I kept a 65 t on back and at about 5-6 grand I’m leaning over the handlebars lol ✌️

Thank you for the information I just install a Mikuni 22 on my Coleman CT200u and having trouble with the idle.
Had problems with the Mikuni that came with my rebuilt XR200R motor, wherever the screws where it ran above 2000rpm choke worked as throttle no revs barely on throttle, so found one same as yours here said for XR200, had marks where it was set (idle 1.25t) kicked over ran a beaut straight away, been buzzing around the village on it tonight, just has a bubble in the fuel line issue cause it's modified with a CL360 tank and the fuel line is hooped down up over and down to the carb, atm has a fat clear fuel hose on, just need to let the air fizzle out 😂 it's like a soda 😂 then it runs great.....hoorah ✌🏻

I know this was old news. But there’s a lot to say about learning the carb yourself.
The vm is so simple. You basically have a high and a low
Always point your bike towards a wall on the incase you screwed the throttle up.
It comes set close enough for your bike to run.
So set your idle screw first,
I sit my bike on a cradle to free up my rear wheel.
I gas the throttle- turn screw gas throttle turn screw and after 5 min of gassing the engine, your ready to ride 👍👍💕

Got one of these few months back... Got it tuned after it was doing the run away bike thing.. i got one ride around my property, put it in the garage the next morning it didn't want to start i got it to run didn't get far til l was pushing it back to the garage. Never got it going again.. got a cheap Chinese 35$ one and it started right up..

You could use the air filter cover that come with the stage 1 kits, and just zip tie. Other than that, we may use a UNI Air Filter Pod for added protection. But we currently do not sell a smaller filter cover.
I used to use a plastic coffee can on my daughters Atv when it was muddy. Drill a couple holes and zip tie it to the carb

It runs on main jet at WOT. Change main jet, probably larger. Look at spark plug to see if it's running lean or rich.
When we buy these from you, you all set the fuel mixture screw already so we don’t have to change this right?
This carb is not Mikuni one is a Chinese clone i am afraid. Make sure you didn't paid full price for it...

Can you tell me what starting jets to use for a stock coleman vm22 with a 1" exhaust please? I've went from 110 all the way to 130 and it still seems like it needs more fuel, but I'm now second guessing if there's something up. Could this possibly need as big as a 135, 140 main? It does run good plug still looks a little lean with the 130. Thanks..

@@jaybourbon8608you need a 115 jet pop the bowl off and install a 115 they come with a 95 stock and you need a 115 for California like near La area not sure where you are located though?
i have dual carbs on a RMZ 500. i have been having intermittent loss of power. the motor stays running but it wont run full power. i already changed the coil pack and still had the same problem. ran fine for an hour then about 30 seconds of power loss before back to full power.
Will this fit on a mega moto 80 stock engine? I have one at home and ive been wanting to mess around with the engine without swapping the engine.

So I have a SSR 125 pit bike that I have purchased a 26mm Mikuni carburetor for and it will not start what should be the first adjustment I do? It does have a spark and it does have compression it will start and run with the old carburetor .thank you

One quick question. When i hook up the vacuum line that goes to the back of the crankcase it runs like crap. This is on a Tao Tao 120. It does run better with the vac or vent line open to atmosphere. Thanks

Been fighting with my float bowls needle. Im still getting a bit more fuel because i still get a drop of fuel from that over flow line on the bottom of the bowl.
What do I do if new carb is leaking a ton of fuel from carb and from excess fuel tube ? Do I need to adjust my carb again maybe it’s o ring issue not lined up ? Or jet pin?
I have a mukuni vm22 from a kawaski ke125 1978 2 stroke i cant find a new clone to buy cause mine fit in the bike on a rubbee boot no screws and is located by ur right foot brake pedal behind a side casing so i was gonna clean it all out and try to use same one but i need to know how to reset both screw to a point where engine start and the ajust it cause all the clones online has the bolt on side with the pipe and if i get one of thoese i cant put case over it anymore and would be exposed and in the way for brake pedal please help me thanks
After installing a new carburetor I like to spray the contact points with break cleaner and listen for an rpm change. No change is good. Change is bad.
That brake cleaner is hard on plastic and paint. If you're checking for vacuum leaks you may want to use a silicone spray. Very good point checking for possible vacuum leaks.
What’s different between this one and the 26mm?
my air screw fallen out. but still works ok. is it worth trying to find new screw if still works OK.

