You know, I think one of the greatest assets of YT is that some of the most interesting & entertaining vids aren't the highly polished, professionally produced ones but simply watching a home cook, a local mechanic, a regional artist, etc. post their passion for our enjoyment. This is a case in point. Thank you for this, I love it!

I never met either of my Italian grandparents, but I was lucky to have my father, a true Italian Immigrant that used to cook wonderful food from Galicano. When dad died in 2018 he had passed his passion for cooking, and recipes you won't find in most cookbooks. Gina Y Pasquale are reminders of my family. Authentic, gentle, sweet, souls. Grazi para molto zuppa, pasta, and other dishes from my childhood. Never stop singing Ave Maria. Ciao.
Gina, my parents were immigrants from the old country too. I lost my mom in 2009 and lost my dad just a few years ago. Watching you brings back a lot of good memories for me and warms my heart, so thank you!

I LOVE her cooking videos, remind me of my great grand, grand and my own mom, with different accents but the skills, talk (no defined recipes) and regular pots utensils, tips on the side, breaking out in song, GOOD home folks ARE the same regardless of color creed nationality etc, Italia Mama makes my day! Now I need to carry on the traditions! 😆🥰😘

Yes, the elders hold our culture. I'm West Indian and Italian. My precious mom is from Guyana & my precious papa is from Udine Italy. My mom could make so many SCRUMPTIOUS things from scratch and the smell floating through the house (like you see in cartoons . LOL) made it so hard to wait for supper.
I am Sicilian and Italian and my grandma past away a couple of years ago. She made some of the best pasta sauce I ever had. Grew the tomatoes herself in her garden in her backyard. I took it for granted back then but I will never forgot those memories and now they are precious to me.

I spent two summers with mine, straight from the village of Venafro. Her voice/accent is so comforting to me. She's got my grandmother's voice, those cute little hands. She even walks like my grand mom. The garden, with the fig tree the tomatoes, cucumbers. My grandmom had grape vines, too. Red and green grapes.
We used to say this prayer before we ate: Bless us, O Lord, and these, thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Gina, you are the only cook online who actually waits to taste the recipe properly before making any remark on it. Truly honest , genuine person! Else most of the chefs on the their show don't even take a proper bite before declaring to the camera that that's the best thing they have eaten in their life. Your genuineness and your simplicity topped with your kindness is what makes so many people watch you again and again and long for more.
Yes I agree! ...Attention family members of Nonna Gina.. Try getting a Cookbook made of your Nonna's old world Italian recipes..What a gift for your family and to Nonna Gina's Fans!......My Nonna and my mother never wrote down one recipe..They cooked by taste, smell and eyeballed everything..That's how I learned how to cook, and still do it that way...But knowing not writing down the family recipes, we always had to guess after they were gone...So long ago I write down all my families old Italian recipes..I did so for my boys to carry on their Great Grandma, and their Grandmother, my mother's Italian recipes to pass down to their children..It's the best thing I ever did with my families old recipes...I think your family will treasure this cookbook, and even Nonna Gina's Fans would too.

@@Binka76 He always talks about Nonninas' minestrone soup but I could never seem to get it right until now! He said, " your love for me reminds me of my nonnas love for me in making minestrone just like hers". My darling feels as lots of others do, that cooking for them is an act of love, as indeed it is. ♡
Our elders hold our culture, I’m not Italian, but respect for our elders and oral histories is so well demonstrated here. Real, wholesome food, song, culture and family values are passed on here. Bless Gina.
Absolutely I agree. 🥰🥰🥰
I am Sicilian and Italian and my grandma past away a couple of years ago. She made some of the best pasta sauce I ever had. Grew the tomatoes herself in her garden in her backyard. When she harvested all the tomatoes and cooked and jarred them which took a couple of days I would be playing video games downstairs where she had a second main kitchen. I took it for granted back then but I will never forgot those memories and now they are precious to me.

I'm Italian. We think that cooking is a paramount part of life. Life without cooking is like love without kisses....even in 2020.....When you come home after a full day of work, meetings, emails and customers yelling at you, you just start cooking and you feel alive, you feel like human....maybe just an egg, but try and do it.....
Her song is a blessing for her family, AND a timer for sauté of onion and garlic! What a treat to find this dear Grandma!! EVERYone should have one !! God bless Gma Gina and all she inspires!!
Unfortunately nowdays people doesn’t appreciate cooking anymore. I’m the same as you.
The Ave.Holy Mother bless our Nonna Gina.
Thats true..cooking can be therapeutic in my personal view knowing what you put in your body is vital and healthy and value for money
@@saspass8854 I always take my time with the prep and kinda trance out whilst doing it. It definitely is therapeutic. I couldn't do it as a job, like being a full time chef, though.

Cutest woman ever...Has convinced me that everyone needs an Italian Grandma...
Agreed!
Paulabella Agee

Paulabella ...YES!!!!
Beautiful lady I love listening to her and when she sings it makes me smile . God bless you
We used to say this prayer before we ate: Bless us, O Lord, and these, thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
So did we! Wonderful memories at grandmas on Sunday. Italian grandmas are the greatest. It's all about food and family. I am only half Italian but honestly, my best memories are at my Italian grandma's on Sunday with all my Aunt's Uncles and cousins.
And Gina is just like my grandma that I remember. Spoke just like her too. I'm 80 and still have vivid memories.

Gina, you are the only cook online who actually waits to taste the recipe properly before making any remark on it.
Truly honest , genuine person!

Your genuineness and your simplicity topped with your kindness is what makes so many people watch you again and again and long for more.
everything she makes looks and I’m sure tastes delicious. Make a cookbook. They will sell out fast. God Bless you
Yes I agree! ...Attention family members of Nonna Gina..
