crack that bad boy open. Thanks for making epic/detailed and unbelievably consistent reviews! Best of luck this year!
2021 was definitely a lean year for Gunpla. But what we got were mostly really high quality. But P-Bandai was jam packed. 3:14 HG MSB-GH03 Gundam Helios is a great choice for sure. It's a kit bash of HGCE and HGAW kits; all of which are relatively new. 6:09 FM GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam is 1 that I need to get. 9:27 HGUC MSN-04II Nightingale is a CHONK kit for sure. It's too bad it fell victim to scalpers and apparently still does. There's the RE 100 version though. 12:06 HGCE GAT-02L2 Dagger L is a nice release; especially those who are really into grunt units. 14:52 RG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam is a really good kit from what I hear. But what I want is a new version of MG XXXG-01W Wing Gundam EW. 18:12 HGUC RX-105 Ξ Gundam is definitely a mega CHONK kit. 21:16 MG MVF-X08 Eclipse Gundam definitely came out of nowhere. I don't have much feelings for this but it's unique looking. There are other SEED/SEED Destiny kits that could use an updated MG so I think that's partially why some are upset with this. 25:05 RG MSN-02 Zeong as definitely a surprise kit. I'm more surprised that we don't have an RG MSN-02 Perfect Zeong yet. I'm sure fans are eagerly awaiting for it. 28:00 Not surprised that MG GN-005 Gundam Virtue is so high up on this list. Of course Bandai will make a new Season 2 line up. The question is if we'll get a new MG GN-001 Gundam Exia to match the quality of the other new MG 00 kits. 31:20 RG RX-93-ν2 Hi-ν Gundam is an excellent choice for number 1. All that's left is for Bandai to announce RG FA-93-ν2HWS Hi-ν Gundam Heavy Weapons System Type. Is it already the 10th anniversary of this channel?! 😲 Congratulations! おめでとう！

When the pandemic started I started working from home and was extremely bored becuase I was just working and playing video games and sleeping but for some random reason I see on my TH-cam feed Mecha Gaikotsu zeon rg review... No idea what it was I watched it and I thought it was an interesting hobby, now I watch all your reviews and I'm happy to say I have 10 awesome kits with me and plan to keep going, thank you for opening the world of gunpla to me, you're awesome!
It's very nicely presented with both kits and pilots to get known with. How could i forget RG Zeong after thinking of MG Eclipse and Virtue. 😍 Now for the wish list Bandai should make: - An RG Kshatriya - An MG Flag - An HGFC Dragon Gundam ( but still busy for HGAC Shenlong) - An MG Gusions ( like Virtue and Nadleh ) 🤩
Thanks to your videos I've gotten into gunpla recently. My first RG kit was the Wing from this year (my 2nd kit after the hg Rx-78 2). My 3rd kit was the GM GM and I'm currently building the Origins Char Zaku 2. I've got a Hi V waiting for some long down time. Thanks for all the great reviews!!
No surprised Hi Nu come in first. He was literally masterpiece of art ever exist in world of gunpla. The only downgrade is (i'm agree with Mechagaikotsu here) the gold and silver not as good as you want or expected, and the scale is not accurate. But it was no big deal since they(bandai) give you a masterpiece of mecha model that you won't regret buying one.
Apparently what everyone thinks is supposed to be gold is supposed to be metallic orange according to the color guide which is apparently why it looks so weird to everyone
I gotta agree with this year's top 10 choice, as I have 3 of them from this list (Nightingale, Dagger L, Hi-nu). The RG hi-nu gundam is the best gunpla I've built so far, now I'm excited for this year's best kit (RG God Gundam... I'm calling it right now)
Almost all the gunpla kits I ordered back in May 2021 have arrived (1 still backordered and 1 sitting in my virtual warehouse) along with the large number of bases I ordered back before winter. With 8 of my 12 total kits built, 7 of which are on display (curse you RG Justice!), I've come to realize that I need a dedicated space for these things. Space I may not have in my apartment. Still, I've fallen in love with these things, and may have to expand beyond my original goals for the collection.
Thanks for the year end review! For the #9 calamity gundam aesthetics at 7:05, the first thing that I saw was that white part sticking out of it's groin.

I just got the eclipse from Christmas, but had to bring it home on a plane from Michigan. Took me a day to realize one of the ears snapped off at the top. Almost cried 😔 love that thing soooo darn much
I got the special edition entry grade RX-78 in the icy winter colours. I love how it all went together even if I put the knees together backwards first. It's way more articulated than I was expecting. Especially the feet. I bought it because of how much you enjoyed the previous version of it. I love the SD sized stuff because they are just ridiculous but the rest of the entry grades are a nice as the RX-78, I'm definitely going to fill up on those too.
Before buying a new kit, I decide to watch your video to see if it's the right thing or not hahahaha. You are a starting point, personally, to make the decision to build and above all, have fun when building
This is my one place for admitting to the larger world that I don't get the hype for the Nu gundam and especially the Hi Nu. I'm not talking about the kits, the Hi Nu looks amazing in terma of articulation and features. But I just don't like the design, it looks so plain, the blue and while doesnt strike my fancy at all. I mean I love that everyone is enjoying this kit so much and I in no way want to devalue anyone's oppinion on that, since you like what you like. I just don't seem to get it... Dunno man, I just wish I had a HG Nightingale xD
Well, I got a new job this last year and for the first time I've been able to buy Gunpla regularly. Although I'm pretty slow to build them still, it seems. I've gotten a bigger backlog of kits in the last few months than I've had for 10 years. And thanks to a local-ish hobby shop that occasionally carries P-Bandai, I've fallen in love with the Advance of Zeta HG line. I think out of the kits I built last year, my favorite is the AoZ Hazel Owsla Mass Production Type. Yes, it's based on a very old kit (the HG Hazel Custom is how old now?!) but it comes with so many display options! Hazel Custom, Advanced Hazel, Primrose, Hazel Owsla MP Type... and those are just the canonical variants you can build right out of the box. I even tracked down two Hrududu and the Hazel II so I can build both Hazel-Rah forms and the official configuration of the Hazel Owsla. Sure, the Wing Zero EW ver Ka is a very technically impressive kit, and it's also super nostalgic for me, but by technicality (I only got the head and upper torso built during the end of last year!) it's my favorite gunpla I've built *this* year. We'll see how high it ranks after I get the Woundwort, Hyzenthlay-II Rah, and Hyzenthlay Rah-II built. :)
I should have expected the hi nu to be number one. Seeing how you talked about it and how good it looks(I unfortunately don’t have one) but none the less it deserves it’s spot as king
Yup theyve built the factory, but it still does not fully operate yet, expect to fully operate around April 2022, that's why the HG Nightngale and RG Hi Nu Gundam became short supply and highly price scalped
My housemate actually picked up the hg command quanta as a present for me from Target when I was having a crummy day at uni. It's a superb kit and I hope everyone gets their hands on it o/

