S.A.M.E well i already was confused but now way more o-o
Lena Han She always makes me confused. Did you see her sequin dress?
Ikr
Same
Lol I get you
*jen busts through the door* Jen: I WILL TEACH YOU MY WAYS
Wolfu Le hahagaga
🤣🤣🤣
OML YES XD
Lmao 😂
😂
i assumed that all girls fantasize about kissing other girls and thinking about how nice it would be but haha i was wrong
I do that too 😂😂😂 well im pan so i daydream about kissing just about anyone
It is normal but it doesn't have to mean you are gay girls are just beautiful...
YOU WATCHED YOUR LIE IN APRIL??? I LOVE YOUR PROFILE PICTURE😍😍😍😍
Honey you a little gay. Me to tho.
So if im daydreaming about kissing a girl that means im into girls? Im a little confused about my sexuality lately😂😂
When I came out to my mom as Bisexual all she said to me was
“As long as you are who you are, and you don’t start screwing animals, we’ll always love you for who you are.”
That stament made me very confident about my sexuality (Except the “screwing animals” part, that made me question some things)
I wish I had the balls to come out to my parents... I know that I’m pansexual.
So frustrating. I’ve known I’m not straight since I was 7/8 but I never told my family because of fear. (Some ppl in my family are on the homophobic side).
I wish I could tell my mom
My name is Yeehaw XD i hope one day, you get to a place with your mom where she’s accepting, and you feel comfortable enough to tell her 🖤
#bestiality
Charlotte Barakat thanks man
Can we have a Jen version of this please??
Edelioo Please please please!!!
Edelioo omg... I do AGREE
Totally!
Omigosh yessssssssss
yasssssssssssss!!
Jen: Whoop. Saw that one coming.
Straight from the lesbian.
(edit: gay from the lesbian, by popular demand)
Jen: TO THE SQUAD WIF YOU COME TO ME
'Straight'
Chantel: "Did you know I was queer?"
Straight people: "NO what?"
Queer people: "haha yeah"
My best friend and I found each other before either of us knew we were queer. Then we spent a year with another friend joking that she was the "token straight" in the group. She just came out to us as bi a couple weeks ago. Unconscious gaydar on point.
SWEAR
Yeah my gay friend thought I was into women before I ever started questioning xD
Metwoyearsago yeah... The person I like (no gender) found out, where as most of my friends who are not gay or homosexuals did not know
Gaydar is real, as the first person of anyone I knew to come out (at the age of 11) I now spend by life like the "that's none of my business" Kermit meme as people around me come out and I'm like well duh
"Baby gay Chantel was so confused" honestly relatable
"bi feels kinda right... asexual feels kinda right" it's so refreshing to see someone who identifies kinda like me. for me at least, knowing you're not completely straight and saying just that feels like a cop out or like i'm trying to be something other than straight. but it's so wonderful seeing someone who understands.
I've known for a few months I'm demisexual, and a few years back I wondered if I liked girls, but her saying that straight people don't think about holding hands, or kissing other girls is making me realize I may be bi haha, so I may identify like you too, I am so confused right now god haha
oh i feel that!! i've known for almost three years that i'm demi (wow time flies) but i'm still wishy-washy on saying i'm for certain bi bc of the ways i experience attraction and that i've only had one for sure crush on a girl so far. it's tricky navigating labels when you don't know much more than "i'm not completely straight" which is my go-to sentence. we'll figure everything out in time tho!! i just think it's super cool tho knowing there are people out there who identify similarly and having that reassurance you know??
I always got confused with my sexuality and I relate to you sooo much
YAAAAASSSS
Confused is the 2nd step and it can be a fun one.
Look for terms if you want. Try them out and play with them. Learn your definitions for you and find your closest match. Or just say Queer or Gay. Or even just simply Not straight.
Have fun with it! It is your journey, take all the time you need.
“I’m gay a little” is my new favourite thing. Love ya girl

I'm not confused I just never knew that she was gay :)

I think Chantel is just such a wonderful human being. I really enjoy listening to your story

I'm demisexual and no one ever talks about demisexuals!!
