@@Black66 what could be my problem I got a 26mm carb with a 115 jet it turns on with choke but want to run 🏃♂️ without choke it idles and runs good
@high5565 😂 I just fixed this problem on my cc100x, all you have to do is adjust your jet turn it right or left until it's perfect for your bike and it will work, hope this helps😊

I have a 150cc bike that comes with a horrible carb and I have been wanting to get a mikuni carb for it but worried I won’t get it tuned right so I just waited. I got a little more trash than I like in my carb and after I tore it down , vat , u no the works ! I’m getting old and forget full , only thing I did wrong was the stainless washer was on the wrong side of the o ring

Correct ed but It won’t mix right . Can’t dial it in. I guess
i damaged something. Runs about like factory ! But I’ve built a lot of performance engines and a few supercross bikes , this little Chinese carb has given me hell ! Lol to stubborn to spend 32$ on another one because I can’t find what the issue is, and think next time I will ! 😂 maybe the love of a challenge!!

Im not knockin', I just got into mini bikes ( predators ) a few weeks ago as well as a few of my buddies.. we are all just ordering parts left and right for our doodlebugs tryin' to be the fastest. @@Black66 I got another VM22 from Chi-na because I thought I messed up the float height and didn't want to play with it. Everything was different. Needle jet, main jet, and pilot jet. Even the fuel screw threads. I only got one short ride with the Nibbi flat slide, but it feels nice. I ordered 4 different carbs and there's a brand called "maple" and the quality is unreal for like $30. I stuck with the Nibbi because I had been wanting something real nice.

Great video! I've been binge-watching the Road to Horsepower on Red Beard's Garage channel, and there's an episode where he dyno's 4 different carburetors, including this one. The gains are massive, which means the stock carb is woefully undersized & probably designed for maximum fuel economy. I'm very tempted to grab one of these chikuni vm22's & dial it in!

Hi I just watched your video on how to tune your Mikuni style carburetor! Thank you so much because you explain everything and leave nothing out including about the Jets great job my friend! Now I have a rather simpler question? What kind of filter do you think works best on these Mikuni carbs? The soft spongy ones like in the video or the K&N style ones? I currently have the exact same set up as you do except I don’t have a Mikuni carb yet but I was Wondering to get the kind of performance you get do you have had work done to your 212 predator engines? And what’s a good sprocket size currently I have a 72 I think it’s dock what came on the doodlebug!

You should definitely do a carburetor size comparison and see if there’s a different in carb size for speed and 0-30 or if you have one already send me the link!

I followed this video on tuning for my carb and it got me a little better. Found out it was running lean. Took out the stock jet and installed a 110jet and not I can not get it to idle off choke at all… I’m at a loss

What all do you need to buy to upgrade to one of these carbs? Throttle cable, intake inlet thing? Different jets? Any help or info would be appreciated

Nice video!! I have one problem with my Coleman ct200u ex, when you start the engine, it pulls the throttle open and I don't know how to stop it. Also is there a fuel cut off on the mikuni carb because I have one and don't see it and gas leaks out when I take the bowl out. thanks for the help
So basically the nedal is like a metering rod and it goes threw the jet ? And if so basically with the jets and needle positions u have fine adjustments
my 224 w/Mikuni doesnt like the 120 jets and larger...bogs down in top half of throttle and spark plug is black. Runs ok with the 100 jet but getting hesitation on first throttle. Will adjust the needle s you mention here

Great video! Thanks to your help I know why my Coleman hesitates when I throttle up. It's because it was too lean just like you said! I moved the needle clip down a slot and that did it. But it still pops so maybe I should buy a jet kit for my vm22 carb. I remember you saying in this video when it pops it's too lean. Thank you!

I got a 196 with 22lb valve springs and s header pipe will be putting a hot 265 cam in it and vm22 soon would you suggest I just put 120 main jet into it when I get it out of the box?
So I’ve tuned my nibbi 22 with help of your videos. Do you pay attention to your plug color? I’ve got my bike tuned to where it rips and doesn’t stumble and just rides great BUT I think I’m lean. So after you got your tuning in. Do you pay attention to plug color?

Working on the same carb. Dies when I give it full throttle but will Rev out when I give it gas slowly. I'm thinking the main jet is to big. What do you think?

Hey I just got one for my 224 and I was doing about 49 with the stock carb and a zip tie gov and an exhaust . Now I’m doing about 44 but it is running good is it because I haven’t done a full gov delete?
Hey man, watched your videos for a while, but I'm having issues with a carb that's identical to this one, what should I do?
My bike doesn't like to idle well and whenever I give it throttle it shoots out a cloud of black smoke. I'm running a 120 jet right now and throughout the powerband it runs perfect but whenever it goes back to idle it sounds and smells really rich. Do you know what idle jets these have, and if so which ones should I run?
What would you recommend for jetting on an authentic Mikuni VM22? Your less than 1k feet above me and I think the jets I got from GPS May be off

Must be great to have all that space to work with the carburetor unlike me and my dirt bike that have to remove it all almost every time to tune
I’ve learned to tune a flatside I’m ok with the normal Mikuni’s but this helps a lot
Putting the aftermarket one on my ssr 125. Would you change the jet right off the bat?! Elevation is about 3000 where I’m at.
If its a 125cc The stock jetting will probably be close.
Awesome video! Just got a vm22 for the pit bike. Two questions. Where is Your idle at when you start tuning the air/fuel mixture screw? How fast are you hitting the throttle when it’s bogging? Mine does it only if I really turn it quick.
