      Thank you so much for your video Michael - the practice has strengthened and eased by body and mind over the last couple of challenging months. I’d love to hear how this video can be used when increasing the number of repetitions. There’s something so peaceful about your approach, voice & rest between each practice which I want to retain without leaping up to pause and unpause. IGrateful for any suggestions. Alison 🙏

    I started practicing the Five Tibetans in May 2020 and gradually worked up to the 21 reps by weekly increments. I am 70 and have never felt better! I stopped for two months after my wife passed, but realized that I was much happier and healthier when I was doing them consistently, so I began again and do not plan to stop. Practicing them in the morning consistently seems to work best for me, before my daily activities begin. I highly recommend them - they are not as daunting as they appear once your body adjusts and grows stronger.

      Sorry for your loss. May your wife enjoy her new found freedom on the other side. There is so much evidence that we go on. There is no death.
      As for the exercises I’ve been doing these two years now and when I don’t I notice the difference. I dance to some EW&F of Bhangra afterwards and feel exhilarated.. It’s a great workout combo!

    At the 4th exercise, breathing must be very precise. When the body is on top, you hold the air for 2-3 seconds, straining the whole body .then exhale, back down and relax...and again. If you do it right, you will feel a heat wave all over your body. very importent!!!!

Sending metta your way brother thanks for your vids x

    Could the inhalation/exhalation portions of the technique be reversed? I’ve seen you use some of these techniques in your other videos, but the breathing pattern was reversed. Could you discuss a bit why the breath is drawn in when it is and exhaled when it is? I’m interested in learning about these various things but do not have access to someone in person who can teach them. Your videos are easily the best resource I’ve found personally. Sorry for all the questions. Learning via video is challenging, as I’m sure instructing is. Thank you again for all you do.

    • @yogalap
      @yogalap  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Dear Jesters, some will say this, some will say that. What you do with the body is not so important once you understand the deeper layers of reality and see that it is all about intention and mindset. Feel what feels right for you and let your inner compass guide you.
      Peace and blessings, Michaël

    I'm 64 and use to practice 4 tibetan rites (the 5th is included in Surya namaskar wich i'm doing 12 times)The theory said this rites speeds the chacra rotation.I'm interesting if there's any method for mesuring speed of chakra rotation?(in order to check out before, and after excersize.)

    • @sheilangumi-mbugua2173
      @sheilangumi-mbugua2173 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes there may be something that may interest you, when it comes to finding out about your own Chakra rotations before and after the 5 Tibetan Rites.
      Try a Pranic Healing class. Prana, as you may know, means Energy in Sanskrit. So it is a class, and a School, that teaches the ancient and modern uses of the energy that is all around us, to heal our bodies, as well as improve the situations in our lives. Pranic Healing explains the how and why of the 11 Major Chakras of the body. As well as what to do to rectify conditions in the body to create healing(for example, you can learn why the 5 Tibetan Rites work the way they do, and learn to scan your chakras, & those of others, in your very 1st class, to verify for yourself. ) You can read about the Pranic Healing school online. Pranic Healing is non religious and non denominational, as Energy is Energy, regardless of skin, colour and creed.
      If you are intrigued, you could go further and either book a healing from a certified Pranic Healer near you, or go even further, and take the Basic Pranic class near you. Pranic Healing is found in nearly most countries in the world.
      Oh and you can take a look at the Meditation on Twin Hearts that can be found on TH-cam. Meditation on Twin Hearts is based on the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi but, is non religious, non denominational. Use the meditation to allow yourself the opportunity to be a channel to bless the world with Divine Light, Divine Love and Divine Power. Use this Divine Energy, freely given, and direct it towards situations in these tough times that you would like to see healing, growth and/or transformation. Bless too, yourself and your family/friends, your business/work, and whatever other situation in your life you would like to see transformation. Meditation on Twin Hearts is freely given and available online as well as on TH-cam. It is done by children in schools as well as seniors. You could look up the Pranic Healing Foundation of your country, and ask to come join a meditation. Mostly done via Zoom, nowadays.
      Either way. Love and Light. And may you find the answer you seek to your question about chakras. :-)

I am 71 and not very flexible but would really like to enjoy this sequence. I am finding the rites very challenging, especially RIte Number 4. It's weird I did the rites for a whole year without having a day off . A strange thing has happened now it's the now 2021 . And I feel like I'm starting all over again . I'm now feeling the energy around my head and body. Which stopped a year after exercising . Also the muscle ache . Is that usual. I have heard you can hit platues. And then it works all over again.

    Hi Michael.
    If I want to combine the five tibetans with pranayama practises as a morning ritual, would you recommend doing the tibetans before or after pranayama?
    Regards

    • @yogalap
      @yogalap  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Dear Thomas, You can do it both before or after the pranayama session.
      Just keep in mind that:
      - When doing a pranayama session it is important to have opened up and stretched the body at least a little bit, even if it is just a gentle 5 minute warmup.
      - When you have done a strong yoga asana session or something like 5 tibetan rites before doing a pranayama session, always take time to let everything settle and harmonize. The heart rate has to be calm, the nervous system relaxed and the blood pressure normal. So lie down and relax for at least 5 minutes before starting pranayama session after strong work out.
      Peace and blessings,
      Michaël
