This has happened to my partners car multiple times.. First time RACQ came to have a look (2 days after) I explained how to start the car and magically it started fiine.. a few months later same issue just clicking. $600 Tow to landrover via the barge and they replaced the battery which had lost a cell and said thats the issue. 6months later same issue. Another $600 tow and emphasis towards the specialists that i want the issue resolved not just a new battery. I was told they've checked everything and sometimes battery's just fail.. 1Month later Same Problem. I'm now sourcing a battery which I'll replace myself and selling the car.
I literally have the same exact issue you had SAME THING changed the started like a year ago same as you said and it's not cranking anymore took me 5 minutes to think about everything and i knew it was the started but i haven't checked it yet it's 12:52am at this moment so i'll do it tomorrow i'm like 99% sure it's the starter but we'll see thanks for the help anyway