I'm so excited someone else has similar experience!
Hi! I was wondering if someone could help me figure out if I'm demi or ace😂 the thing is I don't really ever what to have sex... But I also develop crushes, so dose that mean that I can't be ace because I don't want sex or demi because I get crushes, I'm so confused!!
It's cos demisexuallity isn't common.
What is demisexuallity
@Lily Lemur Being demisexual means that you are only attracted to people you have an emotional bond with. It’s on the asexuality spectrum and is very underrepresented, which is probably why you don’t know what it is.
so technically you mean you are Bisexual
the whole "i'm sure everyone has these thoughts but i am DEF STRAIGHT the straightest because i like dudes" is soooo relatable. but then i was talking with my (actually) straight friend about having kissed girls when drunk or whatnot and was surprised she hadn't. she said "i've never felt inclined to." and i said "huh." queue me realizing everyone did not find girls attractive lmao
I (demisexual verging on ace) had the opposite thoughts: "I've never felt these fervent crushes and ladyboners all my friends are freaking out about...uhg, they're just being extra dramatic." Yeah...nope. They were horny teens and I was clueless until 34, married for 11 years with 2 kids and reading a wecomic called Minority Monsters. Lightbulb moment! 😂
Ohhhhhhh yes me too
I'm 23 and i know I'm very ace but sometime my brain still says everyone is just being over-dramatic about this attraction stuff and it cant be that bad. Then i remember I'm ace and aro, and the words crush, sexy and, hot don't mean the same to me as everyone else. Then it makes ... more sense.
Elizabeth Gallie lowkey how I realized I was bi too.
Elizabeth Gallie That would be "CUE" in this usage, not "QUEUE". Two different things.
“Lightbulb crush” is amazing terminology, I’m using this
I know, right? Great terminology and very relatable.
Pretty sure her lightbulb crush is Jen
Xenia Guevara what makes you so sure?
Rebecca Elise because of the way Jen said she knew big time and that they first started working together back in 2015, and that they’re just friends now
Rebecca Elise but I mean I could totally be wrong and maybe I am it’s just fun to theorize lol
I'm also demisexual, and kinda bi, kinda gay. Kinda not sure who I really am. But I can tell that I have a real crush on her, and it's driving me crazy.
Adele Peterson
It's up to you how you wanna identify. Whatever makes you happy in the end. Terms are there to guide you but you also don't need to go by them if you don't want to. :)
Adele Peterson what's demisexual
@sophie c: It's part of the asexual spectrum and is definitely real. :) Demisexuality is basically sexual attraction to someone only occurring you've developed a deep emotional connection with them.
You can read more here if you're curious: wiki.asexuality.org/Demisexual
So I'm kinda slow, so to recap- Chantel is a demisexual and is attracted to men and women. Did I get it?
Yeah
catie jule think so
catie jule I think she's biromantic demisexual or demiromantic bi or both the separates together.
Tbh there’s so many types of gay let’s just go with not straight
Yeah pretty much the only thing is that being Demi means she very rarely feels attractive
"because Im gay a little" yeah same girl
Straight as a circle ur username is everything
Me
Same tho I’m queer
Baby gay means bisexual for her?? She is clearly bi and she prefers to call herself baby gay. What is she saying?? She will became gay in the future? It's a typical stereotipe of bi people
In this video we find out which of Chantel’s friends have gaydar and which don’t 💕💀😂
Kaitlin Kal Lee 🤐😁😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂
Kaitlin Kal Lee ikr, that's all I got from the reactions
Kaitlin Kal Lee there lucky trusty jim helped them get one
Honestly that’s all I was thinking lmao
Kaitlin Kal Lee I have a gaydar as soon as I was told my best friend was gay my reaction was “ I knew it” also I shipped her and this other girl and they ended up dating sooo yeah.
When she said “I’m gay a little” I thought she said “I’m gale”
Trixie Mattel’s Scream Laugh YOUR NAME! ! ! ! ! YES
Your laugh is ICONIC 🙌🏾
Dorothyyyy
thank god ive had the hugest crush on her forever
When you're asexual but you didn't realize there's a spectrum so now you're happy because now you can explain to people easier! (I knew Demisexuality was a thing I just didn't know it was part of a spectrum) Thanks Chantel!
