Just like the original piece. I was listening to see if even a note was off and it was impeccable. Bravisimo Maestro. The Orchestra shined with perfection. The acoustics of this theater is truly what I love whenever I hear a concerto on TH-cam from this place. The space is the right size (not too big & not too small for this kind of genre of music. Cheers from New York City.
He was! And so is this rendition. Though it’s difficult to watch. Too many cuts detracts from rather than enhances the performance. But I’m content to simply listen. 🎹
Gorgeous interpretation! This was the first Mozart piano concerto that I fell in love with and played the second movement when I was younger. At first, I thought that the second movement here was too slow, but the tone and attention to detail that was given convinced me very much for this performance! Bravo!
This is all new to me, but I know I know what I like! 😊 I'm amazed at how effortlessly the musicians make their instruments sing and what an incredible composition of sounds from the imagination of Mozart.
Thank you Eschenbach for nice interpretation of Andante. It is a lovely reverie of Mozart towards his closed and belived friend Christian Bach who passed away before. It is very touching and bears always tears to my eyes .Mozart my love forever.
Many thanks for sharing this video. I listened the concerto No12 for piano when I was a child through an record on vinyl disc, nearly 50 years ago. It is wonderful after such a long time to listen this masterpiece again, especially the 2nd mouvement which reminds me the childhood.
Glad you enjoyed it! :) and what do you think of the performance by Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Ashkenazy? You can find it here: th-cam.com/video/jx-QQI__nTQ/w-d-xo.html :)
Wow. This was the most tremendous thing I´ve ever listened to. I don´t find the words to describe this. Thank you for everyone who was involved in this! :)
Schöne Erinnerung, da ich ( heute 83 Jahre alt !) mit 15 J. dieses Konzert als Studentin des MOZARTEUMS in : Salzburg gespielt habe-- dabei nicht mal aufgeregt war !!😅❤
He would have been aware of his music I guess and perhaps played some of it. I had heard there was some connection through Handel? But I’m probably misremembering. But Beethoven wasn’t a direct student.

i love this early concerto,so joyfull and pleasant...
The maestro is still at his best on the piano.
That bit from 6’14 to 6’30 is magic!
Totally agree, I listen to this piece mainly for that part, sounds a bit like a circle of fifths progression.
@@davidtouzani2107 It is. It's known as Falling 3rds.
Mozart is perfect...

Mozart is an Algebra of math. Everything is perfect and 2+2=4.
Nobody is perfect
A beautiful concert, expertly conducted from the piano as Mozart himself did with chamber works. Thank you for this delight.

An absolute delight - both the music and the performance

Comfort and Grace of Mozart‘s music are off the charts
Mozart is a Great Alchemist of the music
The 2nd movement Adante is so smooth and sweet under the fingers of Espenbach!

It was dedicated to j.c bach which Mozart
It is nice to see the respect the musicians have for Espenbach and how happy they were to honor him at the end.

Bach is the OG. Mozart is the Godfather. Wagner is a Boss. Bruckner is the real MVP.
Che bella classifica!!@ spero che non sia ironica😂❤😂
Anzi se puoi scrivere per esteso OG and MPV così capisco meglio.
Un abbraccio da Brescia Italia ❤😂❤

Some say that Beethoven was the student of Mozart.Any certain info?
He wasn't

Beethoven was a student of Haydn. It is said that Beethoven and Mozart had a meeting.

¿Alguien sabe como se le dice a el sonido que hacen antes de empezar? Siempre lo he escuchado, nunca lo he sabido
That is how they tune. They play four notes and tune to each other before they start.
🎉
What is that sound I hear at minute mark 5:11? Is that a string player missing the tonic?
Yeah
But it is still a great performance right
@@ansonyupiano8829 absolutely, I'm surprised my ear caught it. Usually I don't catch stuff like that unless it's blatantly obvious.
Percy
And Grover
I like the first movie
😂
Classical music always sounds a bit dull to me compared with the glories of Baroque music, but this is a wonderful performance.
Mozart's Piano Concerto no 12 and Hilary Duff's So Yesterday, both of which sounded pretty bad on reed pipes
Percy Jackson mentioned
