- STUFFED PEPPERS:
8 Large Bell Peppers, multi-colored
1 cup Onion, chopped
2-3 cloves Garlic, chopped/minced
½ cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
¼ cup Fresh Basil, chopped
1 cup Peeled Tomato, in Stuffing Mixture
1 lb Ground Beef
2 cups Partially Cooked Arborio Rice, or your favorite type of rice (Use as much or as little as you like)
1 cup grated Pecorino Romano Cheese
8 oz. Whole Milk Mozzarella, shredded
16 oz. Peeled Tomato, in baking dish - approx.
1 tsp Oregano
Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste

Who is this lady?
Gina Petitti was born in 1935 in Faeto, Italy. Her family ran a farm in Italy and she met her husband, Vito, in the same town. In 1970 Gina, Vito, and her 4 children immigrated to America. Gina’s husband passed away in 2012, but she is surrounded by a large family, which includes 9 grandchildren, and lives 5 minutes away from her eldest daughter in New Jersey. Gina spends her time cooking, gardening, and being an active member of her local Church.
Where does Gina get her recipes?
Most of these recipes are from what she learned growing up in Italy, but some of them have evolved over time. She has also learned new recipes from friends and family in America. She is always eager to try new things.
Why is no one helping her in the video?
Grandma Gina doesn’t want help! Usually, it’s because we will slow her down or not do it “her way.” For the videos we only show her, but when the camera cuts we jump in and help form the cookies or prep for the next step.
Why don’t we buy her a new...?
Grandma Gina has a closet and garage full of new gadgets, spoons, forks, pots, etc… but she doesn’t like them because she is used to doing it with her old tools. She has fun getting her hands dirty!
Who is behind the camera?
Her retired son-in-law films, her daughter helps her prep, and she usually has one or two grandkids in the kitchen.
Does Gina read the comments?

These are the recipes she was likely taught many, many years ago and cooked for her family, kids and grandkids. Recipes from italy differ by regions, even neighboring towns. How lucky we are that this older woman is graciously sharing her family recipes. She s not f..... Selling these. Shame and disgrace to anyone with no class who is critical. We do have a lot of people like this. The current American society and culture forget and disrespect them on a daily basis. We idolize celebrities and sports figures like they give a damn for us when we should be idolizing our precious elderly. We also are too busy paying attention and listening to Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and unfortunately, TH-cam when we should be spending time with and soaking up the wisdom from our older generation.

Would you consider a cook book? Maybe your grandchildren could do the research and typing and you provide the food to photograph and you give the ingredients and directions. I would purchase the book for me and my 2 stepchildren and any friends interested in the fine art of tasty Italian cooking.
You said only Italian can understand, right? Have you read all the comments and looked at their names ? Are they all Italians? Assuming you are smart enough to recognize it. Now what does it make you? Dah!!! The Lady is so genuine and she learned English at old age the best way she could. She has done a great job. Have you ever tried to learn a language ? Instead to criticize her watch and learn how to cook these delicious food. Probably, you cannot even cook a hard boiled egg....oh but you can speak English, right? I wonder though.

I am 53 years old man from Cuba and I am a very good one cooking homemade Cuban traditional food, I am a nobody if compared with the Cuban grandmothers in the kitchen cooking the good food, I take my hat off and kneel down before ALL the grandmothers in every country and salute them and give them my upmost respect because they are the ones who cook the food in every culture leaving that unforgettable taste that only the beloved grandmothers leave in the food the cook. No famous chef can equate himself in the secrets and art and personal touch of a grandmother cooking the homemade food in every country. I have been cooking this way since my 3 sons were born. I also taught them how to cook. They are now in the professions (medical and dental specialists). They have far surpassed me. None of their wives know how to cook, and would mock me because I cooked “from scratch”. 😁😁😁but my grandchildren love it.

I love how she blessed her dish as she got started...looks like it is to the Virgin Mary/Guadalupe, as her statues are intentionally placed for "back-up" in her kitchen. Her singing, her humbleness, her happiness while making this dish will make her peeps feel healthy and happy. I was taught by Native American grandmothers to always walk away from cooking your dish if you are in a foul mood, it can make you and the people you serve sick. This Italian grandmother makes me want to sit in her kitchen and smile and have a good chat! I def will be making this dish...her way!!

This lovely lady is a ray of sunshine :) Gina your singing and cooking brighten my day. This brings back so many memories of when I was growing up in Italy. My childhood was learning to cook from my nonna and listening to her singing in the kitchen. As Italians we are very blessed to have had a nonna in our lives. This recipe is such a classic in every Italian home and it smells so delicious on the stove. I'm making this for hubby and I tomorrow night and it's like having a little bit of Italy in the kitchen. Peppers, garlic, basil, oregano, fresh tomatoes, olive oil, mozzarella etc ... it's the Mediterranean on plate 🍅🍅🍅