Yeah, I know!!!!
Graysexual means you rarely experience sexual attraction, or a mild amount sometimes, dude. I’m greyromantic and asexual. Hi!
Awsamazing Eden what is it
Hi! I'm pretty sure I'm asexual because I don't really ever want to ever have sex with someone... But dose asexuality mean that I also don't devolop crushes? I'm so confused!
Pretty ironic, given that Chantel was my lightbulb
Awwwwwwww that's so cute
Yay. She cute.
Jen was probably the "lightbulb crush" lol do you guys remember the first videos of LadyLike and there were some flirting action going on that everyone started shipping them???
nuri Ann do you remember the title of the video ?
tape contouring
THIS MADE ME DISCOVER IM AROMANTIC AND BEFORE I KNEW ABOUT IT I THOUGHT I WAS BROKEN SO THANK YOU AND DONT ANYONE TRY TO SAY ACE AND ARO REPRESENTATION DOESNT MATTER
Kaitlyn Russell CONGRATULATIONS sorry this is late BUT IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU IM ARO TOO YAYYYY
Welcome to the Ace Spectrum. :D
The only person I've had tell me that ace/aro representation doesn't matter is my ex X'D (I'm ace and he is VERY MUCH NOT)
"I THOUGHT I WAS BROKEN" is such a mood tbh
@mother trucker Aromantic is the lack of romantic attraction. So no real crushes/desire to have that lovey-dovey partnership/get married, etc. Aromantics are typically happy being single and don't feel the desire to get a partner.
Asexual is lack of sexual desire for others (but not lack of it entirely, just no sexual attraction to other people)
Demisexual is sexual attraction to others once you have an emotional connection to them, but not before that.
Jen is sooooo sweet 😂
I love her hair
lauren law Seriously! I'm pretty sure it defies the laws of nature. Gorgeous!
Demisexual sounds like Demi lovato's fanbase 😂😂
Bee. Happy we’re all sexual for demi
Bee. Happy LOVATO
If that's the case, I'm completely sexual for Demi
Bee. Happy lovato*
It makes me think of Percy Jackson
I always wanted to know what it was like to kiss a girl...I finally did one day and oh man I liked it😂
Btw I'm bisexual
I kissed a girl and I liked it
@@friendlyneighborhoodsis421 the taste of her cherry chapstick
@@poisonberries1218 I kissed a girl, just to try it.
Lol i liked how your talking about this kind of stuff while your profile picture is so innocent! XD
@@tunefulpoem4454 hope my boyfriend don't mind it 😉
Wait so other straight girls don't think about kissing girls or???? Just me??
Rocknalldatime99 nope I do! It’s something I want to experiment and try because I’ve always wondered and have been curious.
This made me think maby I'm bisexual too. I have always thougth I was straight. I mostly have chrushes on boys/men (or people of the opposite gender that are around my age or older) , but I have had small chrushes on girls and thought about kissing them before. I thought that was completely normal. I have only had deep sexual and romantical feelings for men though. But that might be due to not letting the crushes on other girls evolve.
I'm very confused now
Me too actually. Turns out I'm just graysexual
I wonder what it would be like but I don't think I would ever do it. Ever. But I don't judge ppl who would do it
FlamerGamer _101 Same
so basically almost all the gays knew you were not straight before you came out .... not surprised hehe
FangirlFlower 666 #gaydar
How I discovered I wasn't straight:
A girl in my class: OMG I FIND *insert a boy's name* SO CUTE. DON'T YOU THINK THE SAME?!
Me: Meh. You r more my type.
It was awkward.
RYUU aw
Same
I'm just scared to tell people
it’s true, i was the cute boy
RYUU awwwkward

STORY TIME
I knew a friend of mine was bi before he knew. I told him multiple times and he denied it! Then I was walking in the halls with my gf, and he comes up to us and goes, Kailey, I think I'm a bit gay. I screamed TOLD YOU SO and he said that he found out because he watched a show I told him to watch.
