Congratulations on all of the achievements in terms of the ports the only thing I wish they could’ve done was for MGS2 and 3 Was port the original PS2 versions skateboarding, mini game, snakes, nightmare in the jail cell, but they went with the HD collection probably because it was easier to do. It is nice having it on modern consoles PS 5 So I can’t complain too much
Cheers mate! Ah the skateboarding was so fun, I remember renting the substance version when I was a kid just to play the extra content, and yeah I agree. I touched on it a bit in the video that the porting was very lazy but didn't want to complain too much about it. It would have been nice to see a bit more effort in terms of just slapping the hd collection into the master collection without updating/adding something, there isn't much incentive to buy the master collection over any of the older versions but they are timeless and amazing games, just to go back and unlock all the achievements again was worth it.
@@littlebadassgaming hopefully they'll give volume 2 some better treatment if they plan on releasing it. I also remember some banana/monkey mode on metal gear 3, remember playing that as a kid.
@@PlayedToCompletion oh yeahh. That was the snake vs monkey mode. It was a collaboration with ape escape. And the ape escape made a special little campaign with it.
I am a big metal gear Fan, got the Platinum Trophies of nearly every canon MGS.(only missing MGS2 on the psvita and rising/survive) but upon hearing the collection includes the rank trophies, i knew i won't make it. I always hear people like you too saying it's doable but i just don't have the nerves anymore or time too suffer trough this. So respect getting these all done🎉
Respect on the platinums especially if you've done 5, that is such a slog. Haha I feel that, I swear my heart can't take the stress now I'm getting older. Considering your experience and knowledge of the metal gear series I truly think you'd be fine with the big boss ranks, 2 is a challenge but it's one I really enjoyed and just embraced it for what it is. I highly recommend trying it even just for fun at least that way it won't be as stressful as going for the trophy. And thanks for the comment mate, appreciate it.
@@PlayedToCompletion yeah, got the HD collection platinums on PS3, MGS3 on PSvita(mgs2 i only miss the vr missions in that version), MGS4, MGSV GZ(PS3 and PS4 100% trophies, these had no platinum), MGSV(PS3 and PS4). Maybe i try it one day. Thanks for the encourage ^^
@@Rising-Shine kudos mate it's impressive feat, the vr missions are torture haha. I'm debating metal gear rising but have read horror stories on the platinum, best of luck on your runs if you go for it, you can do it!
Thanks for stopping me from making a huge mistake, was just thinking about getting the PS5 platinum for MGS 2, but fuck ever doing the Big Boss run again. Great video.
Dunno if you know about this trick, but if you press "shoot" and "crouch" in MGS1 you can move and shoot simultaneously. Makes certain boss fights and sections way easier 👍
Yeah had no idea on that one, great thing about metal gear is to this day you're always learning new things whether it's game mechanics, codec calls etc. didn't know you could find liquids parachute till I replayed the master collection.
Thanks everyone for the support on this video! I really appreciate it, Hope you've all enjoyed it. What game do you want to see me unlock all achievements in next?
I just picked up the collection and debating on doing the full grind. I previously completed Halo MCC back in 2019 and been itching for hard completion since. So far I only started the first game and have 900G. Just missing the VR missions which I’ll probably start this weekend alongside MGS2. But good lord mgs2 is gonna be a grind
Respect on the master chief collection, some seriously hard achievements in that list, if you can get that done you're definitely capable of metal gear. Vr missions aren't so bad for 1 just a grind, and at least they got rid of the vr achievements in 2 compared to the HD collection, the big boss run is the blocker but keep persevering and you'll get there! Great games to have 100% and it's always rewarding doing a tough completion, best of luck! Hopefully the videos help in some way even if it's just motivation.
Cheers mate appreciate it, and thanks for the feedback. The voice over definitely isn't my strongest quality in terms of entertainment so I go down the route of informative to help people, but I'm working on it :)
@@PlayedToCompletion this is literally my only critique, if you can polish your VO it'd be much better. I recommend watching JoshStrifeHayes' content, he does a lot of stuff about how to talk on camera etc. Again, excellent work.
Im currently working through this collection. I got the plat on the first game. Currently trying to get the Big Boss run done on the 2nd game. I managed to get to the first save after like a week :S I like collecting the dog tags. I enjoy collectibles like that and i made a spreadsheet to keep track lol, i know i dont need them all but Its my therapy for dealing with the extreme trophy... Looking forward to playing through mgs3
Congrats mate, keep going you'll get them all done with some perseverance. You've got your first save which is great, little steps progressing to your next save and you'll be at the rays in no time :) I found having the next save in your head makes it a less daunting experience at least. Definitely agree with you on the dog tags, very fun and unique collectible in my opinion, most games the collectibles tend to be a tedious experience.
I watched jaguar kings big boss guide & perfect stealths big boss guide. I watched them both and went with what worked for me in terms of strategy's. Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed.

Yeah they are, 2 is by far the hardest and will be the stopper for most people but it's entirely doable with a bit of perseverance for most. Dog tags while a bit tedious I actually enjoy multiple playthroughs and collecting them, quite a unique collectible.
@@PlayedToCompletion Olga is one of the hardest battles I've done. Fatman? Hate that guy so much. The issue with Big Boss runs, is that it's based on total precision, which requires tons and tons of practice. For 3, I never got past The Pain.
@@OscarDirlwood Yeah Olga is nails hard, but as with all the bosses, there are strategy's that make it a lot easier, definitely requires practice but makes it doable. Disappointed with the laziness of the port, but it's still metal gear nonetheless, amazing games. Looking forward to volume 2 and getting all the achievements, if they make it.
