Hello, I have a specific question:
Best boards i can chose from are:
      MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WIFI
      MSI PRO X870-P WIFI
Which would you recommend, the PRO X870 is even 30€ cheaper for me.

If I look at the AM5 motherboards, I cry and I remember buying in April 2019 my current ASRock B450 HDV 4.0 for $59.99. During next week I will replace my Ryzen 2 2200G; 16GB (3000MHz) with a Ryzen 5 5600GT; 32GB (3200MHz) and I intend to keep the motherboard at least till 2030.
I'm a collector! I have all Windows releases from 1.04 (1987) to 11 Pro (now) in a VM and the same is true for all Ubuntu LTS Releases from 6.06 LTS to 24.04 LTS plus 4.10 (the first); 5.04 (my first) and 24.10 the 20 years remembrance version :) :).

I picked up the same (16 instead of 32gb) for my living room PC, 5600GT till RX 6600 arrives. It was great value, gets you on the AM4 platform. My main PC has AM5 Motherboard, 7600x for future potential upgrades, but the difference in cost to performance between the two pcs will be like 3 times the cost, twice the performance (if even!). Love a good budget build.

Solid recommends Jason. Didn't see this before the deep discounts were pretty much gone. Something that might have been worth including, in the chipset discussion, is how the boards with dual promontory chips (so, ONLY X870E, X670E, and X670) have the better PCIe slot, M.2 socket, and Rear USB port options versus the single chip boards. Don't think the upcoming B850's will have dual, but we'll see. Oh and completely agree, the A620 and upcoming B840 are really garbage worth avoiding. I managed to snag a TUF X670E before the sales ended, to "match" my TUF 4080 Super.
Minor points on the two ASUS X670E boards recommended. Yeah, they are MOSTLY "the same", but there ARE minor differences that might matter to some. The TUF has 3x ARGB headers versus 2x on the PRIME, the PRIME has a TPM header (TUF doesn't), Clear CMOS button (versus just header on the TUF), and the PRIME supports CPU Over Voltage (via jumper) that the TUF doesn't. Also, for the 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Mbps) rear ports the PRIME has 4xA and 1xC, while the TUF is 5xA.

Yes it's just the Tomahawk except with one less M.2 slot and less PCIE slots, and 2 less USB 2.0 ports on the rear IO. So basically yes. If you want a more premium mATX go for it.

Just built a new system with the 9800x3d. I initially ordered a MSI X670E Tomhawk but then sent it back and got the MSI X870 Tomahawk instead for 30$ more. Several reasons why x870 VS x670e :1) the x870 is newer, possibly longer term support ; 2) more usb ports total; 3) pci quick release for GPU - this alone is worth 30usd if you've ever been really frustrated to get the old gpu out of there; 4) usb 4 ; 5) wifi 7; 6) newer audio
I would say to people looking at getting a new motherboard sure maybe there is no one key feature in x870 that alone justifies it over a x670 or similar but as a whole it could make all the difference.

However, the Steel Legend has very limited stock, so if it's available in your area, don't hesitate to grab it. Don't buy the B650E Steel Legend the B650 somehow is better which is really strange.

Hi Jason, Love from Bangladesh. I have been building an AM5 gaming Pc for myself for a while now, buying parts one by one. You have been very helpful in this whole process, especially since I am no expert, I have only mid level knowledge in building a PC. I have a question I hope you'll answer.
I have bought Team T-force delta 32GB DDR5 CL30 RAMs (they come in 16gb x 2 dimms in one box), and I have ordered a 9800x3D. I want to pair it up with a good Motherboard that has good VRMs, and provides me the options to add another T-force Delta 32GB RAMs later. (16gb x 2 dimms in one box, same as before). Considering this and the pricing in Bangladesh, I decided the MSI B650 Tomahawk Wifi would be best for my purpose. But a friend of mine said that I can get the MSI X670E Tomahawk board by adding only 30$. It has better VRMs and more ports and whatnot. I have the budget to buy that, no problem. (There's a great offer going on for this board here in Bangladesh, I am very intrigued)
But per my meager research, I found someone pointing out that I will have to use Two 32GB single dimms for the X670E board, I can't use those 16GB X 2 dimms when I upgrade the RAMs. Also X670E Tomahawk has ALC 1200 audio compared to ALC 4080 of the B650 Tomahawk's.
I'm sorry for such a lengthy question, I know you must be a busy man. But It would really help me if you told me which board I should buy. I will not overclock my PC, just some gaming and casual Photoshop. It is very hard to get good advice for building a PC here in Bangladesh. Also these are the only decent deals for a B650 and X670E boards respectively here in my place, so my hands are essentially tied between these 2 boards. Thanks so much for all the help with your videos, and I hope you'll find the time to answer this query of mine.

So we see the features here...but what about performance? Thats just as important and it seems it was skipped over. Ive done quite a bit of studying to find a good motherboard for my new ryzen 5 7600x3d, and the ASRock was the best for performance...while the MSI Mag Tomahawk, the premium AM5 you suggest, is only average performance.