I'm a great friend
We are in middle School
Good story bro
He probably didnt want to tell you because of your condescending reaction.
What show
WHAT SHOW I NEED TO KNOW WHAT SHOW please answer!.
Yes, my gay friend knew I am bi before I know. When his friends asked about my sexuality, he thought that I am bi and told them. At that time I was not sure yet and I told them I didn't know. On the next day I came out to him and his friends as bi although I felt a little bit afraid. However, I had a feeling that I should come out because they already know.
He guessed my sexuality right! I don't know how he can know about it. I didn't tell him who did I like.
Demisexual definition for anyone who needs it "A demisexual is a person who does not experience sexual attraction unless they form a emotional connection. It's more commonly seen in, but by no means confined, to romantic relationships. The termdemisexual comes from the orientation being "halfway between" sexual and asexual."
Thanks! I was planning to google this but you saved me the hassle lol
Okay now I am confused. I thought that I was pan but this defines me so much. I don't know what I am anymore...
ALikeAnita, you can identify as both! I do - I'm demi-pansexual. I won't experience sexual attraction until I form a close emotional bond with someone, but I could be attracted to people of any gender. It's okay to use multiple labels for your sexuality, if that's what fits you😊
Bri D thank you for helping me because I was lost. You're the best
ALikeAnita, no problem! Glad I could help.
Anyone else still on their sexuality journey?
Tuli Bird yep
🙋🏻
I don’t really have crushes very much and I have no clue what my sexuality is
Yaaaass
Tuli Bird yes and this made me feel so much better
I'm just saying, I think Jen may be the lightbulb crush
"now that I actually know her, I'm not so much into it"
And the fact that Jen wasn't surprised at all 😂
Lucas8809 glad im not alone in thinking that
I thought it was Freddie 😂🤷🏼♀️ but I see this too
Yeah I thought this too!
Light bulb crush = Jen??😉.
I was thinking the same thinggggggg
Camila Ayala ooooooooo tea
Camila Ayala ummmm sane lol
I mean i would get it😅
I was so sad watching this because Jen is so like good looking but ya know they don’t like each other so they’re fine right?😂
Chantel and I have been through almost the exact same thing. Even down to religion! We also identify as the same things! How neat!
Alex Elizabeth no way! Me too. Only, it’s something I realized about myself sooner than she did, but everything was pretty much the same :)
Same
I had crushes on both since my childhood, but it took a girl in freshmen year of college to be my lightbulb crush... Only I was 18. And I am not religious at all.
Sameeee! Demisexual and also kind of guys and girls; cool! Still don't label myself cause I'm still so open and confused lol, but for now I stick to these two! Awesome that Chantel has the same :D
Demi pride yasss (;
"BECAUSE Im gay a little"
Why is this me 😂
I’m legitimately only 2 minutes into this video and I have been blessed, validated, reassured, and become more hopeful than I ever have in my entire life. Thank you Chantel!! #labelsarehard #notstraightforlife 🏳️🌈
Don’t come at me but I feel like we shouldn’t have any labels for sexuality. There shouldn’t be “straight” or “gay”. It should just be you love who you love no matter who they are. People shouldn’t have to struggle with figuring out what their label is when labels are exactly what everyone says not to put on people, including yourself.
I agree right now the labels are there to help people come to terms in a heteronormative society but I really think as society moves forward eventually being gay or straight or somewhere inbetween will disappear and it will just be a form of love and life.
It would be a lot easier if everyone was just chill about having relations with others. Labels implies rules.
& that’s called pansexual
I agree if we want to be yourself then let us love who we want and I don't want to be labeled differently than anyone else
i agree! ❤
This sounds pretty close to my own story. It took me forever to figure out where I was but then I found demisexual. I've never really seen anyone who identifies as that so it's kinda refreshing to see someone open up about it
Helena VanNatter check out Evan Edinger-he’s Demi and has done a few videos on it. Also Ash Hardell makes informative context on loads of sexual, romantic and gender identities and has done videos on asexuality and demisexuality before. I’m on the ace spectrum, thought I was demi but I think I’m more grey-asexual.