I watched your video, it's very good. One question there is a hose connection in front of the fuel inlet
on the left side of the carb (choke side), what does that connect to? Is that another fuel over flow ?
I know there is an over flow on the bottom of the float bowl. Not sure where the connection in
front of the fuel inlet goes or connects to. PLEASE ADVISE THANK YOU
It may be a vacuum line, not used on bikes and atv's

I recently bought this carb for my bike, ever since i installed it my bike has been blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. it idles and runs good but it is chugging out a lot of smoke and the smoke smells strongly of gasoline, my previous carb did not do that. does anyone know what the problems might be? could it be running too rich and if so what does that mean and how do i fix it?

I got a mikuni and the slide won’t go all the way to the bottom and the idle screw won’t work. We started it up and it ran at such a high idle and when we gave it gas it would stall out. Is there anything I’m doing wrong?

Nice video. Unless the VM22 clone is different than a true Mikuni... counterclockwise on the AF screw leans it out vs richens it up. Easy enough to listen for, but would be surprised if the low fuel circuit design was different... given it was basically stolen and copied.

I have the same exact carb on mine, but cant get it tuned at all, im up to a 150 main jet 5th slot on needle and still running lean, sprayed around engine n cant find any air leaks

Hey. Can someone please give me a link to a twist throttle assembly that's good quality and fits this Carb? I'm having a realy hard time. Every cable so far has been too short by like a 1/4 inch. All adjustments are bottomed out.

Do these chikuni's run the same jets as the real Mikuni's? I've heard some people say they bought a jet kit and the threads & heads of the jets aren't the same as the original jets in their carb.

Just bought one. The wholes on the adapter don’t seem to line up with the holes on my block. Any ideas of what I’m missing. Also mine didn’t come with a gasket
It's pretty cheap on amazon for the gasket,
For the holes it might be a little off but it should be correct. Unless you meant the mounting holes which idk the answer.

How do I remove the stock long bolts from the manifold to install the new bolts to attach the carb?
Screw on 2 nuts up against each other and back the inner one out while holding the outer one still using 2 wrenches. It will eventually lock up and you can unscrew the bolt just by unscrewing the inner nut. To get the nuts off hold the inner one still and unscrew the outer nut.
i bought a new throttle cable but when it start it still goes a little nd i turned down the idle

Just fitted one of these, not getting any fuel to the motor, bowl filling up, cleaned it with compressed air, what could it be.
Does the governor have to be removed for the motor to run right? Because i just installed a mikuni (japan model, not Chinese) on my predator 212 but it dont run right. It surges real bad and even stays reved up really high to where the mini bike would take off if i didnt have it jacked off the ground...ive messed with the air screw, idle screw, as well as installing different size jets. But still cant get it right
Check your choke lever. The genuine Mikuni choke lever needs to be pulled up for it to be off.
I recently bought a stage 2 kit with 22 lbs springs with the racer kit. I have everything installed but the problem I'm having is that it idles super high! Can you help please
I saw your comment this morning while trying to troubleshoot the exact same build as yours doing the exact same thing. After dinking all day with it I found that my dummy ass installed the manifold upside down so one of the little cutouts on the manifold was sucking air right in. Installed it correctly and walla! Idling correctly. Give it a look.
Is this pz22 good for 70cc 2t?
I followed all your steps, got my bike running great, went to put my new air filter on and bike keeps dying. No dirt inside filter it’s bran new. Any idea why this keeps happening?
If the motor die's as you are installing the aircleaner, you may have a bad seal on the main o=ring that seals the carb to the manifold. In many cases the seal will become off center when the carb is clocked level. If you cant remedy the failure issue, then take the carb and manifold off the motor...in one connected piece. Then look thru the manifold to see if the o-ring is showing anywhere. It should not be exposed in any areas. There isI also a small chance that a restrictive aircleaner will cause an already compromised o-ring to begin leaking. Good luck.
