Let’s go hunting
Dude the trout here in the bay have been THICK lately! Went out on Monday and didn’t catch a single one under 20”, it’s great to see. Sick video 👌🏻
Btw your IG link doesn’t work lol tried to find you on there but couldn’t 🤷🏻♂️
BIG OL' HONKER
Bro can you help with some spots I want to get into kayak fishing but I don’t know any good spots
@@fabianfishingstory hit me up on IG my dude I got you.
I fish this place all the time with my buddies. Never see anyone on TH-cam fish it before pretty cool. Nice video
@@strykerreid7338 thanks man. I’m going to keep it under wraps. Great spot.
@ yes sir maybe I’ll see you out there sometime🤙🏼
bro your getting too close to my secret tarpon spots. if i see you it’s on sight 😂
@@MichaelCarton941 lmfao I’m going in there with a full bucket of live bait.
Another cool video. Also thanks for doubling up with McQuade Outdoors on some of your videos. I wasn’t aware of his channel until I saw him on one of your videos and now I’m enjoying his content as well.
@@nickcaldarelli3609 I appreciate you Nick! Glad to help you watch John too, he’s a fishy dude.
thats not a big tarpon yall wana hunt them take that littel thing out to eggmount during july on the hill tide with some pass crabs
Oh fr sur ill totly do tht
Homie, just buy a net for goodness sakes. Stop trying to flip them in and save yourselves from having to grab them. Just buy a net. It just can be maddening to see you guys not sure how to land your fish when if you just had a net, you'd land those fish significantly faster. Please, for my sake, get a net for you guys.
Net? Never heard of her. But yeah, you’re probably right. Adds to the drama though.
Little heavier back bone rod to get more penetration probably could have landed a few more smaller ones early on, whenever I use anything less than a medium I lose a lot of the smaller ones.
@@aimfendi I was thinking the same. I used either a med heavy or a heavy but in all seriousness I think I was losing more of them because I wasn’t giving them any play when they were jumping at first. I was so excited about getting into bigger poons I couldn’t think lol.
Love Tampa, thinking about going to college around there
Hell yeah man. It’s a good spot. Tons to do.
Nice rod, what rod is it?
Thanks brotha. It’s a bull bay bolt. Can’t recommend their stuff enough. Great people, product and warranty.
Rip the spot
@@West6391 RIP for real, everyone knows it now. I went 5 minutes ago and there were literally people lining up.
@ bouta be 3k people that see this
@ yeah man and they’re going to know exactly where it is, all go there, catch every single fish and it’s going to ruined for everrrrrrrrr.
Awesome video brother! 🔥 Y’all crushed it out there. That tarpon jumping into the boat was nuts 😱
@@saltwatersessions thanks brotha! I had one jump out a couple weeks ago so it’s only fair. 🤣🤣
@ 😆 The universe works in mysterious ways 🔮
thanks, I hope the cowboys lose too.
🤞
They are sleeping on us Tampa boys
@@HookedWithHunter 😴 💤
wait i recognize that mangrove leaf, you burned the spot! haha. AWESOME video!
@@McQuadeOutdoors don’t tell anyone!!!!
The tarpon jumps are insane!
@@KimberlySartoris-yv4ch thank you!!! They’re wild.
you just gotta find the spots g swear and be consistent dont just go one time for 2 hours and say theres no fish there lmao
@@yunghousefly people do it all the time man. Obviously, the title was satirical though.
@ yeah nah I wasn’t clowning I was just letting people know not to do that 😂
@ ohhhh, duh. It’s so hard to tell. My B. But you’re spot on man. There’s fish everywhere in Tampa, but people go to the spots where they aren’t and complain they aren’t there 😂
@@GTFOutside yeah and people be forgetting we get red tides which take time to heal from so and we just had a bad one in 2021 I think so we’re just getting back to normal if anything
I think that the fish you thought was dead wasn't a tilapia, but a tripple tail which is really rare
Been watching some of your videos. Your viewership has to increase as you’ve got good content so keep it up! People are slow to find the good stuff for some reason! Was wondering what kind of ride the light green colored one is. As a woman, I am always looking for a lighter weight rods.
@@fishingforellieandlevi6504 thank you so much!! Seriously! I just love to film, fish and edit. I figure I’ll keep doing it and when the views come, they come. The green rod is a bull bay bolt. They come in all different weights but that one is a medium heavy. I can recommend bull bay stuff enough. They’re awesome people with awesome products.
Where is it?