India ND I love Evan, but I didnt know that! Thank you, and I'll for sure check out the other person
Same. I’m still growing up and still confused about mine. Her story sounds a lot like what I’m experiencing and this video made me so happy to see someone who had a similar story and offered a little guidance
What is demisexual? I want your interpretation of it.
Ooh I’m a demi too; I didn’t figure out until I read an article about it. I thought I was just a freak because I never had celebrity crushes but my friends did.
The Internet is such a wonderful place when it's actually used to better people's quality of life
This is such a well made video. Love how Jen knew
I’ve grown up Catholic. I’m also not straight. I’ve actually never heard anyone in my church say that being gay was wrong. Maybe I just haven’t gone enough, because I literally only go during Holidays.
Dark Angel well actually some churches do accept the lgbtq+ community, but there are some that don’t.
Depends on the denomination of Christianity that you are apart of, some are more excepting than others
I also grown up as Catholic, doing church services (as acolyte? Idk in english but the one who helps the pastor in mass) , also join the community.. but I don't really remember hearing about lgbtq things at all..
The one i hear is from one friend from church, who's a little homophobic(?) And that's all..
I learn more about lgbtq from coming out videos and stuff later on
//Sorry my english not so good.
my church is very accepting
Catholics are more open to the LGBTQ but some Catholics are not, but however christians are more not on the open minded side sadly
When I was 15 and first recognized I was bisexual, my school had this water games thing going on.
So imagine this: I'm 15, I just admitted to myself that I really like guys AND girls, I haven't told anyone yet and now I'm at my catholic school surrounded by my peers who are all in wet uniforms...my mind was imploding!! I had no clue what to do or say but all I could hear in my head was "DONT ACT GAY!!"!!
Next thing I know one of my girl friends grabs my hand and whisks me across the field to do some water stuff. We held hands for what felt like forever and as we talked and laughed I was paranoidly thinking "oh god she knows!"
Turns out nobody was really watching out for my gay tells and I slowly came out throughout the next year.
This is one of my favorite stories now.
Samantha Darling Idk if you can help but I’ve never really had crushes on anyone but you know some people have celeb crushes well my celeb crush is a girl lol so idk what to think but I’ve been thinking for a long time that I might be bi
Sophia Poppy well it's possible that you might be bi or might just really love her as a person. Don't rush to find a label is the only advice I really have. Let your feelings come organically and maybe you'll develop feelings for somebody in your life and it'll feel crystal clear.
Samantha DarlingI AM Bisexual also and THANK GOD I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS "DONT ACT GAY" am alwayd afraid of randomly outing myself
This story was beautiful, thank you for sharing
This sent me looking into demisexuality and realizing that this is something I have tried to articulate for so long. Thank you so much! You have played a role in me being able to put a name to something I have experienced for years.
Amanda I have no idea why this video was on my timeline. I'm straight but always felt it worked different with me.. never heard the term but it's nice there is an explenation :)
Amanda same but I’m an aromantic and not demisexual
Weirdo264 - Please don’t hate on my ignorance but what do demisexual and aromantic mean?
crystallinebeauty
Demi is it takes an exiting bond before you develop either sexual or romantic feelings for someone.
And Aromantic is no romantic attraction. Like Asexuality it is a spectrum from no feelings whatsoever to some under certain circumstances.
If you want to know more AVEN is a good resource. they are the go to people for Asexual (Ace) and Aromantic (Aro) info. or they were when i was doing my research. should still be.
I'm demisexual but straight and heteroromantic but I get sexual attractive but have no interest and am really not feeling it until I get to know someone like I get so not into it until I know
I love this so much, thank you so much for sharing this ❤️ The way you described your identity resonates so much with my own, even though our stories aren't that similar. But it's wonderful to see someone in their 20's only just realising this, there's no wrong time to figure out your sexuality.
