    I think what some people alluding here that this video is unhelpful is that most people know that in order to be profitable a company needs to earn more than spend. What they want to know is how to do the actual pricing the job (big, medium or small) how to calculate the work man hour plus supplies + taxes + markup and still to keep the client happy. his video does not speak about this but does exerts lots of unhelpful word sounds... :( Your other videos are very helpful. More videos like that, and no more videos like this one please.

    • @DJTheBoss
      @DJTheBoss  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      I can understand and respect that. I knew this video would seem unhelpful for some. But I believe it got through to the audience it was ment for. To people who are looking for a quick and easy pricing formula to follow, this video wont be helpful at all. I didnt want to make that video because the economy and markets change constantly. I dont want people who truly follow me to be stuck following something out dated and blaming me for it. Id rather them know how to think for themselves and develop a real business skill. Its great practice for any business man or woman. Literally almost everyones pricing is different. Look up 3 more videos from other youtubers and you will get 3 difference methods and mark ups.

      I always suggest to charge for a completed job. Never hours because customers will try to adjust your price according to hours and that doesn’t always work for your business. Especially if we give discounts upfront for longer service.

    Hi. If I am just getting started and have a limited amount of money to invest, would you advise me to start by hiring 1099 contractors or W2s? I want to provide commercial cleaning services and turnover cleanings (move-in/move-outs) for apartments. I know W2s can be more expensive. What do you think?

    • @DJTheBoss
      @DJTheBoss  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Neither should cost you out of pocket. Your business makes the money that pays them. It depends on how you want to run your business. If you want control and to train your way and your style then go w-2. If you want to farm it out to other cleaning businesses and forget about the training and uniforms then go 1099. But it’s ultimately up to you and how you want to do it.

      that's a weird thing to say without any context. Care to expand? seems like many others have already gotten a lot of value from it.

      I have to question the spelling of “facts” ? Fax is not the way here 🙄…. Pretty sure this statement can’t be taken seriously.

      You mean that anyone can do this with the drive motivation and capital, but the don’t because they don’t have one of those three?

    • @DJTheBoss
      @DJTheBoss  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@EngineeringAdjacent i definitely didnt have capital as a homeless man. But i definitely had drive and motivation. But i didnt start with a dime to my name. Thats y i filmed it. So you wouldnt have to believe me.

      Do spend money you haven’t made. Businesses have to make their own money to be sustainable. Try to only spend what comes in from it.

      @@DJTheBoss yeah I brought thing like insurance and cell phone. im passing out at least 50 business cards a week. getting close to 1 walk through a week. im using my w2 money to fund the cleaning company. hopefully i get a contract soon to get more money flowing. marketing is whats looking like to be the major cost. also i noticed no one does anything for free. everyone wants me to pay for their services to help grow the company. didnt tell me that on youtube lol

    • @DJTheBoss

      Yea im the only one out here like that frfr lol. But use more free marketing my guy. Cold calls and email and content marketing are all free and if done well can build huge businesses.

      Not enough info for me to give a price. Thats y we always do physical walk throughs in this industry.
