if your building a go-kart or mini bike its really up to you the governor makes it so it cant go to max rpm rated for the engine so not you don't need to but its recommended to remove it and if you decide to I recommend upgrading the valve springs I put 22lb springs in my Honda gx 160 and it ran great I have since retired it but it ran amazingly

What do i do with the governor? We arent removing it.
Very good question.🤔
Just leave it in their as long as you don't upgrade the valve springs the stock ones will float before it gets too high of rpm
Helpful tip: align the inner needle with that gap in the carb or you’ll be stufk in full throttle(i almost lost my build getting to excited)
should i have not removed my throttle assembly on the motor? will that affect it idk i havent heard it run yet

Just a vent line
