    Authors Comments: Twin Snakes was the second metal gear game i gave a real chance to. The first was Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. It was based on how much i loved that game that i gave this game a chance. I guess i did it right, because the ridiculousness of MGS3's bosses mentally prepared me for the more over the top action cutscenes of Twin Snakes.
    Because of that, I honestly prefer Twin Snakes over the original due to the improved graphics and first person cam. But going back today, I do kind of wish they kept Snake toned down a bit so that his exploits are within the realm of reality.... Maybe Twin Snakes is a VR training mission for Raiden.

    That white board and trick room effect is easily the coolest thing you've discovered with this series so far.

    Off Camera Secrets: Silent Hill. Preferably 2 or 3. There are so many things hard to see or even completely out of sight in those games. When does Pyramid Head appear behind the bars? Where does Valtiel crawl off to every time? What's the mirror room look like? What the hell is behind the foggy glass in the hospital? There is a world of possibilities with any of the first four games. Would love to see that!

      These are MY games... love em all to the bones ! (Except that crappy Shattered Memories one..)
      I'd honestly prefer a video for the first Silent Hill which has the most intriguing areas..
      The pits depicting the city getting devoured by the nothingness..
      All areas frost fences are preventing the players to go to..
      The highway where Harry and Sheryl crashed... normal and hell dimensions should both be thoroughly explored. DOUBLE TIME WORK.. Sorry. LOL

    Great episode. Been following your Boundary Break vids since the early eps and I'm really digging how you've polished the format and editing over time. Though I enjoyed the end-of-the-video wrap-ups you did in previous episodes that cut back to live action with you in front of the camera always felt sorta jarring. This ep felt streamlined and even more professional. (also all the editing jokes were A+.) Super happy seeing this series get more exposure and views, much deserved!

    @StrixLuke 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video! The MGS series definitely deserves to be featured in BB. Never thought a simple whiteboard would be one of the most insteresting things in the episode.
    Also, I find it makes sense that the corridor is only rendered "clean" during the cutscene. They way it is the game only needs two models: a bloody playable one, and a cutscene one. Otherwise, they'd need three: gameplay clean, gameplay bloody, and cutscene. Since you don't see it before Gray Fox attacks the soldiers, it's all fine.

    Hey man, just discovered this series, really nice job! Though for this MGS episode, there are two things I kinda think would've been interesting to see closer; first is the corridor before the Rex chamber. It was pretty empty in the PS version but here it's got some water and stuff at the bottom. Also, and this is a bit more interesting, above the control room in the Rex chamber there's some...thing floating a bit out from the wall. It can be seen with the sniper but obviously not that up close. I've got no idea if it's supposed to be an emergency light or whatever it is, or if it's really floating or if it's just a long-distance model that makes it look like it. I've always found it mysterious and interesting though.

    I always loved playing around with Dolphin's camera hack, and the commentary you provide makes it just as satisfying.
    I hope you get to cover Mortal Kombat 9 soon. Also, I did make a camera control cheat table for Guilty Gear Xrd Sign if you'd consider covering it in the future (although I'd equally recommend covering Revelator when that comes out.)

      Wow you can make control cgeat tables??? thats really impressive man!!

      Thanks. It's not as smooth as a proper hook (it uses Cheat Engine's hotkey functionality) but it gets the job done.

      Thank you for mentioning how the camera movements are done.

    4:30 Extremely ingenious because that is basically what a mirror does: it creates a virtual copy of what is in front of it behind it. One of the designers was an optical engineer or just very ingenious XDDD

    I just found this channel the other day.. and I love it! I ended up binge watching all 30 episodes haha. I have a quick question for you Shesez! Whenever I've gone out out of bounds in a game I get this weird uneasiness in my stomach, especially when there is a massive creature or area i'm not supposed to see close up/at full scale. Do you ever get the same feeling, or is that just me? Thanks for the great videos!

    • @BoundaryBreak
      @BoundaryBreak  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Maelstorm. Thanks for watching the series! Me personally i dont get that unease, but lots of viewers like yourself has admitted to having similar feelings when watching the show

      Thanks for the reply! Just as well you don't get it I suppose or this would be a much more difficult series to produce! I don't actually get it while watching your videos, but I've definitely had the feeling myself (mainly when going out of bounds in the MMO Final Fantasy 14). Glad to hear I'm not the only one, haha!

    Oh wow, I love this era of gaming because there were so many tricks before proper depth of feild, subsurface textures and lighitng were introduced to console gaming. Great Video

    In the PS1 version, Sniper Wolf actually has a texture for her face with a bullet hole. You never see it ingame, as Snake puts the hankerchief on her face, but it's visible from datamining. Pretty sure it's showcased on TCRF

      +Shesez Yeah I think emulators might work as +Êvan Caritop suggested. Why not give ti a try, what's to lose? *browser crashes*
