Jane here. I make bohemian style cabbage rolls and I had no idea they are made in Italy as well, with Italian flavors. They look so delicious; you are such a thorough teacher. Thank you for the video.
I just adore her, and her broken ENGLISH - JUST LIKE HOME !(GREW UP IN A THREE GENERATION ITALIAN FAMILY - WHAT A HAPPY CHILDHOOD!).... WONDERFUL MEMORIES......

I made this for dinner yesterday! My son loved it and that means everything to me. I do love to cook and when I ran into the video, not only did I want to make it but I wanted to keep watching because you are just so great. While making the recipe, I did panic a bit because I wanted it to be just right for my family, but during the moments of panic, you started to sing! It was perfect timing ever time! It made me relax and smile when you sang. I love it. I love the pace of your videos. I love how you speak of your memories, I love your accent, everything! Thank you so much for your time and generosity with your recipes. I can’t wait to do more!
Your son will treasure the memories and tell his kids which, you will be cooking for also one day. It's these little things that we etch into our mind that make it all worth it. Beautiful family time. 😉
Your cabbage rolls looked wonderful, and so complete with your own canned tomatoes and tomato sauce. Homegrown tomatoes make the dish! I've never made Cabbage Rolls, but Grandma, after watching you, I'm going to make them for the first time. Thank you for the song, the memories of your singing brother and the experience of your years. Love you, Grandma.
Hi aloha itsa Lance, I’m so happy to have found Gina. I lost my mom several years ago. Her name was Theresa, Italian from Buffalo 4ft 10 ball of fire. Gina reminds me of my mom and the way she cooked and talked and believe it or not she would sing too. I miss momma Theresa so much and Gina makes it all better.. thank you and I will be cooking these recipes 🙏🏼🙏🏼🌈
I just love Nonna Gina. I have no live family members. My favorite aunt was also Italian and watched her make her Italian dishes. Thank you Nonna Gina you make me smile. God Bless you and your family.
I just love how she uses her every-day kitchen plates, pots and utensils. None of those fancy-schmancy, overly-expensive kitchen items -- and doesn't have super-speed chopping skills -- that the show-offy cooks on the Food Network use. Simple, basic, and where everyone can feel comfortable.
You are such a SWEETHEART 💕💕 my heart melt when I watch you. When you sing and especially when you say "somebody like make, somebody no like no make". Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives. Love you Gina
Gina, you remind me so much of my Nonna Luigia from the Veneto. Sadly she passed away when I was just 13, (over 50 years ago) but I have so many wonderful memories of her - mostly in her her garden where she and my Nonno grew all of their own produce, and of course of the delicious meals she prepared for us and served at her giant dining room table. The way you speak reminds me so much of her, too. Sometimes we didn't use the same language but we always understood each other. She did not sing as you do - which I love so much - but she loved to hear our other family members sing Italian songs around the table. Whenever I watch your videos I smile at your warm greeting and enjoy listening to your stories. I always learn from you - I also love to cook and you have much knowledge and experience to share. I am hoping someday to be able to do make all of wonderful traditional meals you make. I wish you good health, a long life and always a song in your heart. Big warm hugs from Bianca :)

Gina, this looks delicious!!! One day, at the end of your cooking magics, you should show some pictures of your youth in Italy, of your parents, of your wedding day, etc. We'd enjoy that so much.
Gina, I made this stuffed cabbage yesterday (Tuesday, March 31) ... what a mess I had ... I don't think I have ever used as many pots and pans and bowls for any other recipe ever in my life . 😀 You make it look so easy!!! You must know that I am not a very good cook, and I don't really enjoy being in the kitchen, but your enthusiasm for cooking is contagious. I am trying to do better. 💗
I found that quickly washing up the dishes as you go is SO helpful! Good luck in your cooking journey. It gets so much easier when you get used to being efficient and organize your kitchen so everything is handy.