The video radiates so much positivity and I'm just very happy about that. And the editing is very great, creative but not too flashy, just perfect for the topic that's so personal and relatable. I just love your vibe Chantel ❤️

OH MY GOSH SHE'S ON THE ACE SPECTRUM AND I'M ACE OH MY GOSH I'M DYING I NEVER SEE ANY ACE PEOPLE AND ONE OF MY FAVORITE BUZZFEED PEOPLE IS DEMI LIKE ME OH MY GOODNESS I'M DYIIIIING
I’m ace to
yay for ace rep! fellow ace here
What does ace mean
it means asexual. it describes a lack of sexual attraction, and it’s described on a spectrum. ash hardell has a really good video talking about asexuality and what it means and different kinds, so if you want to learn more, then go check that out!
do you know Echo Gillette? she’s an art youtuber and also graysexual
i'm gay a little
12,000 ants mood
Why so many ants
When I came out to my best friend she asked me how long I knew and told me she knew
Kira thats actually what one of my best friends told me too after o came out😂 Btw i always see you comment under so many videos i watch
m0onlightfairy Haha! Apparently you watch the same stuff as I do😂
I was scared to come out to my best friend cuz we never really talked about sexuality and i lowkey thought he was homophobic because his parents were. but, when i came out he was just like “i know” and he’s fine with it :)
Lavender green I was so scared too! It was really chill with everyone else, but with her?! I almost had a heart attack and was so shaky! I had no reason to tho because she is the most amazing person and we had talked about lgbt stuff before and she always was very accepting. I think I was just so scared because she's the person closest to me(apart from my mom).
I'm so happy that your fear was proven wrong too!♡
I have a crush on my best friend.
Oh my gosh, this is exactly what I needed! I've been struggling so much with being both queer and ace spec, it means a lot to see someone I admire so highly talk through their individual experience. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Chantel.
I love how jen was in a blanket with coffee or smth?😂
CURLY’S SMILE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE ADAM SANDLERS SMILE
i love that, hehe.
Queen Beyoncé YESS
OMG LOL
Pause on 8:10 and he looks like adam a little
Queen Beyoncé AHHHHHH
This made me over think my heterosexuality 😅😐
that's completely okay! it's healthy to question your sexuality ^_^
I do that all the time,.. sometimes I’m like what am I? But I’m still young so I don’t know
Taylor Cranwell Don't worry about it, you're right, you are young! Just enjoy life, and let time do the work. It might get confusing at times, but don't let it get you down - it's normal and you'll get there eventually : )
Sickapig thanks :-) 😊❤️
I did too but I realized I have no feelings towards women😂😂
You go girl!😊
Limelights! I
Limelights! you go gorl
Hi I'm the 666th like.
I'm a Christian and I think that is is ridiculous that other Christians discriminate
you sure you're christian?
+Sandra absolutely
Sandra You can be a Christian and still support gay rights
A true Christian accepts everyone. Jesus accepted everyone and hung out with prostitutes sooo love your neighbor as you love yourself! They aren't true Christian's. I'm Christian and support gay rights. I have a brother who is Gay. Just because someone comes at as Gay doesn't mean they are a monster. It doesn't mean they aren't "normal". It means they are finally able to be themselves and who they have always BEEN. You fall in love with who you fall in love with. And if someone is happy and in a loving relationship then what's so wrong with that?
@@laurenkay5635 1 Corinthians 6: 7-11 clearly states that those who practice homosexuality will not inherit the kingdom of God, meaning it is a sin. Yes, as believers in Jesus Christ we are to love our neighbor. After the Fall sin entered the world and all humans were then born with a sin nature, that sin nature tempts us. This also means it can tempt people to act on homosexual desires. We are not to act on any sexual desires until marriage Hebrews 13:4. I do agree with you that no matter what we should love and care for everyone, but we should also be faithful to our faith and try to shed light on their sin. If you truly love someone you will want them to be saved from their sins through Jesus Christ who died on a cross on Calvary for us.

i classify as bi and demisexual so... how i found out:
i had always thought i was straight, but then i realized i had a crush on my best female friend. i told her and came out to her and let’s just say im still single and im no longer friends with her.
but i barely have crushes on people, im 13 and have had crushes on about 5 people in my life...
only thing is i literally can’t get over people, and when i do i can easily relapse into those feelings again. i still like the same guy (it’s a dude now) that I’ve liked for around a year.
