The first of this Month marks exactly 1 month since I’ve been in business and I’ve made over 7k! I’m MIND BLOWN by the potential that exists in this industry. Started my LLC for my cleaning business about a year ago. I've got all of my business accounts, the business insurance, a phone number, a website about 75 percent complete. Just need to get some marketing materials like business cards and flyers and some uniforms and put the business out there. I'll admit, it's quite frightening making that first official step of introducing my business to the public. But I'm really trying to put that initial fear aside and just go!!! Thanks for this video.
Brother stop procrastinating- just get going. Starting a business is a trial and error, it’s not always going to be as you plan but it gets better as you go, pricing your jobs will get better as you go. Don’t wait today is the best day to start. I've been trying to start a business after leaving a 10 year youth corrections career. I literally spoke to my wife today about a cleaning business because it is needed like landscaping, automotive, barbers, etc...All these jobs will forever needed I believe. @@JulienTH-cam87 my wife and I started our business PeachesVille Cleaning Solutions in 2016 ended up shutting it down because we got to overwhelmed with clients and we couldn’t find any help. We started it back up in December 2021 and we now have 2 airbnbs we clean and 4 other clients in a monthly/biweekly plan. We are doing it and in a little over a month we are already this far just by word of mouth and Facebook groups. I am planning on leaving my full time job in march! So we can both clean full time and expand. This is my second time watching this video, it is extremely informative and inspirational information.

I have a small commercial cleaning with a franchise that hasn’t been working very well for about six years and now that I’m almost done with my school, I definitely want to put more time into growing my business and finally leave my 7:30-4 job and start working for myself and be able to become an employer that helps others. I love this! I started a simple parking lot litter cleanup business in 1981 as a side gig then grew it into a six-figure business of 40+ years. There are riches in niches. My service is provided on foot with simple hand tools. It's almost as easy to do as going for a walk!

Cleaning is a huge need, I prefer commercial. Less moving parts, and you can do contracts. Sanitation at the work place is a must especially with this plamdemic going on. Great job Chris!!

I am managing a cleaning company that's about the same size as this one, as well as training employees. I have a very high standard of cleaning excellence. My golden question is- how do you train employees to clean with that same level of excellence? It takes much more than the detailed training that i give them. I need a way to communicate that clearly demonstrates the level of cleaning I need from them. Anyone have any tips?
Hey Delilah, This is a problem I face in the warehousing/distribution business. It took awhile for me to understand why I bust my ass and why my employees don’t. Employee’s aren’t typically emotionally invested in the business and don’t view themselves moving up in the company.. for most it’s just a job. Therefore they have a lack of pride in doing their job. You can pay better than market average, treat your employees with respect, and give them above average benefits. This will raise production/cleanliness but will increase costs. I think it is best to listen to exactly what your employees want/need. Just remember, You are a leader and want to increase revenue and profits. They are employees and do not see the same amount of benefit from this increase. Hope this helps.
I don’t have my own business but I do work in housekeeping & have started training new employees & what I have learned that works best for me is to let them focus on one area per day, that way they’re not scattered all over the place & feel overwhelmed & I found that it helps me a lot (not as stressful).
@@DB-mk1hz exactly!! Employees don’t have that same “passion” as you do, as a the owner. To them it’s just a job…Just another paycheck. Better pay, incentives/benefits could be the push they need. I’d suggest talking with them too. Talk to them as a group or maybe individually and see what they want/need. 🤷🏽
You have to set standard in details (checking of areas/items to be cleaned and how clean), and monitor and measure regularly and easily. Train and make sure their follow your standard with no exception .

I am managing a cleaning company that's about the same size as this one, as well as training employees. I have a very high standard of cleaning excellence. My golden question is- how do you train employees to clean with that same level of excellence? It takes much more than the detailed training that i give them. I need a way to communicate that clearly demonstrates the level of cleaning I need from them. Anyone have any tips?
Hey Delilah,
This is a problem I face in the warehousing/distribution business. It took awhile for me to understand why I bust my ass and why my employees don’t.
Employee’s aren’t typically emotionally invested in the business and don’t view themselves moving up in the company.. for most it’s just a job. Therefore they have a lack of pride in doing their job. You can pay better than market average, treat your employees with respect, and give them above average benefits. This will raise production/cleanliness but will increase costs. I think it is best to listen to exactly what your employees want/need.
Just remember,
You are a leader and want to increase revenue and profits. They are employees and do not see the same amount of benefit from this increase.

I don’t have my own business but I do work in housekeeping & have started training new employees & what I have learned that works best for me is to let them focus on one area per day, that way they’re not scattered all over the place & feel overwhelmed & I found that it helps me a lot (not as stressful).
Have them focus on the same areas for a few days/weeks (if working with other team members) or have the best team members train new team members.
@@DB-mk1hz exactly!! Employees don’t have that same “passion” as you do, as a the owner. To them it’s just a job…Just another paycheck. Better pay, incentives/benefits could be the push they need. I’d suggest talking with them too. Talk to them as a group or maybe individually and see what they want/need. 🤷🏽
You have to set standard in details (checking of areas/items to be cleaned and how clean), and monitor and measure regularly and easily. Train and make sure their follow your standard with no exception .