As much as I absolutely love watching Gina sharing, making her recipes, then cooking them myself along with listening to her family stories from over the years....there is something that I enjoy even more. I absolutely love it when she has shared and read her fan mail along with pictures that are sent to her. To see how much excitement and joy that it gives her is so incredibly heartwarming. She is so incredibly humble. She was clearly shocked to find out how many people so love her and have such an appreciation for what she puts out into the world and shares with us. I always used to laugh, because it used to seemed as though she was just indulging her kids in making these videos almost as though they had to convince her how much she had to offer us and how many people would enjoy her cooking, her stories and just simply who she was.... Not to mention how much she would very likely enjoy it herself, in the first place. After the first time she was receiving and and sharing fan mail, I could not have been happier for her. She certainly deserved it and what an absolutely lovely soul. Her Family is most certainly Blessed, as is She.

Simply Heaven... I love to cook too. The more steps, the longer it takes to make... the better the dish. I can't go out to eat & find any better dishes than the ones my husband & I cook together... We spend all day cooking sometimes. That's the only time I let him boss me around...lol. He is a darn good cook & I enjoy eating it all...
Food TV with Lily it’s not really that time consuming. Especially if you have jarred the sauce already as many do from batch cooking. This is the way I’ve always made my stuffed cabbage too. You can freeze the cabbage, but I like it blanched. I don’t precook my meat. It cooks in the cabbage.
I lived far from my grandmothers growing up, so I didn’t know them well. I watch Mama Gina’s videos partly for the delicious recipes, and partly for the experience I wish I had shared with my grandmothers. God bless you, Mama Gina, and thank you for sharing yourself with the world! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Signor Kent , non ne parliamo piu
Luca Brazzi "sleeps with the fishes" - but you're right, how on earth can anyone give this lovely woman a thumbs down!
@@SignorKent yes.. very true🥰🥰🥰🥰
someone with a mean spirit and ignorance would give a thumbs down.
To all the high schools that discontinued cooking class due to no funding....find an empty class room and put in big screen and let grandma do the rest. we will learn much more than cooking from this sweet grandma.....
I LOVED the
"Much More than Cooking"...
She Radiates Joy
Comfort
Compassion
SINGING while you cook...
Find Something that you Love to do and Do it well...
She would be the Perfect Teacher...

STILL Remember Cooking Carrots almost 50 yrs later!
alan chomor what a great idea!!
My son’s high school had home ec and it was required! He graduated in 2013. I wish all schools had it. He learned a lot about balancing a home budget, cooking, and sewing. I still have his pillow he made ❤️
Superb idea...
Everyone can learn to cook if they just want to, it's not the school's job. Teachers are overworked enough as it is.
Jane here. I make bohemian style cabbage rolls and I had no idea they are made in Italy as well, with Italian flavors. They look so delicious; you are such a thorough teacher. Thank you for the video.
Who needs television?
We can learn a lot from this amazing woman!
God Bless you and your family.
Pennies For Dreams - just realized the other day that TH-cam is my TV 🤦😆

