    Thanks for the demo!
    Regarding cleaning, my own experiments have shown that water raises the woodgrain. Household ammomina disolves the smoke stain almost instantly and won't raise the grain. Coupled with a bristle brush it will clean the engraving. Alcohol will clean it also, just much slower.

    Do you have any videos on producing a depth file image?

      We do not currently have a video showing the entire process, but we will keep it in mind for the future!

      @@TrotecLaser The process on how to make a 3D image file would be interesting. And very useful.

      @@TrotecLaser Hi TrotecLaser So the laser machine can read the 3D files and you have control on how many layers/steps/depths engrave? Or is just the same process as engraving a digital image and giving more depth? Thx

    Where can I find that 3D image. I’d like to try it out cal so I suppose you would use a soft bristle brush to clean after engraving?

    • @TrotecLaser
      @TrotecLaser  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A soft bristle brush will work well to clean. Anything too abrasive and you may lose some of the finer details. Here is the design file! www.troteclaser.com/static/tlus-application-files/multi-pass-with-laser.zip

    You said does not depent on material if it goes about depth, so this hack does not count for metal surface engraving?

    • @TrotecLaser
      @TrotecLaser  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We cannot process depth into Metal with this machine.

    I have a Glowforge 45 watt Laser, much smaller then your 120 watt, What does the 1kh mean ? thank you :)

    • @davidstevens2577
      @davidstevens2577 ปีที่แล้ว

      1kh is a 1000 Hz frequency on the laser.

    Your Ruby 400 laser is outside the scope of what I am looking at currently. Ideally this should work with a desktop CO2 laser as well, correct?

    • @TrotecLaser
      @TrotecLaser  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This hack should work with other CO2 lasers!

      @TrotecLaser  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, this is possible with acrylic, but the effects will look different.

    Hi I’m currently making a puzzle piece that requires multiple passes to cut through the wood. How can I get my laser (using light burn) to complete one passing before starting the next? It seems to do the circular pieces first multiple times.

    • @glitter_fart
      @glitter_fart ปีที่แล้ว

      play with the optimization settings or just disable them, you can preview the cut path before sending it to the machine, if that doesnt work just burn one pass at a time manually starting the 2nd/3rd etc

      Yes, but only on certain fiber lasers that can sense the greyscale to mark deepest in the black point and fade power with the greyscale

    Newb, researching the market before I plunge in. Isn't running any co2 laser at 100% a lifespan no-no? I guess if you are factoring laser replacement costs into the sale price of the item it could still work out with the increased speed being worth the wear and tear.

    • @TrotecLaser
      @TrotecLaser  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With some brands, that is true. However, we use a ceramic core in our lasers. Because of this, they can easily handle full laser power whenever needed. Ceramic allows for better cooling, faster laser pulse time, and overall better performance, virtually eliminating the issues seen in other brands.

    How do you automate the sequential laser passes?

    • @TrotecLaser
      @TrotecLaser  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! To automate the sequential laser passes, place a number of desired passes in the parameters of the color being used.