Also: my parents still think im straight. Oops I’ll come out to them later. Like during my wedding some day 😂😂😂😂🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Hey as a 27 year old straight man I just want to say what you are going though is normal. In my life I only really had around seven crushes. I can recognize when somebody is physically beautiful but that doesn't really make me interested in them. Then there is people who what I think have fun personalities but all that does is it makes me want to be friends with them. Then there are a very very few people has something about them that makes me want to know everything about them and for some reason I get an addiction to their presence. Having few crushes doesn't make anyone weird it just means you know when you are interested in someone and why settle for less.
I’m 17 (almost 18), panromantic, and asexual :)
My situation exactly. Idk if I’m completely straight but I know I’m Demi, I’m 13 and have had a crush on the same guy for um, 3 years. So yeah.
Htx.Olivia I have a somewhat similar scenario with the best friend thing, except I’m still somewhat confused as to what level of crush it was, and she didn’t fully stop talking to me just because I came out to her and told her I liked her, she was accepting of course, but just uncomfortable that I liked her since apparently she’s never had anyone like her before.
Hi, I just want to say your friend is a jerk. I'm bisexual and I came out to my friends and parents (I'm 14) and yes alot of people said I was gross and wrong, but my best friends (female and male) stayed my side and supported me. When I came out to my boyfriend though, he broke up with me because I was bi, I'm happy and better off without him. Just know there's always someone out there for you, don't lose ❤❤❤❤
Yo it’s so comforting to hear your story because it’s so very similar to mine? I assumed I was straight all through HS because I’d never really had a crush on a girl but I had a ah ha moment about a year ago and then was introduced to the term demisexual around the same time and my lil queer mind was just blown. Thanks for sharing
I KNEW IT
yas, gaydar, keep doing what u doing, help me through life
I assume everybody bi until they they tell me different
Flo Curlz
Same
Same
that’s not really any better than assuming they’re straight or gay. just don’t assume someone’s sexuality maybe ???
Kt Stylinson society assume every one straight I take a different approach trust me it more fun.
Flo Curlz yeah i’m aware of what society assumes, i’m literally lesbian. you’re literally doing the same exact thing that “society” is doing, just with a different sexuality. i don’t give a shit if you think it’s “fun”, stop assuming people’s sexualities and acting like it makes u quirky bc you’re not assuming they’re straight.
This was the most relatable and important coming out story for me! As a Bi Ace who still doesn't always feel confident in the Bi part of the label, this was super reaffirming. Thank you for sharing!
“Because, I’m gay a little.”
“I hope he’s gay.”
We love you Chantel 😆
Rorocat love your profile pic
Ugh... AGAIN TH-cam NOT TELLING ME ABOUT THESE THINGS!
I'm not saying I don't like it, I mad because youtube did not tell me about it
Bailee Setzer why does it matter if they told you about it?
no the problem is youtube is telling you about this
Seeing others identify so publicly as demi makes me feel... so much "less weird" THANK YOU
Omg Jen is such a mood and I'm living for it
One of the best videos Ladylike has ever made.
Bloom I agree ☝️ 💟
Bloom true

Linda Harris I was talking to this person that I don't like in my principals office and when I was talking about how I had a gaydar and that I thought she could be bi my principal was laughing at me because I said I and a gaydar. I swear gaydar is real
Linda Harris mine is sadlyer wise broken xD
Linda Harris this is from futurama
Faye Cousin your principal is awesome XD
Linda Harris I’m at the point where i don’t know what I am anymore 😂
wow i need this
I had a pretty similar experience! I'm somewhere in the bi/pan area of the spectrum. I just say bi to make it easier for people but I still don't know if it's the best label for me. I grew up Mormon and I would also have those hypothetical thoughts, but I would also feel so inwardly defensive whenever judgement of gay people was happening in my church. In my mind I was just being an ally because I felt so passionate about gay rights even though I was straight, because I had only ever liked boys in high school. I didn't really realize I was queer until I was in college and my hypothetical crush on a girl became a very real crush on a girl I was really close to. She's ace, which is really funny because here she was trying to flirt with me while I was in denial and by the time I realized that this was very much a crush, we had both come to the realization that us dating would be a disaster. We're still very good friends, and I think we make a funny pair with me being bi and polyamourous and her just wanting some platonic friends to snuggle and watch movies with with without wanting more out of it. Opposites attract, I guess? Now I'm married to a wonderful trans woman, and I think if I had told 15 year old me that would be my future I would never have believed it.
