- My first trip up in Virginia was an INSANE success. Had a wild time catching one of the craziest looking fish I've ever hooked in to. Hope y'all enjoy and get ready for more Virginia kayak fishing! #snakehead

different species than the ones in Florida, ones in florida are the Greater Snakehead aka Bullseye Snakehead, ones up north are Northern Snakeheads

He was worn out and I just reached under his gill plate, no biggie. But yeah, the net was back in the van unfortunately. I can never remember everything.
Nice work! I live in Stafford and fish that area alot for snakeheads. When the snakehead scared you...that happens to me at least 5 times every time! I hate/love it!

With out asking you to give up your spot can you give me an idea were you are fishing in Virginia I live in NC. I have caught some Bowfin here and some real good wins in Florida. I have not gotten a snakehead yet would love to get to that onmy kayak.

Like a big aggressive mud fish. Looks fun. That top water blow up is hard to beat!

Snakehead are a great sport fish. I gave all mine away to be eaten by other people though. I heard they taste great.

I was fishing the Stafford area. Any creeks over there have snakes.
What brand reel You Using And braided line
I use a Daiwa Fuego for the reel. To me, it’s the best bang for you buck at the 100 dollar reel range and I use Beyond Braid line.