Grandma Gina. It is such a pleasure to watch your videos! I can't wait to try ALL of your recipes. God bless you and keep you safe.❤
You caught that; Right! She knows she created a masterpiece! Love it, love her!🖤🖤🖤
Really enjoy watching your videos grandma Gina your dishes just look great and so delicious and full of love ❤️👍
I just adore her, and her broken ENGLISH - JUST LIKE HOME !(GREW UP IN A THREE GENERATION ITALIAN FAMILY - WHAT A HAPPY CHILDHOOD!).... WONDERFUL MEMORIES......
Nonna Gina, every time I watch you it's like seeing and listening to my own Sicilian mamma, whom i miss very much. Thank you for sharing your life with us ❤️
Tess ❤️👍🏻
Tess 👍🏻👍🏻
Grandma Gina I enjoyed watching you cookI watched for first time and l am hooked.Makes me miss my grandma..Be safe. You are special lady.
My son loves it too
Your cabbage rolls looked wonderful, and so complete with your own canned tomatoes and tomato sauce.
I love when she eats her scrumptious food and says "oh its so good" like she is surprised! You are a master chef love your videos!
I just love Nonna Gina. I have no live family members. My favorite aunt was also Italian and watched her make her Italian dishes. Thank you Nonna Gina you make me smile. God Bless you and your family.
Sweet lady! As a Polish American I wouldn’t make them this way. Like she said you make as you like.
Gramma Gina's in her Cocina, singing and cooking in her own special way, we all love to watch her, and for a while the world's ok.
Helene Giansante 👍👍🌸🌸🥰🥰
My sentiments exactly! Love to listen to her accent.
Actually, that is one of the reasons why I watch her and also all the chefs at Bon Appetit as well❗️👏👍🙌☺️🌞
Yes. Just like home! : )
Above all, her accent is sweet!
I save all her videos. Grew up in upstate new york! Lots of memories! She is phenomenal! Just want to move in !!!!!
How could anyone give this wonderful lady a thumbs down?
Thank you for all the excellent recipes Gina!
Thank you for doing this today! The world right now needs a bit of happiness and hope. Love you Grandma Gina
What beautiful song the grandma sing god bless you
You are such a SWEETHEART 💕💕 my heart melt when I watch you. When you sing and especially when you say "somebody like make, somebody no like no make". Thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives. Love you Gina
Ghada Khoury I agree! I also like “You like, you put. You no like, you no put.”
@@SparrowStockwell Yes! That's exactly what my Italian grandma used to say :)
Beautiful words my dear. Bless you
I wish this lady was my Auntie, isn't she BEAUTIFUL!! I watched because I really wanted to learn how to cook Italian Stuffed Cabbage and ended up in tear's when she sang, I LOVE HER, she's AMAZING and What a delicious dish, cant wait to cook this and cant wait to watch more of her recipes

Nonna Gina remind me of home. I am not Italian, but I grew up around Italians. I couldn't stop smiling throughout the entire video. Grazie mille for sharing!!!
Gina, this looks delicious!!!
One day, at the end of your cooking magics, you should show some pictures of your youth in Italy, of your parents, of your wedding day, etc.
We'd enjoy that so much.
I think they should do that while she's singing!
Please do, we’d love it! Almost as much as your cooking!
Pl do, I'd love to watch your photos as much as I enjoy to watch your videos
Yes, please share photos of your youth, family, etc. We feel like we know you from how personable you are in your videos.
Great Job!!! You have to fall in love with your food. And thn every moment is special and magical!! Bon apetite !!!
I have an easier method of cabbage preparation in my video!
Food TV with Lily she said you can vary it to your style adding and subtracting ingredients. You can make it vegan too.
@@vivetkah Yes! You can mix rice with mushrooms, carrot, onion, and celery. You can use any other grains, rice is not necessary.
I found that quickly washing up the dishes as you go is SO helpful! Good luck in your cooking journey. It gets so much easier when you get used to being efficient and organize your kitchen so everything is handy.
I love to watch her!!Gina is a blessing to everyone, and its so nice to see the Blessed Mother on her window sill in the background.Thank you Gina and thanks to your family for helping me learn to cook!
I love how she talks with that Italian accent she is one amazing person
Lovely lady. Somebody knows if you can put the leftover in the freeze?
Grand ma I love how you say olive oil, and it go like this. I find myself saying it go like this. I love you Grandma. God bless
Celeste Solomon I like that you find yourself saying Gina’s words! Cute!
I LOVED IT when you laughed when you first took the foil off! I cried because I felt the love and the happiness inside of you. I will be making these for the Sisters at the Monastery this week - I had to see how the Master Cook does it. I took notes, now I got it! I pray to God I can be as happy as you are. I love you, Gina! ~♡~ THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME. And a HUGE THANK YOU to your son-in-law for bringing you into my life with all his fantastic filming! ~♡~
Grandma Gina, You could feed the world with your skill and love. May God keep you and your family safe during and after the corona virus is long gone.
I'm so thankful for your recpies my husband is Italian and far from home so I love having these recpies to give him a taste of home :)