I come down to north of Tampa to visit my brother each year, I've caught 2 three pounders and a third one which was my best at 3.7lbs 19 inches or so. We weighed the biggest one. I've only been doing it for a couple years as my brother only got back into bass fishing 2 years ago, so it's become part of the trip each year now to go fishing. I'd love to know some patterns you use for bass and for the little tarpon you fly fish for. I want to try to get him to take me after small tarpon and schnook in the mangroves. I'd love some pattern names that work for those species, recommendations or anything. That bass you landed was easily 5lbs but I'm not great at judging weight. I'm a trout fishermen and they're mostly measured in length and I have no talent for guessing weight lol. But I'd say at least 5lbs and 20-22 inches. That thing was a giant. And it's funny, you can fish a spot for bass for 45 minutes before one finally swims over to see your fly. Had that happen this year I was just about to leave and hooked into a nice 3lber after casting a spot for at least a half hour. I didn't catch all them big bass in one day or anything by the way, those are just my best ones. Thanks if you get back to me and your editing and shot composition are excellent, friend.
Hey brother, I appreciate the comment! As far as the poon flies, I’d look into flies called the Black Death and Shminnows. They’re basic patterns but work for poons pretty well. As far as snook goes, I’d look for bigger baitfish patterns. Game changers work well as well. A Clouser works well for just about anything as well. I’ve caught bass, poons, snook, redfish, salmon, literally everything I’ve ever fished for on Clousers. They’re do it all. Give me a shout on instagram or Facebook when you end up over this way and I can point you in the right direction as far as where the fish will be. I try to stay pretty dialed in. Thanks for the comment again man,
Heck yeah! Getting caught up on your vids now. Great work!
Thanks brother I’m working on it!
Dude ive been looking for your channel! Gald to see youve been posting videos again
Thanks brother! Yeah I’m focusing solely on just making vids and content. I love to fish and film so I’m going to give er hell and see if I can make it my job.
@@GTFOutside hell yeah! I'm ready for it!
Perfectly said at the end bro
Thanks man.
Great edit my guy. I love the variety the fly action brings. Youve made me start thinking about busting my fly rod out haha. Those puffy shrimpy lookin flies are fire
Thanks man!! To be honest my buddy J was catching everything on a damn white shminnow. Then things catch everything. I caught a few poon juniors on one yesterday too.
Where is this
Awesome video and editing. Cool looking flies…gotta like fish porn…👍👍
Thank you my friend!
Awesome video!! Is that the picayune strand?
soo good! Cinematic fishing videos are where its at!!!
Thanks brotha!!
Obsessed with this! HATE the gators though 🫣😱
They can get pretty annoying, especially when they’re blowing up your fishing.
Kim… Do you have life insurance on your husband 🤪
Dude let me just say the intro alone got my sub! Great work! As a Tampa local I can tell you this place is amazing, but honestly FL has some great fishing all along the coast honestly. I fish out of a gheenoe all over and love it. Look forward to more videos!
@@SALTxTHExWOUND thanks man! I’ve fished a ton of Florida, I’ve lived all around the state and every time I leave the state I miss the fishing here. Also… I MAY have just picked up an LT25
Sweet! I have an LT25 as well, you’ll love it!
Would you say low tide slack is the best for that area?
@@rafarafitaqueloque5001 in my experience out there a little bit of moving water helps but that time of year they’re just really stupid and would eat just about any shrimp.
Holy snook
@@Kiba7899 praise be 🙏🙏
Ya, they've found significant levels of flesh eating bacteria in tampa bay again. Wear your waders when you get in the water :)
Wow love it man high quality
Thanks brotha! Def more to come.
2:10 yea that’s a mayan
Oh yeah Tampa fishing definitely sucks😂
@@carshowstudio7879 exactly! 🤣
saw the title and thought this guy is either bad at fishing or is click baiting haha. Tampa has been firing recently for me
@@sfoutdoors7885 lmao instead you got BOTH me being bad at fishing casting into the mangroves and click baiting. But dude same, the bay has been popping off fish wise.
Incredible vid my dude! You’d think there was an entire camera crew out there with you 🎥 Top notch quality👌
@@saltwatersessions thanks my dude I really appreciate it. I never feel like I ever have enough hands out there but John is a def killer camera man.
what camera do you use/editing software?
I shoot on a GoPro hero 12 and a FX3. Couple dif lenses. I also use premier pro.
@gtfoutside i appreciate that info my man, most people would gate keep it 😂
How are trout doing? Going out this Saturday ti Ft De Soto any tips?
I don’t fish for trout very much brotha but I saw on another vid a dude was doing pretty decent in desoto flats on trout. They’re usually pretty thick through there. As far as tips, just work the mangroves or sand holes in the flats. Desoto holds some really good fish but they can be super picky at times.
I still get caught in the mangroves, no matter what I set up lmbo
@@richfishing92 hahahaha. Same here brother it never ends. I have some casts where I feel like “damn, I know what I’m doing” and then I bomb a cast 20 yards into the mangroves right after.
Spanish bite has been on fire
I gotta get after em man.
