    If you out your roller tray into a poly bag and tape it securely underneath it saves you a load of cleaning. Also if you have any amount of paint left turn the bag inside out, squeeze the paint into a bottom corner then snip the corner off you can put it back in the tin like emptying a piping bag.

    Amazing job! Great hack to remove the fluf from the roller is to tape it all around with frog tape. When you remove the tape you'll see all the fluf stuck to it 😇

    Thanks for the video👍🏻 I’ve used this paint this week on my tiles it’s great stuff! I re grouted all the tiles under the cabinets first as the tiles are old and the grout was patchy. It looks good I’m now in the process of painting my cabinets white 😅

    I watched this to see what the colour looked like on the tiles, not too sure about using the emulsion sleeve though. But it does look much better than what the foam sleeve would have done, but you`d get a nice even coat using a good Mohair sleeve or a ProDec Advance flock mini roller sleeve for any gloss work, they are well worth the extra cost but for the short term looks great. But for those looking for a long-term solution as these sorts of paints can blister and peel over time, a good tile primer prevents any blistering, peeling, or cracking.

    • @XO.DianeKelly
      @XO.DianeKelly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try cleaning with warm soapy water. Give tiles a light sand with low grade sandpaper just to remove any oil based products that could be on there. Wipe and dry, then try again. First coat always looks patchy. Always best to do a few light coats to avoid paint running. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching xx

  • @dominiccrimmings6925
    @dominiccrimmings6925 ปีที่แล้ว

    ALL proper DIY people would not use a fabric based roller, they would recommend using a foam roller - not sure where the "it always leaves bubbles" come from - I've used a foam roller on tiles, MDF etc and leaves absolutely no bubbles whatsoever, so maybe the ones you bought aren't any good, but the little kits I use come with a tray, a roller and 2 x 4in foam rollers and costs about €7.

    • @dominiccrimmings6925
      @dominiccrimmings6925 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another tip, which provides a much better finish is to unscrew all the sockets and pull away from tiles so you can get under the edges - taping is for amateurs and you will never get a complete edge - ALWAYS TURN OFF THE POWER but unscrewing them is the pro way to do it.

    • @dominiccrimmings6925
      @dominiccrimmings6925 ปีที่แล้ว

      And to prove my point, if you look at / pause the vid at around 18:39, you can clearly see the top of the actual socket mount has lots of paint on it at the top and the paint has also run down as far as the actual socket pins - taping etc just creates more issues, remove the sockets from the wall to start with.

    • @XO.DianeKelly
      @XO.DianeKelly  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for being such a little ray of sunshine in comments . Ive never said a ‘proper diy person’. I’m just a middle aged woman winging my way through it all and it’s all a learning curve. Drips didn’t bother me, I cleaned up the socket at the end 👍 might be not proper to you but i liked it in end and had fun along the way and when life is too short to worry about any drips, that’s all that matters. Thanks for watching, I’ll be sure to think about using a ‘proper’ diy person next time 😉