Pretty appropriate that that hi-v Gundam takes the top spot. As someone who is not a fan of remote weapons (with exceptions), i love the hi-v Gundam. The ultimate suit for Char's ultimate rival.

Gundam Nadleeh is about to be released as a stand-alone kit, even though it'll be Gundam Base limited but it means some hope for models such as Gundam Odyssey to be released as an independent model.

When the pandemic started I started working from home and was extremely bored becuase I was just working and playing video games and sleeping but for some random reason I see on my TH-cam feed Mecha Gaikotsu zeon rg review... No idea what it was I watched it and I thought it was an interesting hobby, now I watch all your reviews and I'm happy to say I have 10 awesome kits with me and plan to keep going, thank you for opening the world of gunpla to me, you're awesome!

The only downgrade is (i'm agree with Mechagaikotsu here) the gold and silver not as good as you want or expected, and the scale is not accurate.
But it was no big deal since they(bandai) give you a masterpiece of mecha model that you won't regret buying one.

I gotta agree with this year's top 10 choice, as I have 3 of them from this list (Nightingale, Dagger L, Hi-nu). The RG hi-nu gundam is the best gunpla I've built so far, now I'm excited for this year's best kit (RG God Gundam... I'm calling it right now)

Almost all the gunpla kits I ordered back in May 2021 have arrived (1 still backordered and 1 sitting in my virtual warehouse) along with the large number of bases I ordered back before winter. With 8 of my 12 total kits built, 7 of which are on display (curse you RG Justice!), I've come to realize that I need a dedicated space for these things. Space I may not have in my apartment. Still, I've fallen in love with these things, and may have to expand beyond my original goals for the collection.

I just got the eclipse from Christmas, but had to bring it home on a plane from Michigan. Took me a day to realize one of the ears snapped off at the top. Almost cried 😔 love that thing soooo darn much
I got the special edition entry grade RX-78 in the icy winter colours. I love how it all went together even if I put the knees together backwards first. It's way more articulated than I was expecting. Especially the feet. I bought it because of how much you enjoyed the previous version of it. I love the SD sized stuff because they are just ridiculous but the rest of the entry grades are a nice as the RX-78, I'm definitely going to fill up on those too.
Before buying a new kit, I decide to watch your video to see if it's the right thing or not hahahaha. You are a starting point, personally, to make the decision to build and above all, have fun when building

This is my one place for admitting to the larger world that I don't get the hype for the Nu gundam and especially the Hi Nu. I'm not talking about the kits, the Hi Nu looks amazing in terma of articulation and features. But I just don't like the design, it looks so plain, the blue and while doesnt strike my fancy at all. I mean I love that everyone is enjoying this kit so much and I in no way want to devalue anyone's oppinion on that, since you like what you like. I just don't seem to get it... Dunno man, I just wish I had a HG Nightingale xD

Well, I got a new job this last year and for the first time I've been able to buy Gunpla regularly. Although I'm pretty slow to build them still, it seems. I've gotten a bigger backlog of kits in the last few months than I've had for 10 years. And thanks to a local-ish hobby shop that occasionally carries P-Bandai, I've fallen in love with the Advance of Zeta HG line. I think out of the kits I built last year, my favorite is the AoZ Hazel Owsla Mass Production Type. Yes, it's based on a very old kit (the HG Hazel Custom is how old now?!) but it comes with so many display options! Hazel Custom, Advanced Hazel, Primrose, Hazel Owsla MP Type... and those are just the canonical variants you can build right out of the box. I even tracked down two Hrududu and the Hazel II so I can build both Hazel-Rah forms and the official configuration of the Hazel Owsla.
Sure, the Wing Zero EW ver Ka is a very technically impressive kit, and it's also super nostalgic for me, but by technicality (I only got the head and upper torso built during the end of last year!) it's my favorite gunpla I've built *this* year. We'll see how high it ranks after I get the Woundwort, Hyzenthlay-II Rah, and Hyzenthlay Rah-II built. :)

Adam Savage needs to be either the RG NU or RG Hi Nu. He had a great time with the The Real Grandpa Gundam. But the RG Hi Nu would blow him away.

speaking of the Gunpla shortages I heard that Bandai is building a new larger factory in Japan to keep up with the supply demand.
Yup theyve built the factory, but it still does not fully operate yet, expect to fully operate around April 2022, that's why the HG Nightngale and RG Hi Nu Gundam became short supply and highly price scalped
because of mecha gaikotsu, i have a good collection of gunpla without regrets, and a great hobby while wasting time in this quarantine times
