Que dire ? Pas de mots assez forts pour exprimer tous les sentiments éprouvés en écoutant David ! Ce fût un enchantement ,une évasion loin loin ,un tel bonheur que les larmes vous échappent ,merci David et merci à l’orchestre !

Un des greatest hits de Mozart, magnifiquement interprété par le charmant et génial David Fray, un des rares pianistes à le jouer exactement comme il faut, à savoir le thème chantant AVEC la pédale. (Et, qui plus est, qui nous régale de son jeux extraordinaire sans la moindre grimace simiesque à l'instar de l'insupportable Lang Lang.)
L'audience semble d'accord avec moi. Un chaleureux merci à tous, au maestro, à l'orchestre et pour le upload.
Quelle beauté, quelle émotion, quelle splendeur. Non, mais, c'est un miracle.
Präzise und zugleich lyrische Aufführung dieses perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit anmutigem Klang des Soloklaviers und perfekt vereinigten Töne anderer Instrumente. Der intelligente Maestro dirigiert das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester im gut phrasierten Tempo mit sorgfältig kontrollierter Dynamik. Das zusätzliche Meisterstück klingt auch lyrisch. Einfach wunderschön!

C'est vraiment magnifique, aussi bien sur le plan sonore que visuel ; je n'aime pas comparer les interprètes parce que chacun est unique dans son style, mais j'éprouve la même émotion qu'avec la version Haskil/Schuricht de 1956, vraiment bravo, et merci d'avoir posté cette video ;-)

The work has long been known as the Jeunehomme Concerto. Théodore de Wyzéwa and Georges de Saint-Foix claimed that Mozart wrote the piece for an unnamed French pianist 'Jeunehomme' (French for "young man") visiting Salzburg. This name for the dedicatee is incorrect; in 2004 Michael Lorenz demonstrated that the dedicatee was actually Victoire Jenamy (1749-1812), a daughter of Jean-Georges Noverre, a dancer who was one of Mozart's friends. Mozart had made Victoire Jenamy's acquaintance during his stay in Vienna in 1773.
For somebody used to French laguage, Jenamy may be pronounced "Jeune ami" which is an equivalent of "Jeune homme"
Which means that Jenamy and Jeunehomme were the same person !!

Je reste un peu dubitatif sur la prise de son et le mixage, en effet j'ai l'impression que vous avez cherché à reproduire au mieux l'ambiance de la salle, mais je trouve que l'ensemble fait la part belle aux moyennes et hautes fréquences, il me manque les basses du piano et des cordes. Et plus en entend beaucoup le coté percusif des marteaux et ayant entendu David Fray en concert, je sais que ce n'est pas significatif de sa technique. Cet avis n'engage que moi.
Voilà une remarque de connaisseur, même si l'enregistrement fait perdre des nuances c'est quand même superbe ....
David Fray is either the reincarnation of Glenn Gould or he gets possessed by Gould’s spirit when playing - look at his expressions while playing - same as Gould. Fray was even born just a few months before Gould died.

The poor camera work was quite distracting. Wish they would have used about half the zoom. Made it look very cramped. My back hurt watching him. Sounded great though.

David Fray devient un petit coma tendu, tout comme Glenn Gould tout en se concentrant au piano.
Que lastimó que en mismo tiempo orquesta acompañe concierto de Beethoven, no apoye nada a solista, sonido de orquesta tan brusco
He must admire Glend Gould very much! The chair he is sitted, the posture of his body the faces! a GAME of immitation! And he follows LAN LANG'S SCHOOL OF FREAK FACES when he plays. I cant stand it. Simply that. He is a admired pianist but the way he plays sucks.
You shouldn't look a gifted horse in the mouth, but this concert doesn't live up to standards. I don't know the conductor, but he clearly struggles to keep a steady tempo. I have seen David Frey playing and conducting with presence and style, but he didn't seem to be at ease: sloppy lines, hasty, too much pedal, no sense of tempo, everything muffled, no clarity, no direction. Pas de joie, toujours cette expression de souffrance, une souffrance inutile ☹️