My friends were kinda shocked when I came out to the about being bi even though they always teased me by saying I was lesbian
unipugtato 4life my I’m sorry they teased you about that because sexuality isn’t really a joke.
Jimena Vargas it’s okay and normal to question your sexuality. I’m also Catholic and go to church and grew up in a Catholic school but have some family members who are really homophobic. I came out to some of them more recently and I get rude comments but I understand what you said, when I was younger I prayed that I’d be straight but I tell myself now that God loves queer people; so I stopped trying to convince myself I was straight and said God will love me no matter what. Hope that helps in some way, and it’s okay to feel one way now and realize later if you’re another identity, it’s a spectrum😊
Brittany McGregor PREACH!
Brittany McGregor you’re a beautiful person we need more people like you in this world 🌈💕💕💖
GIRL I DID NOT KNOW THIS WOW YOU GO GIRL!!! #pride 🏳️🌈
I didn't realize I wasn't straight (I ID as bi now) until my mid-late 20s and my process was so similar. There was always the hypotheical "I'd kiss a girl, why not?! It's not gross or anything...." scenario even thought I didn't have a crush on girls I knew growing up (though now I recognize that there were a few female characters in movies that I did fancy). It's always nice and like..... reassuring to hear from someone who didn't "always know" and came to understand their sexuality later too.
You can't believe how much you helped me with this video
The video we've all been waiting for yay
YES, sexuality is fluid for me too. Even as a child i knew i had feelings for girls (being gay "wasn't a thing" so i didn't knew about that until a long time into high school. it got pretty weird and confusing.) I grew in a pretty open family (except for my dad side) so i didn't had to worry about that. I am pansexual and demisexual :)
When I read your comment I thought it was my own! I also have a very open mother and a more close-minded father and identify as pansexual + demisexual. Growing up I had crushes on both girls and guys, but always thought of my crushes on girls as wanting to befriend them because they were awesome and beautiful. Not until later did I learn about the sexuality spectrum and realized those were no different than my crushes on the guys:)
I had this same feeling when I read this comment! I'm twice Chantel's age and I've known for a long time how I felt, but didn't know the words to define it. What a great video and message!
I'm pansexual
OMG OMG OMG I AM TOO!!! I'M ALSO PANSEXUAL AND DEMISEXUAL!!!
i don't know what's a panromantic so i wouldn't know.
I’m not gay but I love you sooo much
LittleShesh :D you don't have to be gay to love her lmfao.
I know I'm bi when i dream about kissing my best friend
That's the best dream i've ever had in my life
Me : Please tell me i am not the only one god 🙏
God: you are not the only one
Me : whoooo hoodoo 😙😙
mine toooo
MEEEE OMG
Me too OMG
Thank you so much for this video. It also took me a long time for me to realize that I was bisexual, because I was attracted to both, and therefore never really paid much attention to my attraction to women. It’s a relief to hear I wasn’t the only one with an experience like this.
It's cool to see the replies accepting not knowing right away!! I've had to explain to straight and gay people that we don't always know. Especially being bi/pan! I just accepted I was straight too. I even kissed girls before knowing :p and then decided I was sexually bi but still didn't think to explore the romantic side for years!!
If you close your eyes, she kinda sounds like Zooey Deschanel
Alexander Discovery of the century ...
shut the fuck up because you're right
You see I already knew BUT THIS VIDEO MAKES ME VERRRRRY HAPPY
I love you Chantel. You are just so genuine and amazing. Congrats on coming out!