I am so glad to have found Gina. She is my mothers age and also looks similar to her. I adore watching Gina because it’s as if I am watching my mom in the kitchen, cooking, telling stories of their youth and laughing. I feel fortunate to have found you and making your delicious food. Stay healthy and keep cooking❤️❤️❤️. God Bless

Oh I love the cooking I love her n her singing ❤
Looks amazing! She is the cutest grandma ever, and she makes my heart smile! 🥰❤️
Complete with the old songs she used to sing with her brother! Does it get any better than that?! Thank you.
I love when mamma sings she makes me smile its a feel good feeling
Ms. Gina- we just love watching you cook. I feel like I’m part of your family. Thank you for making these videos and sharing your recipes. We wish you good health and continued videos! With love from northeast TN!

I come from an east coast Italian family most of whom are not here anymore. Watching Nonna Gina is like going home again for me. I just love watching her cook, sing and pray. What a beautiful lady! You bring comfort to so many of us. God Bless You and Your Family.
Love watching her cooking videos. She is so elegant and her voice just draws me in, love her singing also. She lets you understand all recipes as though you were right there with her. Thank you so much and that's why I'm proud to be Italian because of you. Niagara Falls Ontario
God Bless Grandma Gina I wish I knew my grandma she passed away when I was two, Thank You for your Wisdom & Sharing your Recipes.
That's awesome that your husband and you cook together. Wish you both a long, healthy, loving marriage. God Bless.
Yes! that takes a lot of time but it is delicious! I have easier method of cabbage preparation in my video.
Same here. Such a shame we didn’t get to know our grandmothers. Growing up I was always envious of friends who had large families. Take care and stay safe - from one Tracey to another☺️
Love the Italian singing. Beautiful.
Angels on earth do exist one of there names is Gina GBH ❤️✝️
Hi Gina 👋 You make me so happy. I was just thinking about stuffed cabbage and BOOM here you are to save the day. My sweet Russian grandmother used to make this (halupki) in her tiny kitchen. I know this is a lot of work, but so worth it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful video with us. ❤️
Did she make a sweet-sour sauce, and use breadcrumbs/matzo meal?
Now I have to catch up and watch all Grandma's cooking videos 🤗🤗🤗
I love this Grandma. I just started growing my own tomatoes last year and now she makes me feel like I can can my own and make my own sauces. So much better than store bought! Thank you lovely lady! God bless her.
She is such a pleasant Grandma, she's not mine but I learned to love her as mine too!
Great cook and delicious dishes too!
You are so lucky, your grandmother still alive, btw this is my favorite, my grandma was German, how ever everything is perfect... ❤❤❤

Buongiorno bella Gina!!! I learn so much from your cooking shows. You explain recipes so well and you’re very organized so it makes it easy to understand. I can’t wait to try this recipe. Last week I made your stuffed shell recipe. God bless you. 🌹💖🙋🏻
Thank you so much. My Mom used to make stuffed cabbage and I kind of remember how she did it but I forgot a lot and I've been missing it. This is perfect and exactly how I remember her making it. This helps me so much. I lost my Mom is 2009 and I miss her everyday. Making her food makes me feel connected to her and this will help me feel even more connected. Thank you. I appreciate you and hope you are well!

I love this grand lady’s presence. As a Slovak-descended Yank, with a lifetime of living among snd loving Italians, I love this recipe’s meeting of Slavic Central European cuisine with an Italian infusion of technique and ingredients.
I really love watching Gina in her kitchen. Brings back lots of memories cooking with my late mother-in-law. God Bless Gina and her family for making these videos. ❤
My dear “italian grandma”, It is my favourite dish, I prepare it differently, but I am absolutely sure yours will be delicious. I will try it your way.
