No cam lock plate or thread locker , use brass hammer , some balancers need to be heated up so they expand before pressing on crankshaft so tool don't break. Torque in increments .

Might want to use a aluminium drift punch when you tap the woodruff key into the crankshaft to prevent damage, that is not the way to put the bottom timing gear on, and you should Put the crank seal in, before installing the timing cover.

Couple of questions why don't you just go up a little bit more money and put the double roller timing chain and gear on and in your Liquors why don't you soak them in a thing of oil for a couple hours and push down a little bit so they'll get full of oil before you ever inserted them that's the way I've always done it it works pretty good for me

Just a minor annoying thing. Calling the actual keys or key stock the key way. The keyway is the slot itself that the key slides into, either a scalloped design like in this crankshaft that uses a woodruff key. Or they can just be milled slots that take square or rectangular keys. Just something to keep in mind to maybe not confuse new builders or people new to mechanical terms or language.

  • @redneckswitwheels

NEVER EVER TAP THE CRANK SPROCKET ON, OR THE TORQUE CONVERTER. THE CRANK GEAR WILL SIMPLY SLIDE ON WITH A LITTLE HEAT. PUT IT ON A HOT PLATE, HEAT WITH A PROPANE TORCH ALL IT TAKES IS A LITTLE HEAT AND USE CHANNEL LOCK PLIERS AND SLIDE IT ON. WHEN INSTALLING THE BALANCER ALWAYS JUST THE CORRECT TOOL WHICH IS 25 BUCKS ON EBAY
IF U USE A HAMMER U WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE THRUST WASHER.
